I dunno. I always thought they had some amount of talent on those rosters. They always seemed to have a QB that was at least mediocre until Smith went down (I think they also had QB injury issues another season or two, as well, but anybody's season will go in the tank when they lose their QB).

My brother-in-law is a 'Skin fan. The way he describes it, that team is far more similar to the Browns (in terms of 'Browns'ing' things up) than any team should be. It's always something with them.

He’ll do well in a limited role like that IMO. He’s a good players coach/position coach

This is a pretty big deal. I’d guess teams try to get creative with titles to prevent other teams from going after their coaches.

It is a big deal, but it's overdue and makes a lot of sense. This rule didn't treat coordinator positions as different from position coaches, and I think that's pretty silly. As a position coach, interviewing for a coordinator position is interviewing for a promotion.

Some of us wanted Mike McCarthy. Others, who are smarter and more handsome, did not.

Hey! I’m ugly and Ok with it (but yeah, McCarthy wasn’t a choice for me)

I didn't want McCarthy. I was hoping for McDaniels. However, I have been impressed w/the job Stefanski is doing.

Somewhat aside, while I don't think McCarthy is a great coach, who are these Dallas players to call him out? Maybe they should be looking in the mirror?

Maybe after having coaching genius Jason Garrett for so many years they are just not used to below average coaching.

I wanted Mccarthy.

Although I almost did an about face after they did that piece on him where he talked about how much football had taken him away from his family...then had him almost breaking down in tears saying how much his family needed football...as if they didn't want him around.

That was interesting.

This is pure speculation, but I wouldn't doubt Zeke being one of them.

I didn't want McCarthy either. He was buoyed for a while by Rodgers and I felt like he could never get a good run game going.

I wanted McCarthy at the top of my list. Rhule was #2 and Stefanski might have been #3.... I am very happy at this point in time with Stefanski. Hope it's a trend that continues!

Throwing your new coaching staff under the bus before the mid-point of the first season? Had to double-check they weren't talking about the Browns.

I wanted nothing to do with McCarthy, and was told I had no desire to win if I didn't want a Super Bowl winning coach like him ....... crazy

I wanted Rivera, then McDaniels, then Stephanski.

I am happy with what I have seen from Stephanski.

I agree. He’s been very good IMO. We are much more disciplined, there’s not as much drama, we have better clock management, etc.

You can tell he doesn’t know our division well yet, though. He was WAY more prepared to face Dallas (a team he’s seen much more)

That's an interesting theory. Not trying to argue, but I'll wait for Balt and Pitt 2nd rounds before I form an opinion on him in-division.
