Baldwin has looked better than Schwartz

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Kelly had a good run play, and a 3rd and short got wrapped up, so they go for it on 4th down, and convert,
then move another First down forward.
Only entering FG range.

Rosen has looked serviceable for a 3rd stringer … but we just fumbled it away

The player always, trying to fight for the extra yards to get the first, is in danger of what happened here, a fumble, Jags ball at the break, was his knee down?

Browns are playing that, ... give up the middle pass and keep the clock running , defense we've seen it a lot from KS's tenure as a coach.

FL: ford fumbled on the Jags 15 yard line. They are driving with about 7 mins left … we are up 24-13

Nothing like a 40 yard DPI penalty
That’s H. Miller’s 2nd

I Like Moffatt, he was on another teams roster a couple months ago, I thought he was gone,
Browns need to keep Moffatt

Jags in scoring positon, got an offensive penalty.

Just like that, offensive holding,
Herb Miller redeems himself, with an interception getting toes in the right sideline to have 2 feet down.
Touchback, Browns ball.

DW's stats look terrible, he threw it, but 3 drops hurt your completion rate. Ugh!!!

Schwartz is simply not good enough

His first pass, the very first offensive snap of the game, may have been called a drop but it was also off target too high and not in sync with the receiving target.
(Analytics' must think that WRs don't matter, they don't draft any Ist round WRs or even 2nds, and... it's been ongoing.)

I think it was determined that schwartz ran that first route at the wrong depth

I don't get this concept... of... there being nothing more to it than running a route anyway.
a I/2 a month ago I wanted to have this argument that, if you get the perfect route runner, doesn't every defense, NFL defense, defender, and coordinator, that make their LIFE being a defender already know about all the routes somebodys ever thought up of, so their must be,
their must be a place they know the ball is headed to, and they can anticipate routes sometimes, and when I re-saw the Browns vs. Chiefs playoff game it sure seemed the Chiefs wrs./players were intentionall doing odd things after they were downfield to break off, and get where the route wasn't headed but the ball ended up.
The only point I'm trying to argue is
The desire to ac@uire the perfect route runner is not an end all be all that will guarantee a I900 yd, 50 Touchdown year WR or someone on the road to those numbers. It's not soley about route running there has to be more to it than that.
And if it Were soley about route running then defenses would just hang out along those, and never let a team complete a pass anyways.

How did the Offensive line play?

I heard some highlights from the NFL/Jaguars broadcast, and I thought that Bucky Brooks sounded like a cross between constipated and drunk. crazy That's about my biggest impact from the game. Mant of the rookies played well, and that was huge, but most were playing against other rookies who will not be in the league in a few weeks. Itw as, however, encouraging. (in its own way) I was disappointed with our "1st team" offense, almost completely across the board. (in quotes, because many 1st teamers had the night off)

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
