Watson has to go before the next game. He will suffer in the browns house playing like that… the fans will be ruthless.

He looked godawful but then put together a competent second half.
Pretty much a worst-case scenario considering we still lost.

A competent second half would have included tying it up on the last trip to the red zone, but we had to kick the FG.

Happy for another loss. Hoping that trend continues until a bunch of people lose their jobs or the owner sells/moves the team.

Would have been nice to at least see him get a chance, but thanks to 2 penalties that killed the drive we didn't really get to see what would have happened with Watson. I'm over Jed Wills and the offensive line outside of Bitonio. They can all go.

They will NEVER bench Watson.
The front office will never admit that they made the worst trade in the history of organized sports.
We will have Watson as our QB1 until he gets hurt. And there is no chance that isn’t the case.

Jim Schwartz will be our head coach by midnight. I will bet you everything I have that this doesn’t happen. Plus, Schwartz’s defense is a freaking joke. If anything, the fear of losing Schwartz to another team for a head coaching job has diminished to zero chance. His defense went from #1 to the worst with the SAME PLAYERS. This team, top to bottom, is broken.

I want Watson benched as much as the next guy, but I'd be lying if I thought he was the biggest (or even top 5) reasons we lost. Our offense is a top-to-bottom mess, and our defense gives other teams exactly what they need to win. We had tons of people (including myself) saying that the D was good for a few wins by themselves... how do we feel about that now?
Watson is a huge problem, but far from the only problem.

These two teams are mirror images of each other.Poorly coached, neither knows how to win.the difference is Philly has a better QB and skill players.
Indecision may,or maynot,be my problem

Yep, and we trade some players, namely Cooper, and perhaps get some mid round draft capital. I think we can "blow it up" and be better than we are this year. But we need to get guys that want to play. Not guys who give up. Get a coach who will not put up with that bush league crap I see on a weekly basis.

I legitimately feel bad for most of the players and the entire fan base. The Browns organization though deserves every single bit of this failure, every single loss and every single second of its aftermath.

Make Vrabel the interim head coach. And Berry has to go. I am suspicious of why he sent Baker packing after the made they play hurt with that brace on his shoulder. It was the worst trade of all time, and they never even needed to do it because we had a franchise QB.

- The Browns are a bad NFL organization.
- The offense manages to get worse each week. They scored 9 points against the 27th ranked defense.
- The offense is poorly coached and undisciplined. Penalties continue to kill drives.
- The 3rd and 1 sweep to Tillman play call was comically bad. Brandon Graham pointed it out before the ball was even snapped. It killed the drive after the offense was moving the ball.
- The Browns finally converted a 3rd down after having gone 0-27 on 3rd down with Watson at QB. This is like 2000 season when the Browns were led by Spergeon Wynn and Doug Pederson.
- Cooper is completely mentality checked out from this team and this season.
- Rodney McCleod has scored the same amount of TDs as Cooper and more than any other offensive player.
- The Eagles are poorly coached team. Sirianni will be canned at some point.
- Myles Garrett had another incredible FG block and had played a heck of a game on defense.
- Emerson and Newsome both beat deep by AJ Brown when they really needed a stop.
- The defense gave up only 20 points which should be enough to win in the NFL in 2024.
- I suspect no changes will be made and Kev will say, "We own it. I have to be better. We have to play better. We will be better."

Tough Positive Supportive Charismatic He’s a leader in his own special way but for those who like him it works perfectly. For $30m it’s a steal and you must just admire the Bucs FO who kept the numbers down so they could keep Goodwin and Evans.

The jet sweep to Tillman was one of the worst displays of offensive football I've ever seen
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Players, especially defensive players, would never quit on a guy like Vrabel. Stefanski has lost the team. Berry has bungled the roster.they will be lucky to win 5 games this year. And we are stuck with Watson for the next two years.

another alarming thing to me: guys who we once thought were solid, young players in the secondary have really fallen off

There’s going to be two trains of thought . First, we have talent but are poorly coached, second, we don’t have talent but have a good coaching staff. I’m in the third. We don’t have either. Berry is the worst gm since kokinis. But this coaching staff haven’t made a single player they get better. He’ll most of the FA or trades come here and do worse. I think it’s time to clean house. Anyone blaming Watson for today is exactly what I have called. Hate regardless. Nvm with atrocious playcalling and the horrid oline and receiver play or the penalties. Sorry when your qb is averaging 5 sacks a game there’s bigger issues. Is Watson good right now? No but he’s not the biggest issue. The whole offensive side of the ball is an abortion. He’s just a product of everything else. Even the announcers today said it sounds like the players are tuning KS out and he needs to find another way to reach them. I think it’s time to blow it up. They are 5 years in. That’s plenty of time to build a winner. Look at TB after losing Brady and Arians, or Washington getting rid of everyone top to bottom. Gone are the days of needing 3 years to know if you have the right staff

Houston is 5-1. Tampa Bay is 4-2 and Baker threw 4 td’s today.
Baker has thrown more td’s (almost double) than the browns have as a team.
Who in the heck is responsible for this?
We’re not Dallas, Baltimore, or Frisco. We’ve been put through the wringer too much as a fan base to be relegated back to a 1-5 team.
This is bullshttuf pure and simple.

As it stands every attempt to make changes is handicapped by financial restrictions and if we’re honest do you really trust him becoming so much better that he’s worth his enormous salary.

If he’s playing like he was in Houston he’s worth every penny. I have never seen a play fall to this level in nfl history after many years of good numbers and a career rating over 100. That’s why I believe there’s bigger issues and I think it starts with coaching and our scheme. But I don’t see another player on our offense that would start for another top 15 team. That’s a problem

Pierre Strong made our O looked better, I’ve said it before: he’s better than Ford and should get more touches. And now he will.
He had a nice game but unfortunately brain transplants aren’t a thing yet, so we have OL taking very stupid pre-snap penalties. Wills is playing himself out of a nice hefty contract.
Watson had a good second half, we could have tied the game late but consecutive false starts killed that chance.
Speaking of dead, our playoff chances are now that, unless we win 10 straight.
Stefanski again got cute on that fourth down play, with the handoff to Tillman, who by the way continues to do nothing. But why didn’t we have someone to block their guy at the line?

I don’t think we can say Watson had a good second half. The offense scored exactly three field goals today. He played a little better in the second half, and he sure didn’t have any help. But he still wasn’t very good.

Far fewer posts than normally expected as the apathy continues to grow. The offense/scheme is putrid while a good defense sags under it's influence. This team has so many issues that cannot be fixed overnight unless some unforseen, drastic event occurs. As lampdogg pointed out we need to go undefeated....this simply won't happen. If we can't win our next two games, then we may as well aim for the #1 pick. I know that's a terrible attitude, but let's face reality.

I'm ready to aim for the #1 pick already, however I also am afraid that we wouldn't take a QB and will ride with Watson next year. The thought of doing that is nauseating

Let me join the Watson blame game!!.. NOT!!.. Stefankski calls some of the worse plays ever.. we are running the ball effectively today but of course, we do jet sweeps with a slow WR, come out 4 or 5 wide inside the 10 yard line, Oline jumps multiple times inside the 10yard line and its all WATSON's fault. The Watson is not playing at a high level, but the entire offense is not doing squat!!.. Oline is a mess. WRs drops, and scream about everything else... Kevin had a run game going and he still wanted to throw the ball all day...
The entire offense is crap and you think Nick Chubb will save us!!

At this point in time, no one can help dw. he can't read a d, he wants to run after 2 or so seconds. He runs himself into too many sacks, etc.

Despite what others are saying, he is a major reason this offense is inept. It's not somebody else's fault he's playing like crap.

Ravens put up 30 points, Steelers put up 30 points, Browns Offense, 9 points.
After 6 weeks, the Browns have still not scored more than 20 points. Yea, let's just keep things the same and "do better as players and coaches". No need for any changes. Everything is working well.

He’s not helped by a porous, banged up O-line that doesn’t provide him with anything close to decent, consistent protection. yeah he is obviously a big part of the problem, but the O looked a lot better once we started running the ball better in the second half. By “we” I mostly mean Pierre Strong.

I feel there is enough video evidence of dw not being able to read a d, not being able to throw a rec. open, not knowing where to go with the ball, and holding the ball way too long. Does a drop hurt? Absolutely. Perhaps the marginally open rec. is surprised by getting a pass? If dw were half a qb, our team would look entirely different.

I'm kind of at a loss for words ... look at the teams we've played:
- Got destroyed by Dallas (who is getting destroyed by most everyone else) - Nipped Jacksonville (who SUCKS) - Lost to the Giants at home - Lost to the Raiders who were a mash unit - Lost to the Commanders who are very good but still have a rookie QB - Lost to the Eagles who seem to be very dysfunctional
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I think that Browns fans who have already paid for their home game seats and still go to the games, are no different right now than the Browns playing Watson because the money is already gone.
I said what I said.

If I were purposely trying to sabotage and sink this team, I couldn't have done worse than the people who are supposedly trying to make it a winner. Think about that..... Oh, and the Steeler's keep winning.....

j/c
Far fewer posts than normally expected as the apathy continues to grow. The offense/scheme is putrid while a good defense sags under it's influence. This team has so many issues that cannot be fixed overnight unless some unforseen, drastic event occurs. As lampdogg pointed out we need to go undefeated....this simply won't happen. If we can't win our next two games, then we may as well aim for the #1 pick. I know that's a terrible attitude, but let's face reality. j/c

It's just rinse and repeat week after week. I have run out of different ways to express my feelings on the matter and am not in the habit of repeating myself over and over. I care about the Browns but in an odd way, I don't care about this situation anymore. It is what it is.

Sounds like heaven from where I sit, Mom. A list of who seven MIGHT beat would include. . . . .
Notice I did not phrase that as SHOULD beat; those have already let us take our losses. We have at least two in the secondary killing us consistently.
Wanted to check: Did that better coaching KS keeps mentioning kick in after yet another loss? Did the play change? Can we send Zinter back? When tanking becomes a desirable strategic option, with a clever and sexy cachet about it to recommend it, especially to individuals obsessed with being the smartest wise guys in the room, it is the bottom. We are wasting opportunities every week. I am feeling cheated. I was optimistic, but I am over that now.

WITHOUT changes after any of the blame-taking. Popped into my head today with drops and flags, it was Zinter's in the red zone. I heard the words to that popular party song in my head, I believe it was called The Limbo Song or Limbo Rock or somesuch. The lyric I heard asked, "How low can you go?" I thought that certainly we should be there by now, or closer at least. Sadly, I had no answer. The bar keeps dropping, and tanking is attractive to formerly optimistic fans. Scariest wrinkle followed: How do you know when you are done? What does that look like? Stay tuned, Browns fans, as you bend over backwards in limbo.

My impression of the whole year has been a lack of intensity. As a team, No enthusiasm, No Hustle, No concentration, No intensity. Every team, including the Jaguars have shown a greater sense of intensity than the Browns.

After 6 weeks, the Browns have still not scored more than 20 points. Yea, let's just keep things the same and "do better as players and coaches". No need for any changes. Everything is working well. Those who advocating for keeping Andrew Berry and to a lesser extent Kevin Stefanski need to give this a second thought. The Watson/Stefanski/Dorsey’s scoring record so far in 2024 isn’t even bad, it’s indefensible and if we’re honest this’s sackable numbers on almost every metric. At some point the organization can’t continue to have a HC saying “we have to do better “ or “that’s on me” game after game. Either the players aren’t good enough and then Berry has to be hold accountable or our HC and his staff don’t know what they’re doing and then they must be hold accountable.

I'm not excited at all about the possibility of Chubb coming back next week. And for me personally, as much as I love watching that man run.....is rock bottom as a Browns fan. Save Chubb for another year. Let him heal completely - why risk coming back too soon for the hot garbage that is Browns Football 2024? As to Post Game Rant in general? It was, is and has been god-awful. I fully blame Haslam, Berry and Stefanski for the players we have on the roster, how they perform, how they (fail to) execute, their level of preparedness and their attitude/effort. Only 2 of those three individuals are replaceable. Hopefully someone somewhere is doing due diligence to have replacements identified for interview at the end of the season. Thank goodness for the Guardians playing into October.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Every team, including the Jaguars have shown a greater sense of intensity than the Browns. And it's been this way since July. It pains me to watch other teams have much more effort, hunger, preparedness, discipline. We are literally the worst team IMO

I am just worn down by the Browns.
Mentally drained. Of course this season is over. I have little interest other than watching Nick's return.
This is the worst case scenario. I don't have the time to waste watching bad football.
The interest left is like watching a train wreck. The season will end and decisions will follow.
Until the draft in April my interest will be on the quarterbacks entering the draft.
I have no interest in watching Watson. The offense is unwatchable.
I can only hope that the Browns will find a quarterback I want to watch.
Until then Sports are off the table till baseball returns.
I am all about the Guardians right now.

Overall, this team is a mess. I know lots of folks want to blame Watson for everything.. He's not to blame for everything, He certainly shares in the blame..But the Oline, Receivers, the D, Injuries and the coaching, damn, What a mess.

How could we possibly go from what we had last season to this? It's actually only been 8 months. Ridiculous and incredible how we've fallen so fast....

Thanks Floquino.
I know I have been harsh at times.
I have strong opinions on what I see. Right now I am worn down. Feel like a rock in fast water.
I want to root for something. Right now I don't feel that. We have some players who are outstanding but we are not a team.
We cannot score. The defense is on the field all day. Myles is an amazing talent. I love JOK. But you cannot play defense if the offense is continuously going three and out. The offense is like a deep scratch in a vinyl record. Third and long --Done.
A quarterback has to be able to lead. I have not seen DW score a touchdown with the game on the line late. Trail late when a TD can win the game. Go down the field. Score a TD and win the game.
If a quarterback cannot do that. I have no interest in the guy. Add DW the person and I have no interest.
I loved Baker. I wanted to work so bad in Cleveland. But it reached a point where I understood the need to take the risk. Gambles can fail. When you roll the dice you have to accept that.
Until the Browns find a quarterback that I can believe in. My interest is minimal.

Winston gives the team the best chance to win games.
Eventually he will start.
When the team is mathematically eliminated. I would start DTR,
I see some things in him. I like his poise and confidence. He knows how to play. I would like to see if he can do it with consistency.
He deserves a chance. If he gets exposed and warts appear. So be it. We do not know what he will do until he gets a real chance.
In the end we must draft a quarterback. A process we have continually failed at. However, you have to keep trying until you get it right.
As much as I hate losing. We would be better off. The higher the pick the better the odds.

Is there any QB in the college game that touts highly right now? I have only heard names, but nothing more specific.
Getting a top 5 pick is the only glimmer of hope that we have

We had tons of people (including myself) saying that the D was good for a few wins by themselves... how do we feel about that now? The D gave up 20 points to Philly. That should have been good enough for a win. Watson is a huge problem, but far from the only problem. That's true if you isolate it to yesterdays game.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I agree about having to draft a QB unless we play DTR and he turns into an elite QB. Maybe we should draft a QB in the first 3 -4 rounds to increase our chances for success!

Our D played well enough to win 5 out of the 6 games. Only the Washington game was a poor showing. In fairness the D has been on the field much more than they should be because our O is so inept. They're pretty much gassed in the 3rd quarter.

At some point the organization can’t continue to have a HC saying “we have to do better “ or “that’s on me” game after game. I guess the better option would be him coming out and unloading on everyone that played like crap. Pointing fingers at others and even further dividing the team. I'm not quite sure what the hell people expect him to say.

I actually think there are two games where the D fell flat. I agree with you about the Washington game but I would have to add giving up 33 points to the Cowboys on the list.
But I'm not really sure why posters would be so down on the D outside of those 2 games. They only gave up 13 to the Jags, 21 to the Giants, 20 to the Raiders and 20 to the Eagles.
When your D is holding your opponents to 21 points or less you should be winning games. And you make a very valid point about TOP placing them on the field much longer than they should be.
Our O put 9 points on the board yesterday. I'm certainly not blaming that all on watson. But at what point does the fact that players have lost faith in their leader impact the rest of the team?
I know people will say things like they're professionals and have to answer for themselves. That they're getting paid to perform and that's no excuse. And I really don't disagree with them on a factual basis. But sadly that's just not the way things work. Once people lose faith in their leader it impacts everyone. As an example you look at Cooper's career season by season He has been a great WR. He didn't forget how to create separation in his route running in one off season. He didn't forget how to catch the ball in one off season. We have the exact same HC he's been playing for. The same thing goes for many players on the roster.

Starting today I am going to study the top QB prospects.
I have watched two guys so far but only limited tape. Garrett Nussmeier and Jalen Milroe.
I know the trend is looking at the athletic mobile guys who can run as dual threat.
My preference is a guy who can win from the pocket and be athletic enough to scramble for a first down when needed.
I believe you have to win from the pocket. You have to see it and then deliver it on time accurately.
The quarterback who is faced with third and long and sees nobody open. And then can tuck it and run for a first down that kills defenses.
But on a regular basis you have to win from the pocket. Rodgers, Mahomes, Steve Young types are ideal.
I like studying quarterback prospects. I wish they would let me pick the guy.
I have not always been right but I have been better than what the Browns have drafted.

Thank goodness for the Guardians playing into October. Save Chubb? Yes. Thank goodness for the Cleveland baseball team? Yes. The Browns being led by Haslam doing due diligence? Hell no. This guy is CLUELESS. He knows ZERO about hiring FOOTBALL people. His organizational structure is GARBAGE. If hear the word collaborative one more time, I think I might put my head thru a wall. There are WAY too many people participating in making FOOTBALL decisions that have NO clue about FOOTBALL. Haslam, DePo, the OVER EMPHASIS of analytics, etc. might be a good way to run a business in the real world but they CLEARLY are failing when it comes to running an NFL FRANCHISE. THE MODEL IS WRONG JIMMY! Please talk to someone who has RELEVANT NFL EXPERIENCE to help you RESTRUCTURE this FOOTBALL organization going forward. The key to being a successful leader is understanding WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW and surrounding yourself with people WHO DO KNOW. The sooner this is done, the sooner the Browns will be able to field a competitive NFL TEAM on Sundays. If you keep doing the same things you have done up to this point, NOTHING will change. NOTHING. Get that thru your head already. Please do NOT be another JERRY JONES. Please. SMH
After 55 years, I'm walking away from this dumpster fire. Good luck to everyone who continues to hang on. You'll need it.

Pit, the reason why I think our D played decent in the Dallas game is our ST's gave up a TD and our D only allowed 265 yards to them. Our O couldn't move the ball and the D was out there too long.

lol, no, thats true if you look at any of the games. This offense is broken. The oline has given up 31 sacks.. in 6 games....majority of teams don't give that up in a season. The browns record was 66 in 2016, we are on pace to smash that. Another stat from that year.. we were 1-15 That sounds quite damning if you don't distinguish which sacks the OL gave up and which sacks were the fault of DW. When your QB holds the ball too long, that's not the fault of the OL. When your QB leaves the pocket too early and runs into a sack, that sack isn't the fault of the OL. When your QB doesn't throw the ball away and instead takes the sack, that sack isn't the fault of the OL. Now I don't want you to misunderstand what I'm saying here. This OL is not playing good. They certainly share in some of the responsibility. The penalties alone bug the hell out of me. But just throwing up a stat with no context isn't telling the story. We both know that if a WR tips a ball he should have caught or a WR let's the ball go through his hands or he allows the ball to bounce off his body and those balls are intercepted, that interception is attributed to the QB. We also know that interception wasn't the fault of the QB. But no matter whether those interceptions are the fault of the WR or the fault of the QB, they show up as interceptions on the QB's stat sheet. I haven't broken down how many sacks were the fault of the OL or how many were the fault of DW. But I've certainly seen sacks that were not the fault of the OL. Those sacks have a shared responsibility that aren't all on the OL or all on DW.

Crazy Theory:
They never played the starters in preseason because they knew what we'd see and they'd have been three weeks further into the outrage and plummeting ticket sales.

There was a time yesterday when it seemed like the Eagles had been on the field for 50 plays and we had been on the field for 5. I know it wasn't that stark, but it was very apparent
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

The really odd part about that is the TOP. The Browns actually led in the TOP 31:27 to the Eagles 28:33. https://www.espn.com/nfl/matchup/_/gameId/401671714
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

How could we possibly go from what we had last season to this? It's actually only been 8 months. Ridiculous and incredible how we've fallen so fast.... The reason I'm not putting this all on Watson, is that last year we went through what, a million QBs? and ended up in the playoffs. This team can't get out of it's own way.

Big plays do that Definitely crazy, but I think it's easy to see when you look at the play-by-play and see things like us having a 5+ minute drive to move the ball 20 yards and punt.

I will always remember the infamous poster who had the mantra that stats are for losers. This is yet another perfect example of that.

We had tons of people (including myself) saying that the D was good for a few wins by themselves... how do we feel about that now? The D gave up 20 points to Philly. That should have been good enough for a win. Watson is a huge problem, but far from the only problem. That's true if you isolate it to yesterdays game. lol, no, thats true if you look at any of the games. This offense is broken. The oline has given up 31 sacks.. in 6 games....majority of teams don't give that up in a season. The browns record was 66 in 2016, we are on pace to smash that. Another stat from that year.. we were 1-15 I did think, overall, the offensive line probably had its best game so far. The way they finished that last drive definitely took a bit of the shine off, but I felt like we were able to run the ball better than any point this year so far. Pierre Strong had some good runs as the line opened up some holes for him.

This is DW's third season as a Brown - he has been trash in EVERY SEASON. with a different "excuse" every season. He is what he is. He can't read a D. He misses open receivers. He holds the ball too long ... sometimes he escapes and does something positive as he dances around holding the ball like a loaf of bread ..... but the other 50% of the time he takes a sack by running into trouble. We've got a body of work to look at - and regardless of the season or the excuse the results are consistent. DW is way way below average for an NFL QB.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Just wondering if our running game looks the same on sunday if Jerome Ford stays in the game . I am not a fan of Ford's. In fact if you take away Chubb I don't think our running back room is good .

IMO Strong is our 2nd best back behind Chubb. Foreman is painfully slow and upright and Ford leaves a ton of yards on the field.
Add RB to the list of upgrades needed

The same thing goes for many players on the roster. its funny you give cooper that excuse but Watson doesn't get the same. He was a top 3 QB, completing 70% of his passes and had a 103 career rating before coming here His last year in HOU was a 112 rtg, 5k yards, and 33 tds.. so He just forgot how to play QB in a year? He was doing well before he got hurt last year as well. Last year, Cooper was at the bottom of the league in separation. He's getting old for a WR, so no, he didn't get bad overnight, but he's been getting older every year. If you look at his career, he has 2 good years then he usually has 1 or 2 down years.. this may be his down year. Bottom line is everything about this offense is complete 180 from last year and it results on the field look like it. The team is 1-5, its more a product of losing faith in the season than any one person thats causing people to go through the motions and not care.

Ford is barely above not good, at best.

Well, we've not managed must football thus far. But no worries! We have plenty more where this has come from, we have practiced well, no changes are forthcoming, results are guaranteed, blame has been taken, we have repeated reassurances that coaching must improve despite identical mistakes repeating week after week. I drank my kool-aid so I can participate in the lie that this team is gifted, viable, competitive, and fired up! Just see how analytics worship has paid off. So obvious, if you don't address it, then it isn't a problem! No flag, no foul after all. You can't find this sense of organization just anywhere, Dawgs. But it has made its home in The Land, and it's comfortable. Look at all the continuity we have managed this season alone. Management and ownership refuse to take credit from one another, admirably so, as far as claiming success. I am excited for Halloween to come to our Punkin Patch soon; we have been practicing, handing out wins, almost every week in fact. Emerson and Newsome have been team leaders in generosity, but are hardly alone. We are professionals, so we won't get all emotional about our record as such. I dream of the end of the Watson era in Cleveland, which may coincide with a once-storied franchise's passing. We will order a headstone for posterity: "We battled." For us, that was enough.

Cooper hasn't been showing the same propensity for the last three seasons. It hasn't been since 2020 that Cooper put together a solid season. Cooper didn't sit out for an entire season and then have two seasons in a row where he could only play a hand full of games. Then follow that up with a third season where he looks just as lost or even more lost than he did in the previous 2 seasons. He just forgot how to play QB in a year? 2020 wasn't a year ago. Yes, he had one really decent game before he was hurt last season. Out of 18 games he has played as a Brown he played 1 really good one. In normal circles that's called an anomaly or a fluke. But if that's all you have to hang your hat on.....

Until this franchise gets a real GM that knows how to Draft and a actual franchise QB then a occasional playoff Appearance is the best it will ever achieve Last year showed the Browns were pretenders after the Texans Stomped them in the playoffs Now the team is paying the sins for making the worst trade In NFL history in the last 30 years

Our problem is that it's always something.
We had a "real" GM here when we had Dorsey... but he brought in Kitchens and apparently decided to die on that hill... so now he's no longer here.

Dorsey would have corrected that mistake. At the time, EVERYONE wanted him as HC because he came off an awesome season of playcalling and had a very good relationship with Baker. It didn't work out, doesn't mean it wasn't the best gamble at the time. So they let him go, so he goes to Detroit and helps build another super bowl contender, which has done everywhere he's gone, but no, we went for Berry who hasn't done anything anywhere. Which was another Depo call.

He's not the GM in Detroit, just like Depo isn't the GM here.
And I think you give him too much credit in terms of selecting a coach. I don't believe he's ever done that before Cleveland.

Let me clarify/add to what I'm saying in these last couple posts.
IMO, Cleveland's issue is that they haven't ever been able to put together the whole package. So from that perspective, Dorsey is just as responsible for how his tenure went as Berry is for his.

And I think you give him too much credit in terms of selecting a coach. I don't believe he's ever done that before Cleveland. He's not the GM but he's been given majority of the credit because he is basically in charge of the personnel. So based on what you say then Dorsey didn't hire kitchens, which is everyone's go to about why he isn't here. He may not have hired directly, but he was a big part of why reid went to KC, that and Clark Hunt. Funny story also, Back in 2017, He picked Mahommes over watson and got criticized quite a bit for it. Bottom line is he is much better and more qualified as a team builder.. Yes he is responsible for his time.. which led to building a playoff roster and added quite a few core players. Berry has not. Add in some of the dumb contracts he's done and all the drama surrounding players under him and stefanski

Reading htis board is odd sometimes. Depo who is not the GM here gets the blame for the Browns woes and Dorsey who is not the GM in KC gets the credit for their success.
I wonder why these owners even bother hiring and paying GM's?
