I was listening to my most recent favorite song and I thought this might be an interesting thread. I could use some more music on my ipod. My most recent favorite song is Still Cleaning this gun by Rodney Atkins.

My favorite would have to be 'Go Your Own Way' by Fleetwood Mac.

No sure of a favorite all time song, but if I had to choose one it would probably be Breath by Breaking Benjamin. My favorite song recently has been Civilian Soldier by 3 Doors Down.

I started looking up songs from the 80's last week and I have been listening to Use Your Love by Outfield alot lately.

I was kind of shocked about all the good songs I have forgotten about.

Probably impossible to answer......I have been listening to Alan Jackson of late...."Mercury Blues" might be a perfect country song.

Catchy tune, twangy, good instrumentals.

"Don't Rock the Jukebox" is another that brings out the best in country.

Impossible to answer is correct.

However - for me, my favorite songs would be 90% of Kenny Chesney's songs,

Don't Stop Believing - Journey
Baba O'Reilly - Who (I think that's the name - regardless, I like it,)

8th of November - Big and Rich
Holy Water - Big and Rich
Hurt - Johnny Cash
The Rising - Bruce Springsteen

Oh, geez - it really is impossible.

Shoot Arch.....never figured you ever coming close to country music.

B&R aren't that country IMO...and I don't like Kenny too much.....but you have the "Man in Black" listed....huge Cash fan for 40 years(don't like to type 50 years...that scares me;))

I guess if you like country, you can't half bad!!

95% of what I listen to is country. Kenny, Cash (I like alot of his songs - just that "hurt" kinda gets me right now), Big and Rich, Brooks and Dunn, Toby Keith.......I'll stop now cause other wise this post would be too long.

I will say, I like the "newer" country. I'm not big on Haggard, Nelson, etc..... I'm just an "up north" country boy that likes coiuntry music, mud, guns, and space to play. Probably ought to throw conservative in there, as well.

Used to do the rock thing, in high school, then got into rap for a while, but my wife showed me the way into "country" with Alabama, and that's mostly what I enjoy now.

No man.....music is what moves you......sooner or later you will like country though....I have liked it all along, but most people move towards it once they hit 40 or so...the stuff you like now will be replaced by stuff you don't sooner or later...country fills the void.....if that makes sense.

Allison is wonderful.

Union Station plays here at least once a year at a 2000 seat theater...I have seen her 4-5 times.....good stuff.

Paisley...a great guitar player...somehow country players don't get much credit for their playing.....Vince Gill is finally getting some recognition for his guitar skills having played Claptons festival several times.

I was just messin' around. I can tolerate the music. Whatever you like is your choice. My mom listens to country. While I'm not in the car with her much, I don't have a problem with her listening to it. There's a couple genres that I really don't care for at all and rather just turn the radio off, though.

As far as country, Bob Dylan's "Nashville Skyline" album has always had a place in my heart...him and Cash together still gives me chills.
