I’d like Slayton

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

This is just an opinion on Brady.

I respect the guy and all he has accomplished. But I think he is going to look human this year.

45 is 45 even with his diet and conditioning. The big thing is the team is different. No Gronk. OL missing key guys.

He is going to feel 45 this season as it drags on and he is getting rushed up the middle. He will get frustrated. His family and life outside will wear on his mind.

You can not play forever. Age gets you in many ways not just your body.

Would not have hated to see the Browns go after Shenault.

Browns claim WR Easop Winston from New Orleans - He played in 3 games as a punt returner for the Saints last year - didn't see any field time as a WR.

Shenault is one I would have liked going after as well, as long as the price was right

Just checked under Panthers News, because (why not) and, II:30 am, Panthers may look for a proven veteran WR.

then, from 2 hours ago, the Jaguars have traded WR Laviska Shenault to the Panthers.
So.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

The rent comes due on everyone.

I saw his press conference after his absence. He looked gaunt. He said I am forty-five with a lots going on in life.

I think he is seeing the future very clearly.

The Dolphins cut Sony Michel AND Muhamid Sanu, I wonder if Sanu has anything left in the tank.

I have no idea if Araiza is guilty or not. I do agree w/what the parents are saying. I think it is disgusting that the Court of Public Opinion has the power to slap a guilty verdict on a professional athlete and can determine whether or not they play. I thought we have evolved beyond the witch hunts of days long gone by. I thought the legal system should determine one's guilt or innocence. Giving power to mean-spirited, small-minded people is an example of the devolution of mankind.

I don't know if he is innocent or guilty, but this is why I rail against the virtue signaling mob so much. It's scary. Then you add an organization like the NFL that amplifies the virtue signaling mob and gives them a platform because all they care about is perception and money, and you better hope you are never accused of anything.

It won't be long, if it hasn't happened already, where there will be carefully orchestrated conspiracies to get rid of certain players. Accusations are fact and it if you want to get rid of someone that's all you'll need.

I agree, this information should not be public, unless they are convicted, or at least until they have their day in court.

Even if he turns out to be innocent, the damage is done. He will probably have missed his NFL opportunity.

If he is guilty, let the justice system handle it.

Tampa is loaded at receiver. He is young and had 36 for 360 last year.

I was thinking about him, but Preston Williams might be more desirable.

I would prefer Williams because of his size. Johnson is 6’1 but that doesn’t come close to Williams. Johnson is slower, even though he has been productive.

Disagree. Dude's leg is an absolute weapon. If he's innocent, he'll get snatched up ala Kareem Hunt (note: Hunt wasn't even innocent). To your point, if it was someone that was further down the depth chart you'd probably be correct.

I somewhat agree that 'innocent until proven guilty' might not always apply to these guys (like this situation), but I don't think that means you should hide this from the public.

I'm certainly not saying you're wrong because you are 100% correct that age catches up with us all eventually. The issue I have is I thought the exact same thing when he was 43 and 44.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I don't think the team is that good. There is a new coach. They lost key guys on the OL.

Aging is like compound interest once you hit 40.

So, it is a combination of things. Brady has always been "all ball." Perfect practice makes perfect.

His press conference he did not look the same to me. His face is drawn. He said "I am 45 man - alot **** going on.

He took 13 days off. It is not that he has not earned that. It is something he never would have done before.

Believe me it is not knock. I remember Ali fighting Holmes. I was in tears.

It is not just the body. It is also the will.

Yikes.

As a Browns fan, I recognize this sort of bad drafting as all too familiar.

Mayock was so bad - right up there with the horrible GMs of the Browns of the past.

It's funny that the Raiders (and fans) thought Mike Mayock would be good at his job because he was once a draft analyst on the NFL network and Gruden wouldn't be a boomer coach rivaling Jeff Fisher and catch-up to the current NFL. It's why Louis Riddick gets GM interviews because he was an analyst on drafts and does game announcing, or kinda like Bernie Kosar Syndrome for some Browns' fans. Just because he played QB back in the 80s, he should interview for the OC job! (admittedly, I haven't seen this in a couple of years)

Old saying we, the boys, know well- happy wife, happy life- he's a husband with kids and, JMHO, his wife is letting him know football really isn't the end all, be all. As far as his body- hell, the way he eats, trains, he's 45 but body wise like he's mid thirties. Go Browns!!!

I'm going to be pushing hard for Jim Tressel if/when Stefanski is ever let go!

Side note, the Browns interviewing Mike Singletary for the GM position to knock out the Rooney Rule was a wild one.

The timing is rather advantageous since Tressel is retiring/retired. Coincidence?......I think not!

As long as he doesn't play the same hand as Urban Meyer (Pun intended)

This is what happens when you hire some supposed know it all TV analyst to actually be an NFL GM. It's why no fans should ever take a TV draft analyst seriously. Sure, a former NFL GM can become a draft analyst but as has been proven, it doesn't work so well the other way around.
