My buddy flew up from Ft. Myers to go to this game with me, lol. Maybe he can stick around a few extra days.

I’m not really sure how this helps anything unless we can get some guys back based on the new protocols. It seems more like a PR move. Either way our guys will get a few days more of prep which can’t be bad at this point.

Add Clowney to the Covid list. Per bleacher report And, being 2 pm here in Ohio, my guess is they'll add a few more prior to any game time.

Or an opportunity for even more players to test positive and get ruled out. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/geZn1ir.png)

They will not want to move us off the Christmas game. Best chance IMO: play Monday night around 5:00 and then Saturday as scheduled.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Why not use this as an excuse to move us off Christmas and put someone else in? Are they still expecting Browns-Packers to be a good game?
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

And the Rams would still have more. So we are in 2nd place? Or is it a Wildcard spot? I'm not familiar with the competition.

Go figure. Some fans want to see their teams given a victory and not have to earn it. Pretty much what I would expect from a lot of Raider fans.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

What a microcosm for what is wrong with the world. That's the part that sucks about Sunday football where I meet my buddies to watch, even though we have different teams we each back, it's still about a team, the rest of the place is mostly college guys coming in late, hung over, for the $10 bottomless Mimosas, and all they care about is their FF stats. Good thing we are friends with the owner, so we always get primo TV selections for our games, and none of the staff will change a TV without asking us first. Note: the mimosas are the cheapest champagne and generic OJ they can find, the acid must be rotting out their guts.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

So we were going to forfeit and the league/union stepped in?
Sounds like the league hates the Browns.

Telling teams with outbreaks to only test players who are reporting symptoms? When the union (and some of our players) called them out on it, they had two chioces; ond one said they don't give a damn about the safety of their players.

Moving the game to Monday...brings up the question, just how many players do the Browns expect to get back by Monday..?
The Browns could have more players on the COVID list Monday than they have now...THEN WHAT...?

It seems like the owners knew that some games would be cancelled. That means refunding people ticket money and no game day sales. The union knew games would be forfeited and didn’t want six teams of players to lose their game checks. A perfect confluence of events to postpone the games.

The Browns could have more players on the COVID list Monday than they have now...THEN WHAT...? Or even worse (for the league)... Eagles, Seahawks, Raiders (opponents of Covid teams) have their own outbreaks over the weekend. Then what?? lol

The Browns could have more players on the COVID list Monday than they have now...THEN WHAT...? Well, at that point there would be no choice but to call a forfeit...and I can't say I disagree. That was explained as a option before the season started.

At least I can get my Christmas shopping done tomorrow. Problem is that on Monday, I’ll have to record the game and go off-grid for several hours. Work schedule thing.
Thanks NFL, for doing the right thing, even if decency was thrust upon you by circumstance.
I would love to know about conversations between our FO and Roger.

That the NFL had to be pretty much forced into a corner on this to make a decision to reschedule games is telling.
It's all about the money for them... I don't think there was any other decision that could be made other than allowing without symptoms to play and I doesn't seem like a good choice either.

It is a disaster when there are draconian measures in place for a positive test. Paid leave from work will come to an end ( for those that chose to go back to work). Expanded UE wont continue. Housing assistance cant continue. The "zero sum" game of covid deaths is not sustainable....what is the magic number per year? Are you good with 100,000 a year? 50,000? 25,000? Anything more than 1 means you are a heartless monster.
People need to resesrch cornavirus vaccine research....not just covid....they have chased that holy grail for decades upon decades only to fail everytime in staying ahead of the monthly mutations...somehow it is supposedly diferent this time around.

Why didn't the NFL learn after last season? They should have built in an extra week into the schedule for make up games.

Why didn't the NFL learn after last season? They should have built in an extra week into the schedule for make up games. If it becomes a necessity, they can just create an extra regular season week at the end of the season by eliminating the two week period between Conference Championship weekend and SB Sunday. I'd guess that's a last resort scenario, though.

The NFL should just hire you, Eve. Makes sense to me. I think you would make a fine commissioner. Seems like you might be overly qualified.

Why not just cancel week 17 and play 16 games like we did for the past 44 frickin' years.
