I was not to clear. I should have said since he came to the Browns his current teammates have all said this guy is good.
Walker and others. I thought you were perfectly clear. I didn't even read twice until it was questioned.

Getting Newsome and JOK was like having 2 1st Round Picks ...

Didn’t know who we was until we drafted him. Watched some videos, saw him in the introductory PC and became grateful we have him. Seemed mature and confident. His play as a rookie was very encouraging.
I think the Troy P. comparison is valid, he’s fast, aware, instinctive and a good tackler. He will be a defensive captain soon, might be our new favourite fella in a few months.

Very quick. Explosive. Great lateral quickness. Takes good angles. One other aspect that I've noticed: he can stick a tackle. In many of the video examples I've seen (including this one), he does it right- he tackles through the runner, and wraps him up. No YAC in these tackles. That is huge, because many times he's doing it in space, where a missed tackle could lead to a backbreaker big play. This aspect of D play has dogged Browns defenses for decades. He really does look like the kind of player who could redefine the position. It will be interesting to see how DC's try to handle him, now that there's a whole season of tape on him. I can't imagine what wrinkles they might try, since he seems to break their schemes by simply playing unconventionally with that freakish combo of athleticism and instinct of his. I really think he could be the vanguard of a next generation of NFL LB's: lighter, faster/quicker, more slippery, more reactive, less stack & shred- the next step as the game evolves. It only makes sense: the game is much faster now. Every position must evolve as the game changes. As much as I love him and appreciate all he did for us, I believe that Clay Matthews would probably be an average+ player in today's game... it has changed that much since his time in the league. JOK is one of those players I want to watch from draft to retirement. He intrigues me that much. .02

I could be way off on this one, but I see similarities between JOK and Derwin James. I know they play different positions, but JOK has the size of a large safety rather than a Devin White type of LBer. They remind me of each other because they are both good against the run w/their decisiveness, angles, slipping blockers, and speed. In coverage, both have good hips which allows them to turn and run w/receivers and both can cover quite a bit of ground in coverage.

Well said. For as light in the pants as he is, I don't think I ever saw a guy leak past one of his tackle attempts.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Jeremiah was a rookie last year. He missed some time. Woods fed him slowing. He did not want to overwhelm him.
This season I believe we will see JOK really impact games. He will get int's. Make key stops and get sacks.
He will become more confident inside the scheme. He will be loose and play the way he can.
I am glad Walker was brought back. I think Taki has grown. Phillips is an interesting player. He has length and does alright in space. Still a young player who has potential and is developing. I like our linebackers. IMO we will see a better overall performance from the group.

I'd like to see Malcomb Smith come back. I know he's not-young...but I thought he was considerably more-effective than was Walker. Walker can't cover...he's not a thumper...outside of interviews, I can't think of anything he does well. I'm with you on Philips...I think he can be quite good. Taki is pretty good at the limited role we need him in. JOK is a stud...I'd like him to put on 10 lbs or so though. I think he can carry that - and more - with his talents and instincts. We need Fields to grow into a viable backup.

JOK Jukes players he doesnt get Juked Not really related to football, but your comment reminded me of those old Chuck Norris jokes. Westion, was ChucK Norris older today, than the 6 Flags dancing bus guy? Chuck Norris is 82 years old today. The 6 Flags dancing bus guy, Born in I975 is 46? so Chuck Norris has always been 36 years older than the actor who portrayed th3 6 flags dancing bus guy. Now, the 6 flags guy was pretending to be an old man needing a cane to walk, well, Chuck Norris is 82. Chuck Norris doesn't wear leather, Leather clings to him for protection. Chuck Norris once kicked a schoolbus, and that's how the Utah community was established. What does this have to do with JOK? It doesn't, thank you. Sione Taki Taki should hope to get some playing time from A. Walker, imo. so there's that.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
