"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Not saying our tackles weren't horrendous, but I was more disappointed in our interior line. Aside from our D, they are supposed to a strength of the team and they really didn't look all that good either.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
I don't disagree. I would love to see Winston in there.
The team looked like they literally drew straws each quarter for who was going to short circuit the offense. QB is only part of the problem.

I bet if you gave KS truth serum he'd want Winston in there too. Or to have kept Flacco.
But, we're stuck with Watson and an aged out/injured/unmotivated OL

one crappy thing to me: let's just say we get Chubb back week 10 (which we all will really appreciate) ... but that point we could be 2-7 or whatever and have it be pointless

Third week and I am looking at the quarterbacks in the draft.
I wanted Baker to work. I wanted DW to work. I gave them both the benefit of doubt. I honestly thought DW would be who he was. I saw no real reason for a 28 year old star in the league to look like he has.
Oh well.
Garrett Nussmeier and Jalen Milroe have caught my eye. Really early but both are intriguing.

At least, for now, we have a first round pick in this upcoming draft.
Ewers could be a possibility? I'm assuming we'll be picking top 10

I would feel much better if we had a different 1-2 path ... but we lost AT HOME to two other teams who are ALSO just 1-2

Sure blame Stefanski, 2 time NFL coach of the year.
It would take him about a minute to find a job.
You do realize that his record so far in Cleveland has been one good year ...... 2 not so good ... 1 good year .... and now this year ....... this.
(11-5, 8-9. 7-10, 11-6, 1-2)
He has also not won the divison ... ever.
He better get things turned around soon.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
I am still baffled by the fact that DW seems to have went from superstar to this without really playing a game. I try to think how this may have happened and nothing makes sense. Unless he just doesn't want to play anymore. Sometimes, I wonder if he wants to get benched so he can just sit there and collect a check. Regarding the college QBs. I haven't seen much of Milroe and Nussmeier this year. Ewers looks like the real deal and I have had my eye on Beck for awhile now. This team just can't seem to get it right at the QB spot. It is damn near Twilight Zone episode strange how they get it wrong every time, no matter what tactic they take.
in regards to that 4th and 1 play where Watson doesn't read it correctly ... another sad point: we ran that EXACT same play against that EXACT same defensive alignment about a quarter earlier
Really frustrating

Who are the best quarterbacks eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft?
by week 18 Myles is going to have 18 injuries listed

"The Raiders run defense has given up over 100 rushing yards in all three of their games this season, averaging 152.7 rushing yards allowed – which ranks 29th in the NFL. They've given up a total of 458 rushing yards on 85 carries."
So, with that being said and a make shift, patch work Offensive line tha can't pass block and a QB that holds the ball way too long, look for Stefanski to throw the ball 46 times.

Sad but true. Hard to run out of the gun. And unfortunately, DW falls off even more under center. But on the bright side, if DW stinks again this week, there will be major pressure for a shake up at QB. DW has had 10X the excuses that Baker had made for him.
