I'll never forget his final game for the Browns, when he was sacked 6 times, and completed 4 passes for a whopping 10 yards, before he was shipped out of town. There was some Frye fan on this board who swore that the Seahawks were gonna fix him up and we would regret letting him go. rofl crazy

Chuck can read them just fine on the chalkboard...do they even use those anymore?

Most coaches ended up not being very good pro players, but they know the game. Probably true in most sports.
I have always thought the guys who had to learn how make better coaches than those to whom it came naturally. Having to learn it makes you more able to teach it. The guys for whom it came naturally often can't translate that for others.

"Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach." A bit of hyperbole, but we all know there's a lot of truth in it.

I just checked their coaching staff, and oddly realized their defensive coordinator was in my class at St. Ignatius, Jon Gannon. He was a hell of a player at just about every sport. Last I heard, he had a bad injury when we were in college, and it ruined his career. Didn't know he went into the coaching circuit. It'll be interesting to see how the Eagles do this year.

It makes me wonder:

Which is a better way to decide NFL matters:

- Rock Paper Scissors
- Coin Flip

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Money on Vic Fangio with some hedging of the bet on Mike Zimmer.

Broncos have an easier start to their schedule.

Both lists do not like McCarthy and for good reason.

Dan Campbell might be one and done. And at 33/1? thumbsup

Jumped the gun on the robot. Robot should have taken him.

That robot might have done better starting at tackle than some of our guys we started. At least it moved. LOLetc.

I don’t think Jerry Jones’ ego allows him to fire McCarthy after two seasons.

Agree that Campbell could be a one and done. I think it would be done after the season though.

I like Fangio and Zimmmer as mid-season firings.

I think Hue can do well in college. If he throws a guy under the bus the guy will be gone in a few years and it won’t matter.
