There’s two days every year (and only two days) when there is never a U.S. major league game played. (baseball, football, hockey, basketball)

The days before and after the Major League Baseball All-Star game.

Today is the first worst day.

The second is the day after.

I used to watch sports every day on TV during my barfly days. I dreaded these two days.

You don't consider the WNBA to be professional sports? That's a bit sexist, don't ya think.....

The WNBA?

I’m truly sorry I offended your tender sensitivities.

Are you like the league commissioner?

I'm not wrong.

I would normally simply ignore your nonsense like I usually do. But, I'm in a good mood, it's the dead time and I'm bored.

So chew on this:

The WNBA is a professional league, but it's far from a major league. (it's only professional because the players are paid)

Connecticut has a WNBA franchise. (I would have to look up the name). The games/scores/standings are never mentioned on the local news. I'd have to look up what city and arena they play their home games in.

I have never heard anyone talk about Connecticut's WNBA team.

Or of Connecticut having a major league team (since the NHL Whalers left in the '90s)

The UCONN women's basketball is the only game in town when it comes to women's basketball.

So you go ahead and pretend your feathers are ruffled and have the final word.

Na...chick sports don't count. I do like womens diving competitions and gymnastics.....Ok, that is a sexist rant.

For the record, I am not a sexist, but have to admit I like springboard competitions.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

You should have qualified this as "MENS" and then listed those sports.

The only one I've heard of referred to as a "major league" is baseball.. nobody refers to the other 3 as "major leagues"... nobody, well, maybe in Connecticut... I don't know.

Like I said, if 99% of the country says they have or don't have a major league team.... the only sport people think about is baseball. If you went to Nashville and said, "Do you have a major league team?" The answer would be, "No, we only have football and hockey."

The U.S.A. women's soccer team just won the its 4th World Cup and it's been fairly widely reported as a big deal.

wink

Just sayin'.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
