Jaft received a lifetime ban. Well deserved I remember the name Jaft. Why did he get a permanent ban?

Whatever happened to coachB? As I recall, CoachB garnered a ton of fact-checked/debunked pushback on the validity of PF posts he made, and retreated from view. He then came back to the boards as "CoachB's son," claiming that CoachB had died... another claim that was fact-checked/debunked. Dawgs: do I remember this correctly?

Nelson and his ice cream cone.
I think he got banned. He was entertaining at least. Nelson37 was a total head case. I remember telling him in an open thread that his posts crossed all accepted societal lines, gave me grave concerns about his mental health, and urged him to seek professional help. Shortly thereafter, D00D was gone. You may have found him entertaining, but many of his posts sent a chill down other Dawgs' spines.

I have tailgated, watched practice with, went to games with, went to dinner or lunch with, drank with, partied with, and even went to funerals of many members on the board. I can’t get anyone on here to call me on the phone, even when I tell them to call collect!

Whatever happened to coachB? I may be wrong about this, but I seem to recall something about trading Brady Quinn for Peyton Hillis with Hillis being compared to a “ham sandwich”. Hillis goes off for 1200 yards the next year and the poster gets roasted the entire season… I think that was CoachB, but may be wrong. Still one of the more memorable seasons on the board.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

Haha no, CoachB faked having cancer and then faked being his son as another poster.
The one-and-done legend you are thinking of is AkroneJoe.

There was also the poster TomFran. He lived in Sringfield, Ohio and was a very nice guy.

Tom, Akron Joe and Nelson are names I’d forgotten until now. I don’t recall any of them as being weird, though.

There was also that anarchist in PP. I forgot his name. He was a young guy, really into crypto and Elan Musk. I think his name started with a Ch, but I could be wrong. Or confusing him with someone else. His political views used to drive everybody crazy.

Tom, Akron Joe and Nelson are names I’d forgotten until now. I don’t recall any of them as being weird, though. Lamp: Nelson37 bombed my inbox with a screed that was based upon a PP post of mine dealing with racial issues. This was years ago. It was only about 5-6 paragraphs long. The first paragraph dealt with the subject of our disagreement, but the rest of his paragraphs had a definite 'Charles Manson' vibe. It was the first and only time I ever felt my heart rate jump from reading a pm at this website. Now, understand this: these paragraphs weren't some neonazi message- far from it. They were a number of paragraphs that were disjointed, unrelated, and just plain- (I'm not qualified to use this term in any way other than lay terms) psychotic. I read his PM several times over the course of 2-3 days, and could never find a common thread that could help me understand what he was trying to say too me. What I can say is this: each paragraph contained material that directly related to things I'd written in the recent past... not just in PP, but in other forums, as well. I thought to myself, "Dude- I'm way too much inside your head, and it's no place I want to be." Shortly thereafter, I did something I've never done, before or since- I made a personal appeal to a fellow poster in a public thread, telling him that I was extremely concerned about him. I don't know if he took a lifetime ban, took my advice, or just plain took off... but within weeks he was gone. Dude was carrying around some serious dysfunction. I haven't missed him. Not for one minute. _____________________ Names I haven't seen: Dawg LB Drunk Beerdowner Shooters_In_The _Flats

I remember he really got into it with another MIA poster, who I miss: PhilDawsonRocks/PDR/PDF. I think that is where the ice cream cone stuff came about.

Hi from the Steelers fan. Thank you for remembering me. I'm busy training for a 1/2 marathon. Up to about 7 miles. Working full-time as an IT geek. Just started dating a little bit again. It's been 15 months since my husband passed away. He would have wanted me to go out again. Sorry I've been pretty busy. Spending 3-4 days after work at the gym, trying to get in shape. Still down 117 pounds so I'm doing ok there.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Spiritbro77 was definitely passionate. He made his last post on the very day we traded for Watson... That is it for me guys. I have been an avid Browns fan since 1967 when I was five years old. With this move, I am done. I will not support a team that willingly brings in a sexual predator. Drafting a guy and having him end up a deviant is one thing, trading three first-round picks for a one is a horse of a different color. So I am out. Not sure if I'll switch to another team or just stop watching the NFL entirely. They have changed the game so much it is very hard to watch as it is. Either way, I am out. I wish everyone good health. Be safe and be well. Peace
