Americans buy a lot of meds from Canada because its way cheaper. As they have price caps. But, I guess that has nothing to do with single payer.

That's funny right there... tells you everything you need to know.

And I am sure if I beat the bushes and ask around I can find a friend of a friend with a story about a Canuk who came to the USA for treatment because the Canadian system is so barbaric and lousy !!! LOL. And for every one of those stories there are 1,000's of Canuks who will tell you they don't want any part of the ridiculous USA system. And for every bankrupt person in the USA despite being adequately insured but unlucky .... there are .... ZERO Canadians, Australians and British who are bankrupt ..... because .... drumroll .... they have 'National' healthcare!!!

And ... another drumroll please .... every and any worldwide survey of national healthcare lists those with National healthcare WAY WAY WAY above the USA. . . . go figure! Who knew the Deep State was so pervasive in every nation and in all the media around the world!!! LOL>

Go ahead - stick your head back in the sand and sing "LA LA LA LALALALA LA LA LA" at the top of your lungs ....

Bro, call an ENT and get in tomorrow. You can't even see most GPs on the same day or next day. Emergency rooms and urgent cares are for emergencies and urgent medical needs... Guess what? Canada has them too and you get right in. People wait there, just like here for services from specialists and others. It's just a matter of scheduling, just like here.

Your arguments against this are so weak! Nothing but troll blather.

Maybe you should do your homework tsktsk

What Canadians really pay for healthcare

WHO Healthcare rankings

World Health Organization’s Ranking of the World’s Health Systems
139

Some people fancy all health care debates to be a case of Canadian Health Care vs. American. Not so. According to the World Health Organization’s ranking of the world’s health systems, neither Canada nor the USA ranks in the top 25.

Improving the Canadian Healthcare System does not mean we must emulate the American system, but it may mean that perhaps we can learn from countries that rank better than both Canada and the USA at keeping their citizens healthy

Canada is ranked above the USA. So too England and Australia ... and, here's a clue - I think most of the top 10 have national health care .... so what are you trying to say?

W.H.O is QUALITY of care rankings, Canada is 30th, US 37th. They BOTH suck! France is ranked 1st and is a mixture of public and private. Obamacare was similar and costs 21% of income.

I see you didn't comment on what Canadians actually pay. superconfused

Meanwhile generic drug companies are colluding with each other to raise prescription drug prices anywhere from 100% to 2000% in the USA.

Thank you trump era policies and greed.

So the 1st lawsuit was filed in Dec. 2016. and you call this the Trump era? Trump is getting a grasp on the cost of prescription drugs if you haven't been paying attention.

Lowering drug prices

Wow, I was basically told I was full of crap by a couple posters on here when I said this....interesting!

A side note for those saying Trump spared his daughter and her clothing line; What was one of the 1st materials Trump imposed tariffs on? What material is used to construct Trumps buildings? Man are we selective in our arguments superconfused

Just so you Know,, Larry Kudlow, Trumps econ advisor says that we pay.... Actually he says we all pay... But when he says that, he's saying that China is paying with GDP losses.. But we, the Consumer,,, You and Me... We are paying. The American Farmer is paying as well...,

American industry that rely on parts imported from China are paying..

It’s still happening in the trump era and on trump’s watch now. And his grasp is an approach? An idea? Where’s that free flying Executive Order pen of his now when we really need it? Mmmm? He talks and barks. Like his sheep he doesn’t have a clue about legislation.

You pretty much did.... And on top of that you questioned my and others ability to understand business....

I said it before and I'll repeat it,, The person that pays for Trumps idiotic tariffs are the American Consumer......

And no matter how you slice it or attempt to change your tune, that's how it is.

China is raising tariffs on $60 billion of US goods starting June 1

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/13/china-is...ing-june-1.html

And they are targeting agriculture, again.

You know what? I don’t even feel bad for farmers anymore. I forgot that they voted for trump so...congrats, they got exactly what they wanted.

LMAO Swish, the first part was actually a QUESTION so I guess you're not referring to that!

The second part that's actually a statement that went unaddressed by you I'll comment like this; If Obama had the BALLS to challenge China, you'd be all for the tariffs.

Me, I choose to look at what the UNFAIR trade and stealing intellectual property is costing American business compared to what these TEMPORARY tariffs are costing us and make a decision what to support. NO MATTER WHO sits in the White House...but that's just me ooo

No, I wouldn’t be for tariffs, because WE pay that, not China.

Your comments continue to be of the WTF variety. But don’t worry, we’re not laughing with you. We’re laughing at you.

US Farmers filing bankruptcy at record paces under trump. And you expect me to cheer for that? Kick rocks.

This was a tweet a couple hours ago from China: Sure is good i went to all cash in the market about a week ago

China may stop purchasing US agricultural products and energy, reduce Boeing orders and restrict US service trade with China. Many Chinese scholars are discussing the possibility of dumping US Treasuries and how to do it specifically.

You are so laughable you won't even admit that when a business buys products made in China they too are consumers. Unless you make a product, when you buy that product, you too are a consumer.

And you know, it's kind of funny. Earlier in this thread you said that you, a consumer of appliances in your remodels, would eat the increased cost of those appliances. Now you claim you're doing those remodels without using Chinese products. Hmmmmm...

China can't dump Treasuries unless they want to kill their own economy.

They still sell us tons of goodies and we pay them in American Dollars. They have to do something with those Dollars which they do.

They buy Treasuries.

Unless they want to stop all trade with the US and kill their own economy. They may threaten but we are still their biggest costumer. They are the vendor.

We have the upper hand in this war.

Pit, you are a joke! I'm gonna help you out because I pity your ignorance saywhat

con·sum·er
/kənˈso͞omər/
noun
a person who purchases goods and services for personal use.
"consumer demand"
synonyms: purchaser, buyer, customer, shopper; More
a person or thing that eats or uses something.
"Scandinavians are the largest consumers of rye"

I've said it before, I'M PART OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN! I do not purchase building products for...wait for it.....PERSONAL USE! The people who buy my flips or remodels are using them personally so THEY are the consumer.

'IF' I bought Chinese products, I would eat the costs because it's inconsequential to the OVERALL price! I DON'T BUY CHINESE PRODUCTS!!! Now, when I'm done kicking those rocks Swish is gathering up, I'll pass them on to you rofl

Oh they are. Somehow daytna thinks he isn't a consumer when he buys those appliances. Yet the place he buys them from will tell you he's a customer just like everyone else is. He thinks he's some "special customer" because he's simply a middle man who turns around and sells them again.

And American consumers, just like daytna are paying the tariffs.

Speaking of Supply Chains, American business have been switching for 2 years now to Vietnam, Cambodia, India and others for supply.

This will only escalate as the war continues.

Makes perfect sense doesn't it? You have a choice between competitors that produce the same product. A short story; Back in 1992 I ran a replacement window and vinyl siding company. I had Alside, Norandex and Reynolds offer me exclusive lines of windows and siding because of the volume of business I did. I chose Alside because they acually gave me an exclusive product, not just a box that said manufactured exclusively for... Alside also had a rewards program that gave a trip to vaca destinations they chose 1992 was Turks and Caicos. You had to buy 100k to earn 1 trip. I passed those trips (yes, plural) to my customers in the form of a drawing! That's business my friend thumbsup

Other countries have the OPPORTUNITY to open new manufacturing plants to produce items we buy from China.

BTW, who's paying for the tariffs China imposed on us?

Yeah well if those nations could keep up with demand, but.......

Quote:
A report published by the China Economic Weekly, using data from the China Household Electrical Appliances Association, showed that the nation's production capacity of color televisions accounted for 80 percent of the world's total. Production capacities of air-conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines accounted for 70 percent, 50 percent and 40 percent, respectively.
