the cap is a myth.

These past couple days must have Lamar Jackson smiling ear to ear.

Why? He'll never win the division again? I don't see how he would view that as a good thing.

EDIT: the payday, went right over my head, duh.

Between the Rogers deal, the watson deal, and now the stafford deal, Lmar is about to become an extremely rich man.

I think most FOs are going to be upset with ours at setting the precedent of having everything guaranteed

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

The payday will change the landscape.

Not the annual amount by guaranteed money.

That has been a leverage point for owners. This will be a future issue.

Haslam is not going to be popular with the other owners.

Just me thinking out loud. Goodell works for the owners. You can bet that the teams who submitted bids spoke to Goodell.

It will never come out. But they know what if any suspension is coming. If the civil cases are all settled out of court.

Motivation has to be in question. If any cases go to court and Watson wins his case. I do not see how the NFL can suspend him?

I have heard people say six games. That is based upon Ben's case. That is different.

I have not seen a time frame for civil cases. The NFL may wait till that part ends before any ruling.

Both Clowney and Jarvis are in play.

They restructured Cooper's deal.

Woods is someone I wanted here, even though he was injured

So the Rams signed a SB winning QB for far less than we paid a wannabe SB winning QB.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Stafford is also 8 years older and currently on their roster... we were competing to get him here, and thus had to over pay

Far much more than any other team in the NFL. But then when you back yourself into a corner in such a way that will happen.

"I won't be coming to Cleveland."

Mayfield says he demands a trade.....

"But we'll make you the highest paid player in the league and guarantee every dime of it!"

"Well hell yeah! Write those checks!"

Good signing for them if he can stay healthy.

If the above is true, it's down to Seattle, Saints, and Panthers?

Then there is Jimmy G who has yet to land anywhere.

My guess is Winston goes to back to the Saints.

No wonder they might want someone like Mariota compared to Baker......it would be another $18M assigned to the QB position.

Baker might be left at the alter.

Falcons most likely out (Mariota and draft pick), Panthers most likely out (draft pick), Seahawks maybe - lucky to move him for a 6th rounder or nothing just to rid him of the contract.

People on here thinking we would get a 1st for him - ok.

Mariota possibly to the Falcons
Winston to the Saints
Wentz to the Commanders
Ryan to Indy.

I'm thinking the league doesn't think all that much of Baker.

If they can't get an offer, they'll have to cut him and be stuck with 18 mil cap hit. He will sit on his couch before they do that.

Sorry kids no QB needy team was about to rush in and acquire
Mayfield. He is a 3rd tier QB whos weaknesses were disguised
Well by KS. ....until the league caught on.

Mayfields career arc might resemble McCoys now.
He will be a backup in the league. Good enough to win you
A couple games until the starter heals up.

Maybe the Giants will kick the tires on.him since Jones is a bust
