Cole Beasley available now.

I would consider signing him - good veteran slot receiver.

He is a great slot WR. Now if we could only tell him who will be throwing him the ball. Only a short time ago obviously a WR like Amari cooper could be had. Now? Those in charge just upped the difficulty factor x100.

See, this is the problem with twitter, and "instant news". Way too often it's wrong.

I get it, everyone wants to be first with "news". It should be called speculation. jmo.

Much of that depends on how reputable the person that is tweeting is.

Or he went to sign the deal with the Raven now that FA is officially and he failed the team physical or the team saw something medically they did not like? He had back surgery back in October.

Strange place for Robinson to end up

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

In all honesty...I really hope we pursue Fletcher Cox (whom was just released) he is exactly what we need inside at DT...he will coat some coin though, despite his age....I also wouldn't mind Logan Ryan as a safety option (especially in Woods 3 safety set) he is very smart, and more than capable and can slide in at corner to help too. And he won't command a lot.

Not familiar with Logan Ryan but I think at safety what we could use is a true ballhawk center fielder.
My opinioin is that all our safeties are better as strong safeties

Did he really think his $50M per year wouldn't affect the Packers ability to pay other players?

Maybe Aaron will demand a trade now? Baker for Rodgers?

If the Packers traded Rodgers they would have $125 million in dead cap. For real.

Well at least we’re not the only team receiving devastating news. Z

Purple's a pain to do on a cellphone.

Maybe he retires instead, or more likely he takes his money and just doesn't try very hard.

I realized that you probably weren’t serious. I just wanted to post the cap number because it’s hilarious.

Strange or not? Doesn't seem to be any top WR's considering Cleveland as a landing spot. With every passing day it sure seems to be pointing at the Stefanski scheme as the reason no one wants to come here. When the dust clears - IMHO - we'll start hearing the reasons people are shying away from Cleveland and it's not because of Baker. I'll believe Diggs, the OBJ in May, and Hooper before I listen to the Baker Haters. It's a trend and it's becoming more evident by the day.

Why would they, right now we don't have any idea who our QB will be. tongue

Was this honestly a surprise? Dude blew out his achilles exactly 2 months ago and had surgery in the meantime. Was he supposed to pass a physical already?

This must be the plan everyone keeps talking about that our FO has for our QB.

I really want Crowder, as I think he'll sign cheaper 1/5mill deal. He's one of the better slot guys in the league, and you watch his tape he kind of reminds you of the way we used Jarvis...just with a lot more speed (as I remember him running a 4.39 coming out of Duke) obviously playing for the Jets your stats don't always add up. But I think he fits perfect on here, and is around 28 years old...so still young enough.

I think we should just slide Cooper into the slot most of the time when we go 3 WRs. He's been effective in the snaps he's gotten there, and giving a route runner of his caliber that much room to operate is tough on defenders unable to use the sideline for help. link

We also have Felton, Njoku, and Bryant (and potentially Jakeem Grant now) to share slot reps. I think we could use more of a contested catch/jumpball receiver or even a Will Fuller speed merchant-type depending on Schwartz progress.

I wouldn't be upset if we went Skyy Moore in the draft, though. He's got nice inside-outside versatility.

I wouldn't hate Crowder if the money is right, either.
