So in summary after reading all the posts in this thread, it's going to be 4 more years of each side bickering back and forth on this forum?

So nothing's changed other than the figurehead in the oval office.

I'm sure it won't be an end to bickering -- but if you don't think there is something substantively different between Biden and Trump as president....

I mean we could finally agree that facts are more important than opinions. We could also actually define what a fact is.

However, barely any of that would actually be agreed to.

I don't think our problems have anything to do with who is President, I think our real problems as a nation start with Congress. It should not be a lifelong career.

I don't agree at all - legislating is hard and super important -- and people who are good at it should continue doing it.

We should, however, do more to prevent politicians from financially benefiting from the industries that they oversee.

That is factual.

As well as Trump being ridiculed non stop.

And Biden won, and guess what the left is still doing? Ripping on Trump and anyone that voted for him. They aren't celebrating the victory (most, anyway) as much as they are celebrating the loss.

Oh well.

If you can't even work hard enough to spell her name correctly, you should automatically forfeit the right to use her name at all... in your lame-ass talking point.

Damn.

I remember when the media broke the story to a one-night stand that Sarah Palin ALLEGEDLY had in 1987 when she was a single woman. Victor Von Doom created a thread. You and every liberal on the original board piled on for days making lewd comments about her ALLEGED affair.

Hypocrisy at its finest.

AOC facing heat for wanting to archive online posts by ‘Trump sycophants’

AOC slams Dems for missing the mark with Latino voters

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is facing heat for urging her supporters to create an archive of online postings by “Trump sycophants” who may later regret their affiliation with the president.

“Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future?” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Friday.

“I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future,” the lawmaker wrote.

Commenters quickly decided the list-making endeavor was something a ruthless Communist dictator would love.

“Joseph is proud of you!” one user wrote, referring to notorious Soviet Union dictator Joseph Stalin.

Another person posted a photo of Mao Zedong with the caption: “Big shoes to fill but you’ll get there.”

Ocasio-Cortez received a since-deleted response from an ex-staffer of former President Barack Obama, Michael Simon, who shared a link to a site called The Trump Accountability Project.

The site says it aims to embarrass and hold accountable people complicit in the worst behaviors of Trump’s presidency, including his campaign staff, White House staff, donors and even lawyers.

“The world should never forget those who, when faced with a decision, chose to put their money, their time, and their reputations behind separating children from their families, encouraging racism and anti-Semitism, and negligently causing the unnecessary loss of life and economic devastation from our country’s failed response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the site reads.

The site’s list of Trump loyalists has not been made public — and besides names, it’s unclear what type of information would be provided.

Biden plans to issue orders reversing Trump policies immediately upon taking office: report

President-elect Joe Biden plans to issue executive orders reversing a number of President Trump’s policies as soon as he takes office, The Washington Post reported Saturday.

The report comes hours after Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 presidential election.

People close to Biden’s plans told the Post that he plans to rejoin the Paris climate accords, which the U.S. officially left on Wednesday. He’s also reportedly planning to reverse the U.S.’s withdrawal from the World Health Organization, which is slated to take effect July 6, 2021.

Biden also wants to immediately repeal the ban on immigration that targeted many Muslim-majority countries and reinstate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, according to the Post.

During his campaign, Biden pledged to take action on all of these issues on his first day in office.

Even though he was declared the winner on Saturday, Biden has already started transition planning. The New York Times reported Friday that he is planning to announce his choices for Cabinet positions around Thanksgiving should he win the election.

During an address later that day in Wilmington, Del., the President-elect signaled that his team was considering next steps.

“While we’re waiting for the final results, I want people to know we are not waiting to get the work done,” Biden said while appearing with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, at a convention center near his home.

A source told The Hill that transition planning is being led by Ted Kaufman, his longtime ally and former chief of staff.

Meanwhile, Biden said on Saturday night that he would announce his COVID-19 task force next week.

"Our work begins with getting COVID under control," Biden said during a prime-time speech.

"On Monday, I will name a group of leading scientists and experts as transition advisers to help take the Biden-Harris COVID plan and convert it into an action blueprint that will start on Jan. 20," he added.

Axios reported earlier in the day that the 12-member group will be co-led by former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner David Kessler and Yale University professor Marcella Nunez-Smith.

Multiple news outlets declared Biden the winner shortly after 11:30 a.m. Eastern on Saturday after he was projected to win the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, giving him the 270 Electoral Votes needed to secure the presidency.

Trump has not accepted defeat, and has promised legal challenges ahead to contest the election results.

The world chimes in...

Fireworks in London, church bells in Paris as Biden win celebrated abroad

In countries across the globe, people reported fireworks, cheering and the sound of church bells ringing after President-elect Joe Biden was named the winner of the 2020 presidential election.

Locals in the United Kingdom, where many had leftover fireworks from Guy Fawkes Night this week, reported fireworks going off in London. There were videos of church bells ringing in Paris and fireworks in Edinburgh, Scotland, and reports of celebrations in Germany.

NBC, CNN, ABC and The Associated Press all called the race for Biden shortly before 11:30 a.m. EST Saturday.

Though cities are celebrating, President Trump has not accepted the race call.
Trump issued a statement minutes after numerous news outlets declared Biden the winner of the presidential race claiming that networks were helping the former vice president “falsely” pose as the winner and promising to fight the results in court.
