Honestly I don't know how that is possible.

I have seen him do that before. It still blows my mind.

Maybe we should never doubt Nick.

I think changing directions at full speed planting on the bad knee will be the real test. That and a tackler putting their full weight on him while he's in the process of doing that. Hopefully those who think he will return quickly at full speed are correct.

I doubt that they will test his knee while changing directions at full speed planting with a tackler putting their full weight on him while he's in the process of doing that.

That is how knees get torn.

The workouts he is doing like hopping back and forth on his injured knee and squatting that kind of weight.

Good indication he is pretty far along in rehab.

He's further along than I had anticipated he would be at this point. That's a very positive sign. And I wasn't suggesting they test the knee that way. I'm saying the in game situation I described will be the real test when it comes.

I'm guessing this might have to do with the Browns' FO not really putting a premium on the LB position as it does other defensive position groups or position groups overall on both sides of the ball. I suppose if the Browns view JOK as a special player that overrides that view, they'll get a deal done at some point.

I wonder what the franchise tag could be too.....and if that's worth it as an option if a deal can't get done.

He's still under contract for the upcoming season. JOK is certainly a special player. I don't think that in the end they'll let him get away.

I think it's smart not to comment about other people's business.

There was never really any doubt that Cooper would be signed.

Not sure how the deal is structured or how it ends up. Get paid market value. Report to Camp.

Play ball.

Glad it’s done. I wasn’t overly concerned but I’m happy they got this ironed out. He’s a key WR and I don’t think that Coop bring a year older will affect him as much as others; great route runner and great hands. Straight line speed isn’t the biggest aspect of his game.

There's really nothing impressive about that gym. It looks like any globogym anywhere, really.

Like I said, it's up to the Browns players to take advantage of the tools being provided to them by the Browns owners. To win a Super Bowl, it's going to take a take a max-effort by the entire team.

I have said this before.

There has never been a play caller be it head coach or OC that people didn't complain about. Never.

I don't care if it was Lindy Infante or Bruce Arians. People bitch about play calling. Every fan knows they could call a better play.

Right.

I am fine with KS calling plays.

To get the best effort from Watson pairing him with a play caller he is most experienced with might be the best choice and make the transition much smoother.

It does seem odd that you hire new coaches on the O side of the ball to reinvent the O to be centered around watson's skill set while the guy who has been calling the plays all along keeps calling the plays.

I don't view the changes to the offense in terms of absolutes. The changes are a collaborative effort involving both KS and the new coaching staff. The staff didn't go into a offensive scheme/play design shop then come out and present the "new offense" to KS. He actually knows the personnel better than any of the new hires. So, as I've read, and KS and KD have both been quoted, it was a partnership. Its the head coaches perogative to choose the play caller he feels gives them the best chance of winning.

It doesn't matter who calls the plays.

Dorsey will have great input what plays go on to Kevins Menu sheet.

This was expected to be the case; unless you're one of the out of touch goblins like Tony Grossi, that reaches for the low hanging fruit.

I'm fairly certain Stefanski said something to that effect in his training camp press c onference. If I heard correctly he said the Dorsey is the primary coaching voice in the QB room. That Stafanski himself, contributes as well as others including players. So Dorsey will have significant influence on game planning as well as scheme. But he's not doing it without input. Sounds healthy to me.

I would have liked to see what Stefanski looked like in more of a CEO role. I thought that’s where we were headed here.

I’m surprised by the announcement honestly.

Just making a quick check, nearly half the head coaches call plays. This isn't something unusual.

To me, calling plays does not disqualify a coach from performing the role of CEO. Stefanski seems to prefer being hands-on on game day. I think he could be more executive at other times.
