There are age concerns, but good LTs can last a little longer. He is in his 10th season. Joe Thomas played 11. I believe that most Hall of Fame LTs have fewer than 13. A trade for him IS a short-term rental.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Seeing Schubert’s less than average pass grade is concerning ... our LBs haven’t performed well, as was apparent against SEA and SF
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I wonder if the combination of how much zone we play and the injuries in the secondary diminish the reliability of Joe's grade?

I wonder if the combination of how much zone we play and the injuries in the secondary diminish the reliability of Joe's grade? this could be too. We play way more zone than I recall from last season. We’ve also seen a few times where miscommunications have cost us big scores in big spots

Just putting this here:
Demarious Randall has removed all references to the Browns on his social media ... hmm, trade winds maybe swirling

Crazy conspiracy theories have bled over from politics into sports.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I have to question Randall a bit. He showed up with the green hair and people asked him if it had anything to do with getting paid. He said no he lost a bet. Funny thing is he still has it and it seems like he redid it. I don't know, and I think no one else does either, if he is disgruntled, but the concussion thing and him saying he wasn't concussed, happened right after he bad mouthed Williams. Maybe he has changed how he feels about playing here, or he is upset no extension has been offered.
It's hard to say what's going on, but as usual, many posters here have come up with conspiracy theories, much like what I wrote above, and spout them like they are fact.

I wonder what the trade value is for:
Kareem Hunt Antonio Callaway Rashard Higgins Genard Avery Damarious Randall
These guys are expendable if we can get additional help somewhere else.
Chubb is rolling. What can Hunt really bring other than less touches for Chubb?
Callaway has great potential. Higgins has been reliable when he has played. Why keep both?
Avery is not playing. He could have real value to a 3-4 team.
Randall is good but we have depth and he has not signed a new contract.
Dorsey likes to use trades to upgrade position weakness.
All these guys are good players in their prime. How can they be used to upgrade the team?
Keep them or trade them?

I'm not sure why having dyed hair is an issue or why it's even part of your question. He dyed his hair for fun, or lost a bet...whatevs. A lot of people dye their hair.

Kareem Hunt Antonio Callaway Rashard Higgins Genard Avery Damarious Randall 4 of the 5 mentioned Dorsey brought here, and Higgins being part of the trade conversation, although real, is so disheartening. -Callaway really has no trade value. -Higgins, Randall, and Hunt will be a FA at the end of the year. Randall will demand #1 FS money. -Avery hasn't even been on the active roster this year.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

He has not played. He will be a free agent.
All would be available in trade if the other party has interest.

Callaway does have trade value.
He is young and talented. He put up pretty good numbers in his first year after not playing for a year.
There could be many teams interested in him. Actually I believe he is seen internally as having more value than Higgins.
Speed always has value.
Avery is a young player who played well last year. There is always a market for pass rushers.
Free agent after this year does not mean the player does not have value. After this weekend before the Tuesday trade deadline there is still 9 games to play.
There are plenty of teams that are in need of players and who would like to add players to stay in contention.

I just remember when he was first asked about it. It was right around the time they were supposedly talking about his contract. Right around the same time Ramsey backed up the brinks truck. He said at the time it was temporary, yet he looks to have kept it. I'm not saying that's why he did it, but he sure didn't do it just to have green hair, he said so himself.

Nope, but I had very long hair as a teen and well into my 20s (past my elbows). All I am saying is a lot of people color/dye their hair. I wouldn't read too much into it. My son's girlfriend has platinum/silver white dyed hair and she looks fantastic. Esp with her skin coloring and the clothes she wears. I have many students with dyed hair...one who has half her hair bright lime green, the other half bright purple. It's fun and looks great.

All depends on the deal.
I would trade any of them for the right player.
Trades are a two way street. If you want someone you have to give something up.
Everyone of those players has value. It really is about what are you prepared to give up for what you want?
Hunt is a very good back but I am wondering how to play both him and Chubb. Both are guys who can do it all alone.
Callaway could be a great player. But there is risk. Dorsey and staff know him. Not sure myself if he will reach his potential or go south.
Higgins came up with the Browns. So they know him and what he brings. Nothing special in talent but he delivers when on the field.
Avery needs to go. If they are not going to play him why keep him? He has not played and is listed as third string on the depth chart. I would think teams in need of a pass rusher would have an interest.
Randall is a good player. I am interested in production. Yes, he talks a load of trash. But if he is not a cancer in the locker room and delivers on the field. Not everyone is sings in the church choir.

I couldn't care less what color a person's hair is, or the length. Just messing wiht you a little but knowing where a person comes from helps understand their viewpoint. Someone in military school all their lives might tend to have a different perspective.

Randall can make plays, and I'll always have a soft spot for him due to the interception handoff to Hue. Let's not get rid of talent because they have green hair, lol.

[/color]Seems pretty clear that Dorsey wants to do something with the OL.
We can debate holding the ball, deep drops, rankings, whatever.
Dorsey along with the staff must feel a change is needed.
Who is trade bait on the Browns?
IMO. Callaway, Njoku, Avery, Higgins and someone from the DB's.
I am pretty sure the Browns have already traded 5th, 6th and 7th rounders. So they only have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th.
I don't see trading picks from 2020. Maybe 2021.
So my guess depending upon who is available. Someone from the team is getting traded.
I think Dorsey wants to keep Callaway for the future. But if he is a deal maker for the right guy. Gone.
I thought that the OL was playing great what is all the concern - cause obviously its Bakers fault...I can't believe somebody posted how good DA was...lol
unbelievable smh

I don't think trading for a LT is the right way to go. We got to draft one. Draft him in the first. I hope Corbett is not indicative of what Dorsey can bring through the draft!

I agree with Diam, Hunt is a keeper, rare athlete that doesn't come along very often. As for the others, all tradable if thedeal is right. I'd like to see Calloway turn it around and become the WR that he can be, he does have talent, speed kills and he has it in bunches, but he needs to concentrate on catching the ball and get his personal life straightened out. I'm not sure I'd give theworld for Trent Williams, very good LT, sure, but he's 30/31, Thomas retired at 34, I'm not giving the world for a couple of years, plus, he's holding out, kind of a diva move, just sayin'.

One guy I was wondering about is Jake Matthews LT Falcons.
He is 27/28 years old.
The Falcons have to make changes. I have no idea if they would have an interest in trading him?
But I would call and ask. They have to get better in a number of areas. Matthews is a valuable player.
He would be a guy who could bring more players or draft stock.
