is twitter owned by the government? last time i checked, twitter sets the rules in their TOS. seems like conservatives love corporations and the free market right up until they do something that negatively affects them.

And those are the facts. People can debate whether Twitter was right or wrong in their call to ban Trump. That's not something I'm trying to address. But they certainly have the right to control who posts on their platform. For any Republican to try and debate that point goes against everything they've said about the rights of a business for what seems like forever.

Twitter made the right move banning Trump, but they should have removed the whole damn party. That would have sent the proper message; The GOP is off the rails.

Then the congressional staffers proof and make changes as directed. Then Senators get 45 minutes to read 10,000 pages before they vote on it. This is how it works. The other half is budgetary/housekeeping, or a congressional members commitment to an issue. Do you think big social media will have a say in any regulations they will be facing? Think about it.

No doubt. NYT had a big story on this a little over four years ago and outed a number of influencers and celebrities that bought followers. One of them was Chef Michael Symon, lol. Ray Lewis, Kathy Ireland and John Leguizamo were also outed. The company selling the fake followers, Devumi, was making some good money doing this!

I assumed, at this point, most people just accepted the fact that a good portion of followers were likely bots at this point.
