Mike McCarthy seems like a great candidate but I just can't shake the memory of him being conservative with the Packers in the exact wrong moments. I don't see how a year hanging out with his buddies changes that.

Yeah...I wouldn't want 9 playoff berths and a superbowl ring either...i prefer the conservative no superbowls in 3 generations...i think thats the right amount of conservative

Mike McCarthy seems like a great candidate but I just can't shake the memory of him being conservative with the Packers in the exact wrong moments. I don't see how a year hanging out with his buddies changes that. I agree ... his offense didn’t seem innovative or good enough when it counted, and that was with Rodger

They then fail in their next stop because they never adjust. No Super Bowl winning head coach has ever won again in his next job. Here's the list: Joe Gibbs - Took time off and then went back to Washington and was bad Mike Ditka - Epic flameout with the Saints George Seifert - George Seifert - 16-32 with the Carolina Panthers Bill Parcells - Had some success but never won a Super Bowl, 95-81 as head coach of non-Giant teams Jimmy Johnson - 36-28 with the Dolphins Mike Holmgren - 86-74 with the Seahawks, lost in the Super Bowl, I would say he is the most successful off this list Mike Shanahan - 24-40 with Washington Dick Vermeil - 44-36 with Kansas City Jon Gruden - TBD With all that said, I wouldn't mind Mike McCarthy because I believe he has a good chance at rebuilding the QB. I don't believe what he has to say about being a changed man with regards to data and scheme.

I think with McCarthy you get two things.. You get a guy who's built a team culture before and you get a known commodity with a track record of success. So what this allows you to do is atleast get a NFL culture in the locker room, play professionally on the field, and get a better evaluation of the talent of the team. So even if MM isn't here in 4 years, he will have atleast got the team rowing in the right direction. More than likely a few playoff appearances and now you have a foundation of winning you can build off. Going a coordinator could be boom or bust. As far as superbowl winning coach not winning with another team, someone always has to be the first to do it.

Actually, in 2018 they had RB by committee with both Jones and Jamaal Williams getting a lot of carries and both being productive. Actually both RB's started 8 games.

It even came out he was changing plays in huddle last year and not running what MM called. It’s hard to overcome that as a coach. What was MM going to do, call out Rodgers? I think the split had to happe. For both of them. I personally think AR is a talented douche

I agree, that is unprofessional. First, you don't interview people for coach while you still employ a coach. Second, you don't interview for another coaching position if the team still employs a coach. It's a matter of ethics and professional courtesy.

I don't think Jerry Jones has to worry about other teams wanting to hire Jason Garrett. Jones has an emotional attachment to Garrett.
