This is just the guy I would want if I had a bunch of picks.

There are two names on that tweet that I never want to see near the Browns again.

Ray Farmer?!

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Poor Urban Meyer doesn't understand what he's doing to himself.

Side note: per Wiki, Ray Farmer wasn't ever picked up after his exit from the Browns. He's been (for the purposes of this convo, at least) unemployed since 2015.

His Twitter profile mentions 'ESPN Insider'.

context to my post: Freddie Kitchens was able to find an NFL job after he was fired.

I would imagine that Meyers deal comes with Bellicheck type control.

Sure he does. He's going to make a pile of cash and walk away after a couple years when the rebuild becomes too tall a task.

I saw a report on here that Meyer is still in negotiations. I would hope a big part of those negotiations is having considerable control over the draft, like all.

Per ESPN's giant front page headline, it's now official.

Agreed. If he doesn't have absolute final say over all personnel decisions, he's hosed. Let Farmer run the business side of things, but if he is making personnel decisions, Meyer is going to fail hard.

Heck, he is probably going to fail hard, anyway, but there no sense it making it more difficult than it needs to be.

Urban Myer should have went to the Chargers. He would have had an upcoming stud QB in Herbert with other good players to work with.

So instead he gets Trevor Lawrence? Come on man.

Isn’t Jax likely to draft Trevor Lawrence?

It's never been about his health. He left Florida because he was losing out on recruits to Alabama. He went to OSU where there is no real competition for in state recruits.

he left Florida because his wife got tired of Ohio weather.

He is now in Jacksonville because his wife said it is Florida or bust.

I wish him well. I didn't like the way he left the Gators, but I like the guy. He should provide a solid boost for the fan base. Gainesville is only about 70 miles from Jacksonville. Easy 1 hour and a few drive.

And he left OSU because he was pushed out due to the assistant coach assault coverup scandal thing.

Congrats to Saleh. His players all seem to love him.

I do have a friend who's a 9ers fan, and he told me everyone loved him in '19, but hated him before in '18.

It's not about scheme, though. It's about his ability to lead. Will be interesting to see.

I thought a year ago - and at the time would not have been opposed to it - that we might hire him.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I heard they hired him.

Probably just a rumor. He has interviewed for a couple positions.

I don't know, I don't think Hue was a bad coordinator in Cincy, and don't think he would be bad in Pittsburg.

He just isn't the leader of men he thought he was.

I agree, but there's also the 'fired-up-Baker' aspect to seeing Hue at least twice a year.
