It amazes me sometimes the low IQ on responses on the board. Yet you keep posting these low IQ posts about the cap. Let me ask you. How do you think this all works? You don't believe teams restructure contracts to create cap space? And let's visit one of your points. You claim that we will need ten million in cap space going into the draft to sign drafted rookies. Currently there are six teams that actually have a negative cap number. Are you saying those teams can not sign their draft picks? The Saints are currently trying to trade for Watson who has a huge $$$$ contract. They are over 6 million ABOVE the cap. So how can they do that? Yes, some of these low IQ posts are ridiculous.

Because you obviously don't know the rules. The team has to be below the cap at the start of the league season which is the 16th. After the league start, teams must remain below the cap at all times per NFL rules. There's no grey area here, there are also fines of up to 5M for each occurrence and the possible loss of draft picks. Trading for Watson or any player for that fact is a mote point until the start of the league at which time they have to be under the cap. I'm obviously not the one with the low IQ and you 1) failed to check the other post where I laid out the rules and 2) Are not knowledgeable of the cap rules. How a team gets to that number is another thing in itself but no matter how they move the money - being below the cap is a start of the league year requirement.

So you're saying every NFL team will be around 10 million under the cap so they can sign their draft picks by draft day? So you've had your hair on fire because you're worried about our cap space while sitting here claiming there are ways to clear cap space. Well alrighty then.

Oh, by the way - these are the exact kind of posts that I was talking about. You add nothing to the conversation except to boast your knowledge over another and attack someone with a different opinion than yours for your own self-satisfaction - even if you are wrong.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the least self aware of them all?
On the topic of Jarvis. I am curious to see how we replace him in the slot. It'll also be interesting to see who picks up the leadership slack in that room.

My guess is that we'll see Cooper in the slot some (he took 144 snaps out of the slot for the Cowboys last year) and Njoku in the slot even more.

If that's the case, then we're DEFINITELY going to need at least 1 more legit FA WR, and then draft one reasonably high.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

He could still re-sign with us ...

So in other words you have no answer to the question I asked. Thanks for your low IQ response.

He could still re-sign with us ... And I could be replacing Baker as QB now that Watson is most likely out of the equation.

When these guys leave after being cut, they rarely ever come back. Why go back to the team that just let you go, either on their own accord or you requested it because they wanted to give you less money? In their minds, there are 31 other teams that can help you make your former employer regret that decision.

personally, this FO is starting to annoy me.
I'm pretty sure we could have traded Landry for a 6th or 7th. Same was true of OBJ I doubt it or it would have happened. He was being paid way too much money at this point. I am glad he was a brown, but all things come to an end.

We may have been just doing Landry a favor by leaving him more options than a trade would have. Someone else mentioned the FO cred this puts in the mind of other vets around the league.

What about Felton in the slot to replace Jarvis? Ham....i like that idea. very interesting. keeps him on the field without splitting carries with our 3 headed rushing attack.

Similar in size and open field elusiveness as well. I thought he was a natural fit there, and was the backup plan.

I am going to miss Jarvis. The last couple of years he's been my favorite player. He busted his ass. He kept his mouth shut. He was a real LEADER on this team on and off the field. He will be missed. Now we have a hole to fill again. We have Cooper but no REAL threat to play opposite.

I think DPJ is going to have a really good year playing opposite Amari Cooper. What we need is somebody to fill in the slot.

With the Browns being a run first team it's hard to justify having a WR that can't get seperation anymore. I think the Browns need to sign big physical WRs that can run block and be good possesion WR who can catch in traffic. Basically put four TE out there and run teams over lol
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.

A run heavy offense that has chewed up and spit out every legit WR and now has no QB... Please name any FA eager to come to this franchise?
