Jaxson Dart isn’t one to wait around. The Ole Miss Rebels’ QB1 has made it abundantly clear—he wants to be a Day 1 starter in the NFL, not a clipboard holder learning from the sidelines. That’s a bold stance for any rookie, especially in a class with blue-chip quarterback prospects Quinn Ewers, and Jalen Milroe ahead of him. Yet, despite his strong numbers and flashes of brilliance at the Senior Bowl, where he showcased a mix of poised throws and a rushing touchdown, some doubters have thrown him in “QB3” territory. And as one AFC scout put it, teams shouldn’t be viewing him as a first-rounder just yet. Now a $230 million man could feel his wrath.
The Athletic's, Dane Brugler, released his Top 100 Big Board today.
Some notable player rankings on his board:
#1 - Travis Hunter - CB/WR #2 - Abdul Carter - Edge #3 - Jalon Walker - Edge #4 - Mason Graham - DT #5 - Ashton Jeanty - RB
#15 - Cam Ward - QB #25 - Shadeur Sanders - QB
#28 - Nick Emmanwori - S #29 - Walter Nolan - DT #31 - Josh Conley Jr - OT #34 - Donovan Jackson - OT #35 - Kalen Johnson - RB #36 - Omarion Hampton - RB
Also, if you watch Ward, he never has pressure before 3 seconds. I don't think I saw more than 4 throws by Ward before 3 seconds.
Meanwhile, the average pocket time in the NFL is about 2.4 seconds. Burrow had a measly 2.2 seconds and Jaylen Hurts had the most time with 2.7 seconds.
Therein lies one of the differences between us. Trust is something I consider needs to be earned, not given. This owner and FO hasn't accomplished the things it would take to earn my trust.
There is however always hope. I do still have hope left.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
I've asked this before and I don't remember a consensus answer.
Is Trevor Lawrence any good?
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
From what I've seen of his play which is limited at best, he seems to run hot and cold. On his good days he looks good but on his bad days he looks really bad. The thing is I haven't looked into it deep enough to say why that is. There are a number of variables that can impact a QB's play and I certainly couldn't tell you what those variables are in his case.

Was DeShaun Watson any good?
The present and future are a lot harder to determine than the past. In the right situation, Lawrence could probably be pretty good. Under the wrong circumstances, things could get pretty ugly. If Pittsburgh gave up what it'd probably take to get him, I'd lean towards ugly unless that OL gets a lot better and they add a WR that is reliable
But, the OL getting better despite retaining the OL coach that most I read wanted rid of, and hitting on a WR later in the draft wouldn't entirely surprise me.
That trade could set off some interesting dominoes. Jags grabbing Levis from Tennessee on the cheap (Re-uniting Coen with his QB at Kentucky) setting the table for the Titans to definitely go QB at one, while also likely kicking loose Russ and Fields.
Will be interesting to see which QBs end up where when the music stops this offseason. Could be a decent bit of Vet movement, new places or a complete changing of the guard (as "Guys" perhaps hang up the cleats) remains to be seen.
You mess with the "Bull," you get the horns. Fiercely Independent.
....how long does it take HGH to get out of your system, and is there a type that specifically works on hands? lol
I still like a lot about Milroe. But, if tiny hands are a big part of the problems, that could be a "fatal flaw." I think he can do everything he needs to, but if the hands cause consistency to be an issue, I don't know.
I might have to kick around the idea of Quinn Ewers again. He's kind of the forgotten man at QB this draft it seems to me. Could see the value proposition making sense as a Kirk Cousins like draft choice with, perhaps, that potential upside.
And I'm back going over Cam Ward. Bleh, I hate needing a QB. (Bleh, trying to decipher QB play from broadcast angles and random 2nd/3rd/whatever hand "behind the scenes" reports more than Ward specifically.)

One team that I think could be a real candidate to trade for Myles is Dallas.
Myles would love to play there. Jerry Jones is the type of owner GM who would make a move like this. He has a quarterback. Parsons wants to play with Myles and would give up money (so he says).
Myles would give the Cowboys a huge upgrade to compete against the Eagles and Commanders. Mr. Jones has to make a move if he plans to win. They have to have a weapon on defense.
Dallas picks 12th in the first round. If we get two first rounders that is a good spot this year.
We could take Carter and two and Dart at twelve. Or, a quarterback at two and Jeanty at 12 or BPA.
We could come out the first round with two real impact players.
With pick 33 in the second the Browns should be able to land another starter. That is a good start to revitilaize this roster.
Bone I’ve thought of this scenario too. Jerry Needs to make a splash especially with Philly winning the Superbowl and Washington on the rise. Also, we’ve made draft day trades with him before one involving us moving up to draft Brady Quinn. This move would make sense for both teams. I would ask for Dallas’s one this year and next and a 2 this year or next.
Jerry cannot help himself. He is like those who love jewelry. Myles is a sparkling diamond that he would want bad.
Honestly, it would be a good move for them. He would be worth two ones straight up. If you get more that is even better.
Pick twelve is a good pick this year. There will be great options.
Plus I like that we could go different directions with that pick depending on what we did at two.
If Myles is dug in and Berry believes he is willing to hold out. What is the point of keeping him?
If the end result is that he leaves Cleveland. Make the best deal.
The problem is that any trade would result in accelerating his cap hit which would practically guarantee tearing things down to the studs to get cap compliant. Pushing money into the future only works when the players stay on the team. Myles is almost literally untradable because we managed his contract thinking there was no way we were letting him go. Having the money we spread out hit now would make a losing season almost inevitable. I don't see Berry as the slit his own throat type. I also don't think Haslam is willing to go through another full tear down.

First we get a vet in FA. My choice is Derek Carr. then we trade down, stockpile some picks and get a developmental QB.
If we could get Trevor Lawrence, and I don’t know why the Jags would trade him but I’d take him right now, then everything is out the window. We will know more when free agency hits, and go from there. Until that begins, nothing really matters unless a blockbuster trade takes place. It’s all just yakkity-yak.

It would be a tough ask. Teams aren't keen on giving up both a 1st and 2nd in the same draft. I don't know what other compensation would be due, if any, after the two 1st rounders...if anything it would probably have to be a 3rd rounder, or possibly a decent player. Not a star, a decent player.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
Bone, any QB we take at #2 isn't going to be ready to play. It's not like last season's group of QB's. I said before if we stay at 2 take Carter or Hunter. I prefer Carter if he's there but that's just my opinion. IF we trade down and get more picks then yes take a flyer on a QB whomever that may be. JMO
Drafting a QB at two this year would be a waste of the pick imo. And I’m not interested in all the primetime drama that might come with it. Even a blind squirrel luck is not a browns trait when it comes to selecting QBs. We did this to ourselves and need to learn from it, not repeat the same mistakes we’ve made for years. Can’t remember who the 3rd(?) rounder was we picked back when we brought in Hoyer to be the bridge, but I feel like this years QB class is that guy at the top of the draft. There maybe a diamond in the rough out there, but I damn sure don’t see them.
If we can get Cousins reasonably, a draft starting Hunter, Conerly, Henderson/BPA, Ewers is sounding pretty good at the moment. Of course, every one of those names could go earlier than our picks.

My fear is that the Steelers draft him at 21, and he turns into Ben II.
I hate this draft because I want so badly to take a quarterback at two.
Ward and Sanders are both legitimate prospects. There is potential there. Maybe we get one and it works out.
There is no way to tell. Sanders has played at a high level and he knows how to play quarterback. Those are big time traits.
Ward has lots of Wow factor. However, I see holes in both players. That is common and some guys develop. Others don't.
Dart interests me because he does everything well and I like his character a lot. There are plays that are head scratchers. But who in college does not have those plays.
I would love to hear what KS and Tommy Rees think about the quarterbacks.
