So now we’re down to Atlanta and Seattle as the two options, and maybe Detroit

Baker’s stock is completely gone

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

"Baker’s stock is completely gone"

Baker has led the league in INTs. He is coming off shoulder surgery. And was only good in spurts while he was here. Browns fans grade him high, while most people think is is just okay. 18 million for a back up is a lot of money.

That is certainly a very popular narrative - especially in MSM and the comments section. As for Browns fans - I'd say Baker is viewed as a bust by more fans than who support him.

I think his value has been trashed by the Browns FO by the way they handled this AND by the way Baker responded.

I think Baker's ceiling is the way he played in his rookie season when he was something of a gunslinger - and set rookie records despite no first team reps till Tyrod was hurt and not playing a full 16 games. . . . I think Baker's ceiling is his 9 game stretch 2020 when we went to and won a play off game. . . . . I think if Baker goes to a good situation, he will be a good NFL QB. If he goes to a team in transition (panthers jump to mind - they have a dead in the water HC who is going to be fired at the end of the season) he will look bad. I doubt we get more than a high 3rd round pick.

Bakers PFF's metrics are not very encouraging when you study
Them. Combine the fact that he is turnover prone
And lest not forget the Number 1 overall pick.
His stock is falling faster than DeShaun Watsons pants

If nothing works out soon, you carry him into the training camp and wait for a starting Qb to get injured (not wishing for that but it happens pretty much every year). And if that doesn't happen, you have the length of the watson suspension to make him sit the bench as the backup Qb. If he refuses then he doesn't get paid. If he creates issues you suspend him for behavior detrimental and you don't have to pay him.

I think you hit it on the head.

While we may be impatient to see how it works out, right now the FO has time to play the wait game.

Imagine this scenario where you start Brissett in game one, he goes down early. Then Baker has to come in, he lights it up, and wins the first 8 games. Then you ship him to some WOKE team, and he wins there... While DW comes in to boos and struggles. I could so see that. Browns will Browns. Is DW the most hated man in Cleveland right now? I think he is.

Bucs are running it back. We host them and that’ll be a primetime game (or 4:25 start)

I had no idea that 11 games was considered "a couple". Good to know.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Those 11 games that Baker won as a QB at this is irrelevant.
If they had any merit now there would have been more of a market
For Mayfield. I thought he could be a bridge QB now
But he isnt even that now. The demand for Baker is simply
Not there at this moment. Maybe the Lions can acquire him
Dorsey is a huge fan of his

So that's now you explain "a couple" as being 11. Good to know.

He's a free agent, it was a one year deal. He is now coming off ANOTHER knee injury.
Unless he's coming here on a veteran minimum deal, we have no place for him.

Saw an article where it was showing a twitter thread of his. People were asking about different destinations. Someone asked him to come back to Cleveland. His response was: LOL that's an interesting one

Sorry for the lack of a link, I can't seem to be able to re-find it.

I wouldn’t put it past OBJ to want to come back here now, though I highly doubt we’d do that

What are the likes of the Jets and Dolphins going to do with Tyreek Hill? Jeez, people were complaining about Baker wasting OBJ's talents here....

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

If Corey Coleman breaks out as Tyreek Hill's replacement, I will be annoyed. I'll probably also have to laugh.
