You can get DirecTV and subscribe the the NFL Sunday Ticket. Living south of Nashville that's the only option I know of. It's a little pricey but I've paid for it during what I knew would be bad seasons so I'll be damned if I'm going to give it up now.

By calling in August I've always managed to negotiate the price down.

Really? ... even since AT&T bought them out? .. i used to be able to negotiate down ... not since AT&T has bought them out ... i love love love negotiating ... guess I’ll be giving them a call soon just to see if i can negotiate it down ... i’ll still do what i’ve done the past couple years ... i just love the challenge and have to see if i can do it ... i’m competitive in everything ... it even took me a few games before i could let my nephews win at games .... *L* ..

IF u have a family member or friend u trust and want to save a few bucks ... here’s what i been doing the last few years ...

If u sign a 2 year contract with DTV u get the ticket for free as one of the perks ... u get your home TV and one other user can get it on their mobile device ... so what I’ve done with my brother is year 1 i get it ... tickets at my house he gets the mobile app that year ... he watches on his putter/ipad or hooks them up to his TV and streams through there ... the next year ... he gets DTV on his TV and I get to use the “streaming service” ...

We both use DTV as our provider so were going to have the service anyhow ... so IMO it’s FREE MONEY for very little to no inconvenience ...

My fiancée has actually gotten rid of TV all together as she watches very little to none and when i stay at her house i don’t miss it at all ... about the only thing i don’t get on my DTV app is the local Channels and the fox regular tv station ...

A lot to like in that video.

--Some of the play designs by Freddie were awesome. I really like him as a play-caller and play-designer.

--Some of the throws by Baker were unbelievably accurate and they had some mustard on them, too.

--Landry is such a good receiver. He runs great routes, is quick in and out of his breaks, has the great hands, is shifty when carrying the ball, and is a tough dude.

There is so much to look forward to this upcoming season.

My only suggestion is to negotiate in August. One of their sales reps gave me that tip a couple of years ago. It's worked every year since. Even when ATT&T took over.

I always renegotiate my contract when it's time to renew every year as well. I have a huge channel line up with HBO and AXS TV. I love it for the music concerts and musician interviews. My wife has to have certain channels that require a deluxe channel package that I certainly wouldn't require on my own.

I love my wife and we have a very happy marriage. But being married changes things. I used to be able to make it rain at the strip club. Now I can barely afford to make it sprinkle.

DTV sucks since ATT bought them. They used to have world class customer service, but now it's just a rumor.

I left DTV for Dish a few years ago, and I get more channels for about 2/3 the price. They also still have a referral program, which I have heard DTV dropped.

For $94, all taxes and fees in, using one referral from Dish, I get the top 100 package, with all of the sports, the Hopper 3, with a ridiculous 12 tuners, a Joey, and voice remotes. (which I love)

As far as ATT, if I never use their services again, it'll be too soon. My mom wants to maintain a landline, because, well, she's 86. I could get her a VOIP and internet for less than she pays for ATT local phone service plus caller ID/call waiting. Absolutely shameful on ATT's part. She wants that hardwired phone, though.

One thing that amazes me about DTV is how they can do stuff only after you have left them. I asked for the same deal for my mom as Dish gave me. "Oh, we can't do that". I switched my mom to Dish, and about a month after all of the equipment went back, I get all of these "amazing" offers, which were better than anything they offered when I said I was going to cancel her service. Ticking your customers off to the extent that they leave, and then trying to get them back is a rather stupid way to do business.

I have a very similar package for about the same price. If I lived where you did I may consider it. But I live south of Nashville. Dish doesn't have the NFL ticket. That's the reason I'm a DTV customer.

If you lived here, would you choose Dish and not watch the Browns games?

I didn't think so....

I would probably just go to a BW3, or a sports bar, and watch the games, especially since at least 4 of our games this year will be on national TV this year.

Just "NFL Sunday Ticket" with DirecTV...and that is approximately $300/year

For me at least....watching the game Live isn't as important as actually getting to see the game...LOL I still go watch with the Brownsbackers from time to time...they are a great bunch...but it is very frustrating trying to see the game, by ANY means, living "South of Nashville" as you say.

$99/ year vs dealing with DTV and all the foibles of satellite in Hurricane Alley and paying another $300/yr on top of that...

Well I can handle waiting a few hours...Besides, as I said...I get to keep the wife happy (that alone is worth it...lol) I watch it in the comfort of MY man cave, on MY big screen, in MY recliner, with MY beer, and MY my food...lol And I don't have to watch any commercials!!!!

For me...Game Pass is worth it...Glad you found your outlet... thumbsup

But now my streaming provider dropped NFL Network...so I may change that up...That is easy as those contracts are always month to month...

I wish DirecTv would offer a single team package. I don't want all of the games, I don't watch all of the other games. I want to watch the Browns game, then I will make due with whatever the other national games are for Thursday night, 4:00 game, Sunday night game, Monday night game... that's more than enough football for me.

I would gladly pay $100 a year and all I want is a guarantee that I can watch every Browns game. I'm sure the technology exists to make that happen.

I can only assume that DTv has run the numbers and weighed the number of new folks who would sign up for it compared to the number of $300/year subscribers who would scale back to it... and determined it's a net loser for them.. I don't know. But I can hope. Either that or the demonic NFL just won't let them offer it like that.

I will add that the $300 price tag becomes even harder to stomach in years like this (which have been few) when the Browns are good and will be on national TV probably half a dozen times.. so I would now effectively be paying $300 for about 8-10 Browns games.... No thanks.

Hey, if that works for you that's great. I love using the replays and breaking plays down. That, and trying to watch a game at a place like BW-3's or a sports bar is nearly impossible to do unless you're just as casual observer. The noise and such makes it hard for me to actually watch a game in such an environment.

I also record and watch other games. There are certain players and teams I like to follow. I'm certainly a Browns fan first, but I'm also a huge NFL fan. The NFL Sunday Ticket allows me to watch the Browns in real time and follow the rest of the NFL as well.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Heres a trick I learned having lived all over the world and trying to watch browns games. A DTV rep once told me this secret. ymmv disclaimer. Heres what I do. After the season, call DTV and cancel Sunday Ticket (even though not technically active it shows as subscribed), then in august, call to complain about your bill being to high blah blah and you want to cancel, get sent to retention, you can actually get your bill lower AND sunday ticket for free by asking for it to keep you a customer.

This. I really enjoy the sports bar gameday experience.

Because its gets rowdy and everybody is cheering their team. Great energy and atmosphere!
And its fun to chat with random football fans. Everybody has opinions about teams and players.
And talk/boo to rival teams fans.
And sometimes I make new friends who are also Browns fans.

No, this is not through DirecTV.

Game Pass is through the NFL...you can see the ads on nfl.com It partners with NFL Network. So if you have any subscription that includes NFL Network you can get that content through the apps as well.

https://gamepass.nfl.com/packages?redirected=true&icampaign=nfl-nav-gamepass

So....you get:
--live preseason games except for teams local to your area...
------for example here in Charleston I cannot get the live preseason games for the Jags and Panthers.
--Replays of all the other games
------yes replays of playoffs too
--replays are available shortly after the last Day game has completed on Sunday
------Now the site says after the live game ends...BUT I have never seen that... it was always about 7:30 - 8:00 before the games were available. However, I don't discount that this could be new.
--Film Session
--Condensed Games (watch a game in 45 min)
--Live Audio
--NFL Films Content
--NO COMMERCIALS

It is internet streaming so it is available through apps via phone, PC, or Smart TV (or streaming device like Amazon Fire stick, Roku, etc)

Another link that can help.

If memory serves me right (and it may not, so correct me if I'm wrong) but Gamepass streaming to a proper TV isn't so cut and dry. Logging in via your phone to your Gamepass account might let you watch a video feed, but logging in via other means may not. Example, I put the app on my Xbox, and video wasn't allowed on there. Similary, the Gamepass app won't let you cast to a Chromecast. The intention behind all this is that if you're going to watch on a TV, you have to pay for the more expensive subscription.

Again, that's my recollection from last season. Please correct me where I'm wrong.

Doesn't your TV have a browser? I have Google's browser in the "apps" section of my TV's software, and can open a video from the Browns website, for example, and just play it full screen.

I have the NFL.com app on my Amazon Fire TV....And I access through there. If you have a "Smart TV" (was not so sure what you mean by "proper" TV) you should probably be able to get the NFL app through it (for example my Sony can access an app...but I prefer to go through the Fire TV). I saw on the link that it should be compatible with Chromecast now. If you don't have a Smart TV the Fire Stick from Amazon, Chromacast, and the Roku all can be had under $40

Site says it should be compatible with XBox...so you may want to contact them about it...

Good news ... this oughta bode well for your hero getting back into the league ... looks like his 1st draft pick has a decent shot to make a team ... hopefully he don’t get traded for a few balls then cut twice like he did last year ... it was a rough year 3 for your boys 1st pick .... rofl ... maybe the rest of the league will take notice now that it looks like CC may pan out after all ...

CONGRATS and GOOD LUCK to this opening some doors for your boy ... thumbsup #device#chs#deputy ..

COREY COLEMAN
WR, NEW YORK GIANTS

Corey Coleman is the front-runner for the Giants' No. 3 receiver job heading into camp.

Fifth-round rookie Darius Slayton and Cody Latimer will push the former first rounder in camp, but Coleman closed out the offseason program in the lead. This competition is unlikely to carry much fantasy significance, but the Giants need a deep threat to emerge.

By a proper TV, I mean an actual TV (not a tablet or phone or computer, etc).

I don't believe I have a browser on any of my TVs. The app is compatible with Xbox, yes, and it'll show scores and maybe carry audio (?) of the game, but it won't show a live video feed. The app also didn't allow me to cast the video stream to my Chromecast when I could watch it on my phone. This might have been because the game was being broadcast in my area (I live in Cinci), but I don't remember for sure.

All I know is that despite my best efforts, I'm not able to lock down watching the Browns live now that I've cut cable. It's funny, but the most reliable way to watch is pirated streams.

theres actually a couple good threads on reddit thats lists all the good streams for nba/nfl. Though I think they shut the nba one down. If you have Kodi, get smoothstreams
