BILOXI, Miss. — A Mississippi man is accused of biting off the nose of another man after the two had a running argument stemming from a round of golf, authorities said Mark Curtis Wells, 51, of Biloxi was charged with felony mayhem, WXXV-TV reported. According to a news release from the Bay St. Louis Police Department, officers responded to a report of an assault at about 9:30 p.m. CST on Monday. Authorities determined that Wells, the victim and others had been arguing about a round of golf that had been played at the Bridges Golf Course at the Hollywood Casino resort in Biloxi, The Sun-Herald reported. The argument ended in the parking lot of the casino, where police found the victim with a “disfiguring facial injury,” according to the police news release. “The investigation determined that suspect, Mark Curtis Wells, bit the nose off of the victim,” Bay St. Louis police Chief Toby Schwartz said. After allegedly biting the victim, Wells fled the casino parking lot in a dark-colored Tesla, the release stated. Wells was booked into the Hancock County Jail at 11:46 p.m. Wednesday and released from custody less than an hour later after posting bail of $50,000, according to online booking records. Wells is facing a maximum prison sentence of up to seven years if he is convicted, the Sun-Herald reported. Mississippi state law defines felony mayhem as a premeditated felony crime committed with the intent to kill in which the suspect mutilates, disfigures, disables or destroys someone’s tongue, eye, lip, nose, limb or another body part, according to the newspaper. https://www.theboneonline.com/news/...Bt3SLe1devE9nfSuj47_R0ZOcyjEKpb9RdWWeHgQ

Yet here you are. It's just a story that popped up in my news feed I found a little comical. You can now rent a sense of humor at any Sunbelt Rental or your local Home Depot. Give it a try.

About the article, I wonder how hard you really have to bite to do something like that. Nobody I know could just bite clean through an inch of skin, cartilage, and possibly bone without a struggle. But I have a lot of tools that could get the job done first swipe.

I’ll never forget in college one of my buddies got into a tussle and his opponent bit the lower half of his ear off. - He started screaming “get him the bleep off me!” - One of my other buddies ran over and broke the two of them up. I wasn’t there and if I was, the fight never would have happened. - Gotta know your own limits when it comes to fighting- and good friends will tell their friends when they’re pushing their own limits. Crazy people out there. Best to stay away from them. - A few months later, my buddy and his dad took the kid to court and won an undisclosed amount of money. True Story.

I don't doubt the truthfulness of it. I've seen some crazy things very close to that myself. Hell, we see often times these days the first go to is shooting people in what should be a very minor issue.

Absolutely. And for me, the biggest thing that I need to control is the minor road rage that I get every now and then. I’m a patient driver but live in an area where some people aren’t so patient. - Had my kid with me about a year ago and some idiot started honking behind me to turn left when there was cars flying by in both directions in front of us. I flicked him off, which only triggered his honking. - Could have gotten a lot worse. He may have had a gun. As for the “shooting” worry you speak of, the only thing that I could tell you is to be aware of your surroundings and trust your instincts. When I’m in public with my family, the first thing that I think of is an escape plan I the event of an active shooter. Guns are out there man. No way to undue that. Just do your best to avoid them. Back to topic… my little sister bit me once when we were kids and my mom threatened to bite her for doing so. She started crying and apologizing endlessly. 😆

That's on add thing for me. When I was younger I would get road rage as well. My patience wasn't that great when it came to stupidity. I'm still not a fan of stupidity mind you but I've come to accept that I'm going to see my fair share of it on the road. I've become quite patient on the road and learned to laugh at the stupidity rather than allowing it to anger me. My wife on the the hand who never drives when we go anywhere covers the road rage for me. She's my surrogate road rager. I'll just drive along calm as can be and she's raising hell about other drivers. As far as the gun issue, all of the people shooting others over nothing does trouble me. It's a reflection of our society. It's not something I would say worries me so much. I have no reason to go into high crime areas where such things would be more likely and let's just say, I'm always prepared for such a thing if need be. One needs to learn to be adaptable.

Not unless the man had a deformity. Most noses have two holes. Two holes in one? Maybe.

I don’t know why this is anybody else’s business … the media is so nosy
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Nose for the news, my asthma! Nearly every hack acts like nostrildamus when the majority of them don't know snot. Even when they have something to really run with, they usually bugger it up!
