this has been the trend ... evening hours roll around and things become engulfed in flames, followed by chaos

I wonder how much of this is due to stress from quarantine. Everyone was on edge before this happened. It's like throwing a match on tinder with a reason now to go up in flames.

As I look at these scenes from all over America, I can't help thinking that there are probably some very fine people in those crowds....

I was outraged by the murder. I empathized w/minorities because of the broken system. However, it's a two-way street.

Spit in my eye when I am trying to help and I will slap you silly. You ask for help and then when it's offered, you resort to the same ignorant, hateful stance as those you despise? Okay.............fight alone.

I love the protest, I hate the looting and burning.

Love the murder charge being laid, hate that I must wait for the other three piggies to get charged (sorry Dave, & Clem and other police officers and their people, but it applies).

Vast majority of cops are good people; I respect the profession so much that those who dishonour the badge/gun responsibility should be held to a greater standard.

I still refuse to watch the video, but have seen still photos of that man with a twisted mind keeping his knee on his neck, and read many accounts on this.


This has made the spring of 2020 worse than it already had been; and I’m tucked away, far from all the turmoil. So it shouldn’t really affect me, but it has.

I doubt it. We are in Columbia, SC. Right before I signed in, my daughter sent us a text to not go downtown tonight because of the protests. She knew we wouldn't be going downtown anyway, but she was scared. Her and her fiance went to get something to eat and were chased by an angry mob. I'm guessing it's because they are white. Bring your revenge, Swish! I'll have something for your ass!

Where is the national guard?

I was listening to Minny scanner last night and watching same thing on tv. The curfew started and about 15 minutes before all these guard units came and got in formation. There were lots of police. Within 20 minutes, somebody on the scanner said, get in a car, get in any car and head north and get the f out of here. And that area belonged to the protesters the rest of the night. They left.

There is going to be guard/military in 30 cities

There were big problems today in places like Fargo, Salt Lake City and Harrisburg

The protestors were pretty chill and peaceful in Atl today. We have a 9pm curfew and heavy police presence. The crowd mostly dispersed.

They left? If that's true then the person who gave that order should be held criminally liable.
