Jesus, he had a bad game. It happens. And let's be honest, guys like you wouldn't have given him any credit if he'd had a good game. Will they release him? I cannot imagine why they'd do that but this is the Browns so anything is possible. They've made knee jerk decisions before.
Everyone needs to take a deep breath and realize this was a team effort. No one is blameless here. Not the players, coachs or the GM. No one.

I don't like Frye...at all. I was however behind him 100% when he came onto the field. I want to win football games, if could have done SOMETHING productive, I would have given him credit for doing it, but he didn't.

Winslow, Sean Jones, Wimbley, Bodden, A.Davis, L.Williams, D.Jackson, Braylon Edwards...
Those are guys who have had multiple good games.

Being the QB, You Take All The Blows
But 99% of Frye's Criticism, Is Self Inflicted
His Play Is InterTwined With Our Beliefs That Frye Just Isnt a Good QB, He Isnt Even Mediocre
He Pretty Much Stinks.
He's a Payed Professional, He Still Makes The Same MIstakes Hes Made All Along
The Excuses For Frye Are All Laughable At This Point.

I'd say it's more likely Romeo's or Phil's but think what you will.

It's a team effort, dude. One person loses they all lose. And they've all lost about 23 times in the last 2 years. Can't be a whole lot of good games in there. And thank you, I will continue to think that way.

I think you can bank on this now. Going back to the end of last year and Romeo's indecisiveness on who the starter would be in 2007, then the trade to draft Quinn, to the coin flip on who the starter would be for our first pre season game, to the changing of QB's in todays Pittsburgh game, to the crowd chanting for Brady, the QB debate is just about in full effect now.
I'm going week 4, by that time I have a feeling that Romeo is going to be feeling the pressure that his job is in serious danger, and will sit the two best backups in the NFL in Frye and Anderson and try to save his hide.
I would much rather wait on playing him this early, but it is what it is.
lol, Frye and Anderson would be the 2 best backup QB's in the NFL???

fwiw, I think there's a good chance that we'll see Quinn before the bye week, even though I really hope it doesn't happen.

I'm at a loss for words. The Packers and Texans won today - two teams who I thought we would be much better than, and I believe the Raiders put up 21 pts in their loss.
Packers will win 8 or more games this year. Their defense is solid and if they get any offense, they'll win 10 games.

Just because the team loses doesn't mean a player didn't have a good individual performance...
Do you happen to remember Holcomb against Pittsburgh in the playoffs, want to tell me he played horrible?

Oh the good old days when qb controversies were moderately enjoyable and the team falsely appeared to have an upside. After the 58-48 Cincy game, someone argued that Holcomb scored too fast not giving the defense enough time to rest.

good point...i'd gladly take Holcomb and Couch vs. Anderson and Frye
Luckily, we have an ace in the whole that we are saving for the right time...

he should start next week. Frye was horrific, Anderson wasn't much better. The whole concept of a team is play who gives you the best chance to win, No one can tell me Quinn doesn't give us a better chance to win than Frye or DA. Sure Brady will make his rookie mistakes, but Chuck is the one who looked like a rook today, year three and he still makes bonehead plays, nice knowning you chuck. Its just embarrasing to watch this team get shellaced like that.

I'd gladly take Couch or Holcomb in that debate. Holcomb and Garcia are the only two qbs we've had that are at least respectable elsewhere. I don't consider either of them legit starters, but we've seriously regressed in the qb department.
About 3 years ago, the fans complained that it didn't matter who you threw back there, as long as you have no line and poor weapons we'll never win. For three years now, the FO has made our o-line into one of the most expensive in the league. We drafted Edwards, have expanded Winslow's role, brought in Droughns and further upgraded to Lewis, got JJ and drafted Joe Thomas. All of this is good except that we've ignored the qb position. The o-line is not a cure all as much as we all wanted it to be. The qb remains the most important position in football. We paved a parking lot and put up a correctional facility. The qb apologists/ qb doesn't matter people were in the super majority, including me. It does matter whose under center, and if that's not clear by now it will never be. Look at NO going to Brees. Look at teams like Miami and KC that have ignored the qb position following our own pattern. The two choices are equally awful, but I'll take Tom Brady behind the o-line of 3 years ago over Chuck behind the o-line of today.

Agree....No doubt that QB is the most important position out there. Very few Super Bowl teams, let alone playoff teams, don't have an above average QB. Yes, there are exceptions, but they are generally when the defense is completely dominate.
Hopefully Brady is the QB to take us there...

That's my biggest issue. If I'm Jamal Lewis or any other player on this team with this as the last year on my contract ....or.....Joe Jurevicus, Orpheus Roye or other veterans that may be their last year....can you hold your best option as an "ace in the hole".
I saw the reactions from BE, Winslow, Heiden on throws that are all over the damn place from Frye and Anderson. If I'm a vet or I'm depending on this team to make my money in Free Agency....I'm rattling the locker room asking for the kid to play.
I was firmly in the camp of waiting at LEAST until the Miami game to play Quinn but after see the ABSOLUTE INEPTITUDE at the QB position this week.....You have to play that ACE now and pray that it's the right decision.

Heldawg...nice to see you posting...
I agree...i'm in the hold out Quinn as long as you can camp, but to your point, what do you tell the players on your team? You have to firmly believe that Quinn is not ready to not start him. If they believe that, then I certainly don't want him starting but as soon as he is, he needs to be in the game.

I hate the thought of starting Quinn too early, but if he's even close to knowing the playbook... man the other two can't throw the damn ball. and I don't think CF is very bright either. CF is done, DA might be a good backup for us.

It seems like DA can find the open guy, but throws with the accuracy of a seven year old girls softball player. I can see him as a backup for this year and maybe a third stringer in the future.
This to me is clear: Brady is the best qb on our team right now. If he knows the playbook, I've reached the point where I think we might as well just play him. It might be in Romeo's best interest if he still wants to have a job. If he waits til the bye week, Grantham will be coaching this team.

I was just thinking the same thing about you.
I've started to respond to your nonsense a couple of times tonight but decided it wasn't worth it.
Ammo was handling you anyway. I think that KID has much more knowledge than you do. Hell, he called you out on it, and you didn't have much to say.
You're one of those guys like Mensa who is just blind to the obvious.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Give it up Mensa. At this point your drivel and stats are meaningless. We all watched the game.
Roll your eyes all you want, Menza hasn't defended Frye at all in this thread.
He stated that the bad QB play shouldn't and didn't trickle down, we just weren't very good. Can you come up with a logical arguement to that?

and on D .. u see an O that is INEPT as hell ... and a BIG PART of that is the QB's are considered to be on fire when they hit 2 passes in a row it doesnt TRICKLE DOWN??? pLEASE ...
Look dolts like ammo have no rioght to blame Frye or DA as much as they are .. they say ALOT OF DUMB ASS THINGS and make themselves look silly when doing it .. just like menZa is doing here ... read what he says .. he sounds SILLY as hell ....
this will be over soon .... about 5 weeks from now .. i hope we wait that long anyhow ...
