You need to have your system setup on a network.
Xbox.com has some articles on how to do this.
I tired in my PC. Have a router and get online with xbox fine.
I tried to use media connct program to have the PC " see" the Xbox.
But For some reason My brothers Xbox does not "see" the PC.
I have searched everywhere for a good answer to this and nobody seems to have one.
If you are running Windows media center edition PC.
This should not be a problem . Supposed to be as easy as running your wire form router unless you are wireless network capable.

This is not your question but may help you if you want songs from CD put on the 360.


To rip music from a CD to an Xbox 360 Hard Drive:

Turn on your Xbox 360 console with no disc in the tray.
Load an audio CD. The Xbox 360 music player will launch and CD playback will begin.
Select Rip CD to view the Rip CD screen. By default, all the tracks on the CD will be selected. If you do not want to copy all the tracks, manually de-select the tracks that you do not want to rip.


When you're ready to generate your audio files, select Rip CD again to begin ripping.
Note

You cannot listen to music while the console is ripping a CD.

I always go CD to XBOX. Its very easy, but Ive never done PC to XBOX.
