I asked you simple questions. You are making things up out of thin air. Either Avenatti has something to do with January 6th or not. I never said anything about whether it was okay to post it or not.

And you accuse me of starting fights.

Dude, I have a life. Dear Lord, you run willy nilly into every thread and post...............it would be amazing to me if I get back on here in an hour or 2 and pit isn't listed as the last poster in almost every thread.

And Avenatti is pertinent as much as trump is - it's people like you that bring trump up in EVERY single thread. Deflection from biden and the economy, I know.

And the reversals on people that adored hillary at the time, now saying they didn't support her? Hilarious.

You are hilarious. I'm retired. You work. And you make that sound like you have a life and I don't. I see you actually addressed nothing I asked you. No, I do not bring trump up in every single thread. But here's the actual, funny part about that.

trump is still running the republican party. He is still actively out campaigning and endorsing candidates. He is the leading contender for the 2020 Republican nomination for president. He is still out spreading the lies that led to January 6th. Yet your and some others answer to that?

"All you do is talk about trump." You keep trying to silence us as the Republican hopeful to become president in 2024 is still on the campaign trail. And you think anyone really takes that seriously?

Look, if you still can't figure out the current economy wasn't caused by long term policies by both parties, I can't help you.

I always said I didn't support hillary. I said multiple times that I didn't vote for her. OCD couldn't stand her.

I probably wouldn't have voted for biden either but I witnessed what happened when I didn't vote for hillary.

So Anenatti was pertinent to bring up in a January 6th thread? And replying as to why Avenatti was brought up in that thread is your issue?

There's actually nothing in your post that makes sense, other than your revisionist history. Your inability to even say you blamed trump for everything, the lies you post ..........eh, you're not worth it to me.

you're retired? Cool. Get a life instead of posting incessantly and non stop on some message board. heck of a retirement you must have, sitting at the computer for 12 hours or so a day.

He was absolutely a media darling at the time - he appeared to be a clean cut, eloquent lawyer who was taking it to Donny. And he had a salacious story with a porn star and Trump. Of course the media gobbled it up. Are you suggesting they shouldn't have ???? And I mentioned earlier - I can't deny it was very fun to hear someone talk to Trump the way Trump deals with others.

Like the rioters - like Hunter Biden - like Hilary .... I hope the law fully prosecutes those that break and flout the law. I am glad Avenatti is serving time for being Douche. He's earned it.

I don't watch MSM news or opinion shows ... so thanks for sharing these and some of the others. I don't watch them all but click on some when I have the time. That was very compelling. I've never heard of Denver Riggleman before - no doubt he will get brandished a RINO by Trump and the crazy Q followers. I hope they have this data nailed down and irrefutable no matter who is or is not involved.

The level of corruption inside the trump administration and what these people were plotting to do is astounding.

It is proof of the hypocrisy of the false patriotism these same people wrap themselves in. Power corrupts absolutely. Those involved are the worst kinds of criminals. They are the same as crooked cops and pedifile priests.

If there is ever justice. I hope it finds them.

No kidding and this Ginni Thomas / Clarence Thomas angle just adds and takes it to a whole new level. Honestly - as disgusted by the leaked opinion trying to overturn Roe vs Wade on the back of a really poor justification .... I am 10x more shocked and concerned by the craziness and influence Ginni was trying to instigate.

You obviously lack the ability to follow time stamps. Why are you so concerned with how I spend my time? Why does it bother you so much and why are you whining about it? You're a very petty little man.

Maybe you should spend more time worrying about your oen life instead of worrying about mine. I'm doing just fine. And somehow I think that bothers you.

Here's your problem. Your claim is, as in bold, that posters on this board were promoting him for president. Yet you have no receipts to back that up. All you have is some on the left were. And not a large percentage of them. As per usual you made claims that are false and then blame others for revisionist history and lying. You're hilarious.

And once again, 40 brought up Avenatti that proved Trump was a scum bag and a liar which has nothing to do with Jan. 6th. But keep droning on about something you can't back up.

Grand jury indicts former Trump adviser Peter Navarro for contempt of Congress

A federal grand jury has indicted former Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro for contempt of Congress after he refused to cooperate in the House January 6 committee’s investigation.

According to the Justice Department, Navarro will make an appearance in court Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET in Washington.

He faces two contempt counts: one for his failure to produce documents demanded by the committee and the second for failing to show up for subpoenaed testimony before House investigators.

The House had voted in April to refer Navarro to the Justice Department for not complying with the select committee’s February subpoena.

Navarro had claimed that he was unable to cooperate because former President Donald Trump had asserted executive privilege in the matter. The committee had countered those arguments by citing for example that many of the topics it wanted to discuss with him he had already written about in great detail in his book.

The indictment comes after Navarro revealed Monday that he had been subpoenaed by federal prosecutors who were seeking documents related to his decision. Navarro said in an interview with MSNBC Thursday night that he “responded” to the Justice Department, but he declined to say he would be willing to turn over the documents requested by prosecutors.

The subpoena from the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia specifically requests “all documents relating to the subpoena dated February 9, 2022, that you received from the House Select Committee to investigate the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, including but not limited to any communications with former President Trump and/or his counsel or representatives.”

Mike Pence's chief of staff alerted the Secret Service that Trump would publicly attack Pence on Jan. 5, 2021

https://news.yahoo.com/mike-pences-chief-staff-alerted-185421608.html

Marc Short, the former chief of staff to Vice President Mike Pence and an early member of his 2024 presidential campaign in-waiting, warned the Secret Service that former President Donald Trump was about to publicly attack his boss the day before the January 6 insurrection.

The new reporting from The New York Times — part of Maggie Haberman's upcoming book "Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America" — describes Short as unsure of the specific nature of the threat. But Short was concerned that Trump's efforts to pressure Pence into halting the official certification of election results could pose a security threat to Pence, multiple sources involved told Haberman.

On January 5, Trump tweeted a call for Pence to reject the results and, according to the new reporting from the Times, tried convincing some of his informal advisors to go up to the VP's residence at the Naval Observatory to pressure him.

After Trump spoke with Pence and once again pushed him to obstruct the peaceful transfer of power, Short called Pence's lead Secret Service agent, Tim Giebels, to his office and warned him that Trump would publicly attack Pence.

During the storming of the Capitol, rioters chanted "hang Mike Pence," and Secret Service officers quickly escorted Pence to an undisclosed secure location.

Ahead of Short's alert to the agency — which declined to comment for the Times story, as did a spokesperson for Pence — Trump officials were ratcheting up the pressure for the VP's team to help overturn the election results.

Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told Short that Trump decided to withhold funding for a post-White House office for Pence.

As part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by Insider, the names and salaries of Trump and Pence post-White House staffers were disclosed for the first time.

Pence also received a request to meet with former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell while on vacation in Vail, Colorado, according to the report, which did not specify whether the meeting ever materialized.

Amid the building tensions, Short reached out to top Trump aide and son-in-law Jared Kushner to ask "how he could defuse what was becoming an untenable clash between the Pence and Trump camps," according to the Times.

Kushner didn't take him up on the request, telling Short he was busy with negotiations in the Middle East, according to the report. Kushner would later declare an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict despite no formal peace agreement and continued killings, with Israeli forces fatally shooting two Palestinians earlier this week.

_________

ahh, our christian believing, freedom loving patriots chanting "hang mike pence" leading up to the insurrection that day.

imagine having to call the secret service and informing them that the POTUS is about to publicly trash his own VP due to a potential security threat, which it most certainly was.

now imagine being a republican voter who will vote for that same POTUS in 2024 if he's on the primary ballot, and then answer this: why in god's name should i trust anybody who votes republican?

Navarro was arrested at the airport yesterday. He refused to answer to a subpoena to appear before the committee. He refused a subpoena to hand over documents. Then he whined about it being a conspiracy and how he was treated like a commoner. You know, the same way the rest of us would be treated if we refused to answer to a subpoena.

He was on Ari Melber show on MSNBC a couple days ago and I watched some of it. It was alot of back and forth. He said that he told the FBI that if they needed something, let him know and he will comply. He was subpoenaed to show up and give them the correspondence between him and trump.
He didn't show up so they got him in public before he got on a plane, put him in cuffs and leg irons in jail and held him for 7 hours.

It gets insane after a while, talking about the kangaroo court, that if the repubs take over the house they are impeaching Biden for Ukraine and immigration.
and if trump gets back in in 24, they are going to have their DOJ arrest the people who didn't go along with the big lie, including the 1/6 committee

GOP Moved From Conservative Principles to 'Cult of Personality': Riggleman

Former Representative Denver Riggleman said Sunday that the Republican Party has "moved away from conservative principles," to a "cult of personality" surrounding former President Donald Trump.

His comments came during an interview on CNN after he was asked about remarks made by Representative Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican, who said there is "absolutely a cult of personality around Donald Trump" within segments of her party, in an interview that was released Friday.

Riggleman, a Virginia Republican, lost his primary reelection campaign in 2020. Last year, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi picked him to serve as an adviser to the House select committee that is investigating the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. However, he said he was leaving the committee in April to work with a nonprofit organization in Ukraine.

During his interview on State of the Union, host Jake Tapper played the statement from Cheney saying that "it is contrary to everything conservatives believe to embrace a personality cult, and yet, that is what so many in my party are doing today."

"Do you agree with that characterization...To many Republicans, it's a personality cult, not a party?" Tapper asked.

"It is, and I got to see that firsthand as you know with our team and the text messages...," Riggleman responded.

Tapper then interjected by asking: "You were a Republican congressman. Do you still consider yourself a Republican?"

"I think the party left me some time ago, I don't," the former lawmaker said. "What I've seen behind the scenes has even pushed me further away, that the party has moved away from conservative principles to this cult of personality that Liz Cheney is talking about. She's absolutely correct."

"And when you see it behind the door, when you see the data, when you see the investigation, when you see those smart people and what they come up with Jake, it's absolutely stunning that cult of personality, but also the belief systems that I don't any real conservative could follow at any point," Riggleman continued.

The former congressman said he now considers himself an independent.

Proud Boys charged with seditious conspiracy in Capitol riot

MICHAEL KUNZELMAN
Mon, June 6, 2022, 3:52 PM·3 min read

The former top leader of the far-right Proud Boys extremist group and other members have been charged with seditious conspiracy for what federal prosecutors say was a coordinated attack on the U.S. Capitol to stop Congress from certifying President Joe Biden’s 2020 electoral victory, authorities said Monday.

Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, the former Proud Boys chairman, and four others linked to the group are charged in the latest indictment against them. All five were previously charged with different conspiracy counts.

Tarrio, the group’s top leader, wasn’t in Washington, D.C., when the riot erupted on Jan. 6, 2021. Police arrested Tarrio in Washington two days before the riot and charged him with vandalizing a Black Lives Matter banner at a historic Black church during a protest in December 2020. Tarrio was released from jail on Jan. 14 after serving his five-month sentence for that case.

The new riot-related indictments against Proud Boys members are among the most serious filed so far, but they aren't the first of their kind.

Eleven members or associates of the anti-government Oath Keepers militia group, including its founder and leader Stewart Rhodes, were indicted in January on seditious conspiracy charges in the Capitol attack.

More than three dozen people charged in the Capitol siege have been identified by federal authorities as Proud Boys leaders, members or associates.

A New York man pleaded guilty in December to storming the U.S. Capitol with fellow Proud Boys members. Matthew Greene was the first Proud Boys member to publicly plead guilty to conspiring with other members to stop Congress from certifying the Electoral College vote. Greene agreed to cooperate with authorities.

On the morning of Jan. 6, Proud Boys members met at the Washington Monument and marched to the Capitol before then-President Donald Trump finished speaking to thousands of supporters near the White House.

Just before Congress convened a joint session to certify the election results, a group of Proud Boys followed a crowd of people who breached barriers at a pedestrian entrance to the Capitol grounds, an indictment says. Several Proud Boys also entered the Capitol building itself after the mob smashed windows and forced open doors.

Prosecutors have said the Proud Boys arranged for members to communicate using specific frequencies on Baofeng radios. The Chinese-made devices can be programmed for use on hundreds of frequencies, making it difficult for outsiders to eavesdrop.

In December, a federal judge refused to dismiss an earlier indictment charging four alleged leaders of the far-right Proud Boys with conspiracy. U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly rejected defense attorneys’ arguments that the four men — Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl and Charles Donohoe — were charged with conduct that is protected by the First Amendment right to free speech.

Nordean, of Auburn, Washington, was a Proud Boys chapter president and a member of the group’s national “Elders Council.” Biggs, of Ormond Beach, Florida, is a self-described Proud Boys organizer. Rehl was president of the Proud Boys chapter in Philadelphia. Donohoe, of Kernersville, North Carolina, also served as president of his local chapter, according to the indictment.

Proud Boys members describe the group as a politically incorrect men’s club for “Western chauvinists.” Its members frequently have brawled with antifascist activists at rallies and protests. Vice Media co-founder Gavin McInnes, who founded the Proud Boys in 2016, sued the Southern Poverty Law Center for labeling it as a hate group.

For any single American who believes in the Constitution to ignore what took place Jan 6th and listen to what Riggleman states so clearly.

Then support trump and somehow try to justify what took place that day like it was 1776.

They do not deserve to be citizens of the United States.

New email shows how the Trump campaign instructed fake electors in Georgia to secretly infiltrate the state's Capitol to cast electoral college votes

The Washington Post obtained an email from Trump's campaign to fake GOP electors.

The email outlined how these electors could infiltrate Georgia's Capitol and sign certificates.

It also asked the scheme's participants for "complete secrecy and discretion" to ensure Trump's win.

A bombshell email obtained by The Washington Post and CNN has unveiled new information on a scheme concocted by former President Donald Trump's campaign in Georgia that involved getting fake electors to cast electoral votes for him.

The email, dated December 13, 2020, contained instructions on how the electors could position themselves to cast electoral college votes in favor of Trump, despite President Joe Biden's victory in the state. Despite the plan, all 16 electoral votes for the state were cast in favor of the Biden-Harris ticket the following day.

In the email sent by a Trump campaign staffer, fake electors were instructed on how to infiltrate the Georgia State Capitol, sign certificates declaring they were there to cast the votes for the state, and ultimately defy the will of the state's voters by voting for Trump instead.

"I must ask for your complete discretion in this process," wrote Robert Sinners, the Trump campaign's elections operations director in Georgia, per the outlets. "Your duties are imperative to ensure the end result — a win in Georgia for President Trump — but will be hampered unless we have complete secrecy and discretion."

According to The Post, the electors were told to inform the building's security guards that they had an appointment with one of the state senators to gain entry.

"Please, at no point should you mention anything to do with Presidential Electors or speak to the media," Sinners wrote in bold text, per the outlet.

Georgia was one of seven states where Trump's allies sent fake documents to the National Archives falsely declaring that he had won in them. The papers bore the signatures of the Trump supporters claiming to be valid electors but were actually rogue individuals who had no legitimate role in certifying election results.

The issue of fake electors in Georgia is currently being investigated by Fani Willis, the Fulton County district attorney.

In a statement to The Post, Sinners said he was merely following instructions from senior campaign staffers and David Shafer, the chairman of the Georgia Republican Party.

"Following the Former President's refusal to accept the results of the election and allow a peaceful transition of power, my views on this matter have changed significantly from where they were on December 13th," said Sinners, who now works for Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger — a known Trump enemy.

A lawyer for Shafer told The Post that Shafer had handed over all his communications about the electoral vote to the January 6 committee investigating the Capitol riot.

"None of these communications, nor his testimony, suggest that Mr. Shafer requested or wished for confidentiality surrounding the provisional electors," Shafer's lawyer said, per the outlet.

Trump's representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider.

aye yall remember when the audio leaked of Trump demanding that the state AG just find "one more vote" in georgia so he could win?

I wonder if Peen and Arch would've stormed the capitol building if Hillary or Obama did that...

To be 100% accurate Trump didn't say "one more vote" - he asked them to find exactly how many votes needed to overturn the result. I think that's worse to anyone interested in a democracy - for a Trump sycophant it was a perfect phone call, just like the one to Zelensky.

To be fair, you gotta look at who's telling things to people. FOX news, Hannity, Carlson... All lying. FOX won't show all the video that is out there of the attack on the capital..They are still telling people that it was Antifa and BLM... And they only show parts of the attack that appear peaceful...

So, Loyal followers of FOX only get part of the story.. NOT the whole story.

The owners of FOX are world renowned for the way they portray anything from the Right. If you look at how many respected journalists have left simply because they won't put up with the lies..

Time for FOX news to held accountable... Also, Brietbart, Bannon, Alex Jones and Infowars.. And we gotta find this guy known as Q. Make them all pay.

SO they have Trump by the nads with evidence, the DOJ is passing out sedition charges to low-level scum, so quote this and tell me if you think he will do even a day in jail. I believe the traitorous seditionist in chief will walk, the dems will try to get him disqualified for 2024 as a consolation prize. I should add that this is what I think now, these public hearings detailing what they've found in detail may change my mind. Personally, I hope they all get significant time. They did the worst thing I've ever seen in this country, and I've seen a lot. I agree with whoever it was that said it was worse than 9-11, not in death tolls or instant shock value, but in its attack on the country and the long-term damage done.
