Vogt's first lineup as manager.

Nice win to open the season .... 8-0 over the A's.

Yeah the A's aren't very good ... but good start nonetheless. laugh

Yea, Bieber with 11 strikeouts.

Naylor had a little scare getting hit by a pitch on his hand.

Dear Dad, Thank you for teaching me to root for the likes of Reggie Jackson, Ron Guidry, Jim Leyritz, Tino, Jeter, and the rest of the Yankees. I’ll never understand why these other guys root for the Cleveland Indians when they could just as easily cheer for and support the greatest organization in all of sports.

Nice.

If there are more than 38 people at that game it's because a bunch have gone to the bathroom. Wow.

Great start so far for the Guards. Always nice to start off the season 3-0, no matter who you play.

I felt going into the season that Bieber and Trout would bounce back and have big years.

The Guardians had Reynaldo Lopez as a reliever last season. His six years with the White Sox were mostly as a reliever.

The Braves traded for him with the idea to stretch him out. He wanted to be a starter.

His splits between his use as a starter and reliever were much better as a reliever. He felt he could start.

He pitched last night against the White Sox in 40 degree temperature with wind.

He was really good. He gave up a run in six innings. He was on the black with everything.

If he continues as the fifth starter. The Braves might win 110 games. If not he will go back to the pen as a power righty.

Not much longer until service time manipulation has been achieved and Manzardo gets called up...

Nice shutout win today for Logan Allen and the Guardians.

Really curious to see what Manzardo can do.

I have been tracking him since before the Guardians got him. He has that classic left hander power stroke.

If he shows he is ready; he would be a huge lift for the Guards.

When did the schedule makers change the days off? Never seen a regular day off on a Friday!

My guess is the schedule makers were allowing for the possibility of an Opening Day postponement with Thursday being the Twins home opener. If the weather was bad (which is certainly reasonable this time of year in Minneapolis) it would not be ideal to have opening day for the Twins scheduled as a doubleheader, therefore, Friday happens to be an off day.

Condo?

My understanding is that the top rated hitters are Bazzana Middle infield Oregon St, JJ Wetherholt middle infield West Virginia, and Nick Kurtz 1b Wake Forest
Top rated pitcher is Chase Burns Wake Forest
Though I like Hagen Smith LP Arkansas

Horrible news. Naturally, it comes completely out of nowhere.

Really bad for Bieber as well in his contract year.

Man..... the Guardians gave up 7 walks and hit 3 batters ..... but only 2 hits, and win 3-1.

Nice trip out west so far .... 7-2 .... and I don't care who we have played, it's hard to do that out west against anyone.

Check out Charlie Condon, 1B/OF: https://www.ncaa.com/news/baseball/...-records-halfway-through-2024-season?amp

Mock draft I just looked at, had him going 3rd to the Rockies.

1a. Travis Bazzana 2B Oregon
1b. Charlie Condon 1B/OF Georgia

2a. Nick Kurtz 1B Wake Forest
2b. JJ Wetherholt SS/2B West Virginia

This is what I’ve been reading over the last two weeks.

Most of my stuff has been preseason. Wetherholt was most peoples #1

Bazzana has gone off so far
So has Chase Burns.

Preseason, Condon only has 1 good season.
I haven't seen what he has done so far this year.

Guess none of you have heard of Jac Caglianone, Florida.

LH pitcher who hits 99, and he hit 34 homers last year.

What more do you want?
