I applaud Lawrence O’Donnell and think in terms of a trumpian world, he should get the medal of freedom hung around his neck by the next democrat first lady.

It's not whining ... It's about looking at the FACTS of how the POTUS has handled the crisis.
It's called holding people ACCOUNTABLE for their actions and words and deeds.
For someone who complains about the wooseyfication of the USA - it's odd that you choose to want to gloss over all the things Trump has said and done that were so flat wrong and added and exasperated to the issues. When the leader of the free world spends as much time blaming other countries and trying to blame Obama and then stand on a stage like an utter simpleton and says he doesn't know anything about his administration shutting down the US Pandemic Response Team .... you know we are in trouble. And somehow you and others want to try and suggest holding Trump accountable is a bad thing. pfft. It's just a term. Call it anything you want. Preventing widespread panic is a real thing. I am sorry you don't see it as such. Your opinion to me holds as much water as me saying you, the lib left released the virus to gain control of the White House....on the other hand, maybe you did???!!!! You do support killing babies, so we know your moral compass if off. If killing babies is OK, why not older people? All they do is collect the social security they were the first generation to pay in to for their whole life. Us baby boomers are going to milk you dry when you try to threaten us. Way more of us then you, at least for another 20 years, so pay up for the flawed socialist system set up by FDR. It's not my fault. I don't like it for you, but since your politics put it in place, you can carry my ass. LOL. You got to remember, we are a bunch of hippies, we protested. We know how to do it. We can bring this country to a stop if we decide. Fear Grey hair, and don't try to mess with our money. We will crush you. Why do you think we have Donald, an old man, and senile Joe as our next two candidates? It isn't about the young vote. It is about the senior vote, and will be for the next 20 years. Chew on that.

Except what Trump said and did and how he has blamed everyone else for this .... FACT "Opinion" on a conspiracy theory over how/why/where the virus came from ...... just that, wild unknown speculation. Which one of those discussions warrants review?

This is proof at just how unstable society is. We get up and go on with our day to day lives and don't think of these things that could possibly collapse society, but now here we are potentially witnessing it in real time.

I saw on the news somebody bought a 12 year supply of toilet paper. That is so greedy, selfish and inconsiderate of anybody else, but themselves. With selfish behavior like that the government may need to think about rationing. Especially when it comes to pure essentials like food. It's happened before in times of short supply and dire need and it might need to be addressed.

You wonder if they'll be rejected, I wonder if they would even be semi close to accurate. Beggars can't be choosers. The tests have proven to be accurate in other countries. Maybe, but there is the possibility the tests are any more accurate. There are cases of people being reinfected after recovery. So either the virus is worse than we thought, or the tests read which virus they had incorrectly. If the symptoms are no different than the flu, then do we really know that the tests are identifying the correct version of the flu?
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

Worthy perspective from the front line:
March 8 at 4:23 AM · By Dr. Sharkawy On COVID-19:
“I'm a doctor and an Infectious Diseases Specialist. I've been at this for more than 20 years seeing sick patients on a daily basis. I have worked in inner city hospitals and in the poorest slums of Africa. HIV-AIDS, Hepatitis,TB, SARS, Measles, Shingles, Whooping cough, Diphtheria...there is little I haven't been exposed to in my profession. And with notable exception of SARS, very little has left me feeling vulnerable, overwhelmed or downright scared.
I am not scared of Covid-19. I am concerned about the implications of a novel infectious agent that has spread the world over and continues to find new footholds in different soil. I am rightly concerned for the welfare of those who are elderly, in frail health or disenfranchised who stand to suffer mostly, and disproportionately, at the hands of this new scourge. But I am not scared of Covid-19.
What I am scared about is the loss of reason and wave of fear that has induced the masses of society into a spellbinding spiral of panic, stockpiling obscene quantities of anything that could fill a bomb shelter adequately in a post-apocalyptic world. I am scared of the N95 masks that are stolen from hospitals and urgent care clinics where they are actually needed for front line healthcare providers and instead are being donned in airports, malls, and coffee lounges, perpetuating even more fear and suspicion of others. I am scared that our hospitals will be overwhelmed with anyone who thinks they " probably don't have it but may as well get checked out no matter what because you just never know..." and those with heart failure, emphysema, pneumonia and strokes will pay the price for overfilled ER waiting rooms with only so many doctors and nurses to assess.
I am scared that travel restrictions will become so far reaching that weddings will be canceled, graduations missed and family reunions will not materialize. And well, even that big party called the Olympic Games...that could be kyboshed too. Can you even imagine?
I'm scared those same epidemic fears will limit trade, harm partnerships in multiple sectors, business and otherwise and ultimately culminate in a global recession.
But mostly, I'm scared about what message we are telling our kids when faced with a threat. Instead of reason, rationality, openmindedness and altruism, we are telling them to panic, be fearful, suspicious, reactionary and self-interested.
Covid-19 is nowhere near over. It will be coming to a city, a hospital, a friend, even a family member near you at some point. Expect it. Stop waiting to be surprised further. The fact is the virus itself will not likely do much harm when it arrives. But our own behaviors and "fight for yourself above all else" attitude could prove disastrous.
I implore you all. Temper fear with reason, panic with patience and uncertainty with education. We have an opportunity to learn a great deal about health hygiene and limiting the spread of innumerable transmissible diseases in our society. Let's meet this challenge together in the best spirit of compassion for others, patience, and above all, an unfailing effort to seek truth, facts and knowledge as opposed to conjecture, speculation and catastrophizing.
Facts not fear. Clean hands. Open hearts. Our children will thank us for it.

We aren't testing because the imbeciles at the CDC can't even get the test right... Just stop it. The WHO offered the test the rest of the planet was using and worked fine. They were turned down. Alternative facts aren't going to change that. And after that he did nothing but contradict the CDC and sound like an idiot. You need to admit that what America needs is a strong leader in a time of crisis. Not one who says stupid crap all the time.

You are sounding like you need the government to take care of you. To take care of us? No. Expect our president to listen to the experts around him and be honest with us? Yes. Just saying....as for Lawrence or whatever his name is, I have a big ole American boot that would like to kick his ass. And Sean Hannity? Because he is no better. Too many wish bones and not enough back bones in this country. Not to sound sexist, but a womans back bone is different from a mans. And you sound like one right about now. Women set moral direction. Men get that direction done, and that usually requires a fight.
Women talk, Men fight. Stuck in the 50's much? I guess we shouldn't expect the "man" who runs this country to be honest. I mean he is a man, right?

The MAGA losers on FB are losing their minds. Saying this was just another situation to try and take down trump.
Apparently Italy is in on it and everything, and all of Europe.
This is why you simply cannot have serious conversations with people who believe in conspiracy theories at this magnitude.
My patience level with these Alex Jones type losers is at zero.

It must have been terrible for Trump to have to call a national emergency over a Democratic hoax.

Well so much for social distancing. I’m currently sitting in an urgent care, a ground zero type of place, waiting to get stitches in my finger. Was in the shop working on our new robot build and got sloppy with a 7” grinder. They hold no mercy. Caught my finger with the business end and took a chunk out of it. Cut through my leather glove like it wasn’t there. So now I wait for the doctor to come in and stitch me up. Then hopefully head back to the shop with a numbed up finger. I was in the middle of fabrication something. I really want to finish it.

Men under maybe 35-40 in this country are raised as limp punks.

Shall we start calling you stubby? Perhaps. A few years ago my cousin that lived in Nashville at the time, and yes, he played guitar in a band that played many of the bars in Nashville - in the Cory Farley Band - had a dirt bike incident. He wrecked, and somehow, his hand got caught between the chain and the sprocket. He lost half of 1 finger, and parts of 2 other fingers. After some time, he still plays guitar, although not in Nashville anymore. [video:youtube] https://time.com/4495435/early-voting-states/[/video] He's in there, playing guitar. So, even if Port is missing a finger, he can do what he does.

Shall we start calling you stubby? Nope it’s all there... except a decent chunk out of the side of my left muddle finger. They couldn’t stitch it as there was too much tissue gone to approximate the edges. They stuck a clotting agent dressing on it after numbing me up and cleaning it. The first dressing failed. As soon as the doc removed the tourniquet it gushed blood. Had to try again. Hopefully this one holds back the floodgates. So now I’m stuck not being able to wash my hand for a few days. Fun. Perfect timing.

Federal Reserve slashes rates to zero, restarts QE https://finance.yahoo.com/news/federal-r...-210001968.htmlI sure hope a recession isn’t around the corner, because if it is, we have almost no way to lessen the impact. This. Is. Bad.

I recently picked up an SDS Imports Lynx-12. It accepts all the standard Saiga magazines, drums, and furniture.
12-gauge with a 25-round drum.... or just a stack of 8- or 10-round magazines. Not a bad thing to have around.
A pretty solid deal at only $499.
