Bingo....this isn't some start over deal...this is simply a continuation of the past 2-3 years.

With Out a Doubt Peen The Coaches Have No Confidence In Him, And I Dont Think The Players Do Either. And The Biggest Of Them All, Frye Has ZERO Confidence In Himself Factor All That In With His Play.. We're At This Point The Coaches Gave Him a Fair Chance, He Supposedly "Won" The Starting QB Position That He Barely Won, If He Did At All He Had His Chance, Good Riddance! Go Browns!

It wouldn't bother or shock me if he got his pink slip by 5pm tomorrow.

sort of like couch, not emotionally tough enough to handle the bad times.
kinda sucks, I liked him as a person.
We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

I would sign Dorsey now and give Chuck his papers in the morning.
I heard Andre Knott, Browns beat reporter for the flagship station (WTAM) on the Triv show, saying that Dorsey was in Berea and that - based on his info - he thinks that Dorsey will be re-signed and Frye will be cut.

If they sign Dorsey, someone has to be cut in a day or two once they have to activate some punter. So who do they cut?? One of the QBs or some other guy. Some may think it a raw deal to cut Frye, and maybe it is....but to me it would be a raw deal to cut some other kid who made the squad. We sign a qb to the squad because our QB sucked, then cut someone to make sure we can keep the player who sucked.

Cut the new punter. That should free up the spot for Dorsey. Unless they plan to bring Perry back.

They will....maybe I missed something...they will still need to activate Zastudill ....did we cut someone else when we signed the other punter?? We were at the roster limit when the season started.

Zastudil was already, and still is on the roster. We just carried 2 punters while he recovered from his injury.
We released DB Perry to make room for the new punter.

As crazy as this sounds, Couch was a decent QB, he just had to run for his life week in and week out. It would be cool to see him brought in under an improved o-line.

Ok...thanks for clearing that up for me.

Apparently you are unaware of the other several teams that he was not good enough to remain on. Or perhaps the HGH rumors around Couch lately. Or the major surgery he had on his arm recently???

My guess is Lerner has much to do this this decision.
As a owner, it has to be a real concern when your team is getting booed at home before halftime of the first game and see tens of thousands walking home long before the conclusion of the game.
Trivisano reported that Browns employees said that Lerner left his suite during the 2nd quarter and entered the brown locker room alone and sat there.
Lerner like him or not wants to win. He has taken the advice of football people in selecting his organization. He probably feels the worst out of any of the browns FO. He cant help it that he isnt competent enough to be more involved with making decisions and to his credit he hasnt meddled in a way that is wrong for a non-football person to. That is why he selected Phil and that is why Phil & Randy selected RAC. It just hasnt worked out and it has to be killing Randy.
If Frye goes I wish him luck but nobody whether they are from Ohio, a fan favorite, have alot of upside or MOXY is above this team. That is the way it has to be.
There have been so many players since 99 that fans have gushed over as if they were good football players that would be lucky to make another NFL squad. There are still quite a few around and when we finally start seeing it for what it is and stopping this ridiculous attachment to crappy football players the better off we will be as fans. I like Charlie but there comes a point at which you just got to face the facts.
He isnt a NFL starter.

I just listened to the presser and I pick up on the same thing. There's gonna be a change tomorrow as soon as the players are notified. Sounds to me like Brady is going to get the nod. Why not. Even if it means a losing season, I think the fans will embrace him enough to accept a losing season one more time if it means Quinn will be our future and there's a light at the end of this long long, long, tunnel. I know I'll support him... Win Lose or Whatever.

I think you have great insight My guess is Dorsey is back, Frye is gone and DA starts as long as we can stand it. Not sure on the Quinn start time though..

Actually I think it would have more to do with "how" Brady goes 1-15 than the fact that we are 1-15...If Quinn is an interception machine...then yes people will be all over him. But if he is able to keep us close in games....then he gets a pass. Even if he throws more INT's than TD's (which is pretty normal for rooks)
In a way I see it similar to Vince Young. Vince Young Isn't considered a great QB (well except by the casual fans) But what I think can not be disputed is that Vince is the undisputed Leader of the Titans.
Neither of our starters can say that they are the leaders of the team. I mean think about this....The team voted a Center, a WR, and a TE as their captains on offense.....I didn't think about it then....and I don't know if anyone else did either...but shouldn't that have ben a warning to us...the the players themselves didn't think that their QB was their Leader.....their Captain.
I don't know where I stand on bringing Brady in. A part of me thinks he can handle it. The other part of me wants him to come in Right at the moment when he is ready to. Now maybe he is ready now.....I don't think so...but then I haven't seen the kid practice....
The question we have to answer is this: If he gets off to a slow start, will it affect his confidence and ruin him. So basically I think the matter here is really about Brady's mental toughness more than it is his physical toughness. I think mentally he can hack it if he goes and stinks it up for a while...The kid played at Notre Dame....He has been under scrutiny ever since he pulled on the Golden Helmet. People booing and judgeing him is nothing new. Heck....look at all the crud he has taken from the draft and then his subsequent holdout....
The problem I see is in the knowledge of the offense. Does he know enough about his his offense and his reads to know where he is going before the ball is snapped????
I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...
What's the use of wearing your lucky rocketship underpants if nobody wants to see them????

I sit in the middle on the same side of the stadium, so my angle is not great for looking into his suite with my binoculars, but I didn't see anybody in there, but figured they were back, away from the window..
He probably just wanted to be alone, not wanting to make rash statements in front of Savage and family in the heat of the moment.

You can call common sense a conspiracy theory if you like. No crime in that No I call common sense..commom sense. When I see posts(and it's not U..at least I don't recall this..) saying Phil is setting up Rac or the FO is setting them up..thats stupid..
All anybody cares about is what RAC "does and produces". His decision making or lack there of. And if he's told to do somethign and he does it YOU CAN'T SET HIM up for failure..well some of you can..cuze you will regardless..
He's backed himself into a corner on this QB thing This is where you ALWAYS GO OFF THE BRIDGE AND BURN.
The QB's backed him up because THEY CAN'T PRODUCE..for some oddball reason(stubborness) U fail to see that. Neither can get the job done on a consistant basis .. I kept telling you that..U just get hung up on the QB competition..guess why Dorsey's back???

JC.. One positive...even as bad as we played, we aren't last in the stats (well except sacks taken) And we tied Atlanta with 6 for that. PTS 7.0 (28th) YDS 221.0 (27th) PASS YDS 175.0 (20th) RUSH YDS 46.0 (31st)

I think Romeo is running out of time...Savage may be too
Personally i think Savage will get a chance to pick one more coach...Unless Cowher or Marty wants to come here

Personnel wise, it would be really easy for Marty to step right in. He is already familiar with Chud and can tweak Grantham's 3-4.
