I've never seen someone rush out to defend anybody who says anything that could be used against Baker the way you do... the media, other coaches, other players, some podcast guy... they don't even have to be talking about Baker for you to make it about Baker... If anybody says anything critical of Stefanski, you make it about Baker. If anybody says anything critical of Berry, you make it about Baker. If anybody says anything positive about Baker, you make it negative about Baker. If anybody posts a positive stat about Baker, you find a negative stat about Baker. If anybody says anything (good or bad) about another QB in the NFL, you make it about Baker. If anybody says anything critical of our WRs, TEs, or OL, you make it about Baker.... then, periodically, you post that you hope he succeeds. catfight

While in other posts you blast people for having an agenda and only looking for information that supports their own argument.

I notice you seem to ignore those that take everything wrong with Baker and blame it on Stefanski. Things that make you go hmmmmm....

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Being the flip side of a bad coin isn't a good defense.

Also, pointing out things beyond "Baker = bad" isn't a defense of Baker.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Speaking for myself, I've just mostly spent three years trying to figure out why.

Why, If OBJ is such a great WR, has he never finished higher that 127th in the league in converting targets into catches? Care to explain that? Baker's fault? Eli's fault? Or do the coaches just not know how to use him?

I'll go back to what I said from the beginning. OBJ is not and will never again be worthy of the #1 WR tag, he requires waaay too many targets to put up the numbers. That's why he didn't work out here.

You do realize that long passes have a lower completion rate than short passes, right?

Try comparing his catch rate to WR's whose average reception are over 13.5 yards per reception.

Are you saying that in his first 8 games with the Rams that 27 catches on 48 targets is 127th or below?

One thing I'll give you, with all of the injuries he's sustained over the course of his career so far he will most likely not be the same WR he was when he was catching for 1300+ and 1400+ yards per season.

And BTW- nowhere have I claimed OBJ at this point in his career is a "great WR". He's better than anything we had and we're not "better" without him. Film of our last nine games proves that. Film of his last nine games proves that too.

I had to work on Sunday, so I just watched Sunday's games today. Great football! The Bills/KC game was fantastic. That game may very well end up being even better than the Super Bowl, but we shall see about that.

I always thought that a receiver should break his route and come back to the QB when he was in trouble. I never see ours do that, except Higgins sometimes. As for OBJ, when he ran a different route, it was never looking back at the QB. That being said, I really think Baker just doesn't, or can't see receivers down field. I truly believe he expects them to be in a certain place. The receiver fighting to get open is a good thing, a QB who can't adjust to a different route is a shortcoming.

Can we all agree that these "great" games were made possible by horible defenses and atrocious decisions by head coaches....dont kick the ball out of the end zone bills and you win.

Could not agree more.

Kicking in the field of play takes the ball out of Mahomes hands for one of the two plays he had left. 90% of the time the possession starts inside the 25, hell, 50% of the time it ends up being inside the 15 because of the inevitable illegal block penalty. Dumbest thing I've seen in a while, I was stunned.

Anyone want to talk about the KC receiver who stepped out of bounds before his catch and they still gave it to him. Official was standing right there by the sideline and saw it and no call. That would have changed the game. It was an obvious no catch.

Twice this year, Rodgers made us think he had a shot.

It was at 1:54 in the 4th Quarter. Maybe not a game changer, it was on a first down play. But yes a bad no call they show a replay at 1:39

I just watched the replay of the Bills/Chiefs last night. WOW what a game. The last 5 minutes and overtime was incredible

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

What we would give as Browns fans to be in a playoff game like that and actually win. We haven't since the Jets playoff game in January 1987.

And what if we played in a game like that and lost? Would we want to fire the coaches and get rid of the entire D and QB?

The thought always makes me feel a little better since I was there in '87. It's a pleasant two seconds before the sadness kicks in again.

That is so a fan mentality to. Ignoring that he put them in the lead 2x within the last 2 mins, yet the defense failed to stop KC either time AND in OT.
