It seems that MAGA is having a difficult time believing all of the claims, such as those listed above...

Jeffrey Epstein in Tapes Released by Michael Wolff: 'I Was Donald's Closest Friend'

Story by Bibhu Pattnaik

Recently surfaced recordings reveal that Jeffrey Epstein claimed to be a close friend of President Donald Trump.

What Happened: These statements, made in 2017, offer insights into Epstein’s relationship with Trump and his alleged intimate knowledge of Trump’s sexual behaviors.

During the conversation with Michael Wolff, Epstein boasted about his close ties with Trump, even claiming that Trump’s first sexual encounter with his current wife Melania occurred on Epstein’s aircraft, reports The Daily Beast.

Recorded during the interview, these tapes are expected to reignite discussions about the character of the Republican candidate, especially his attitudes towards women, in the lead-up to the forthcoming election.

The tapes portray a multifaceted image of Trump, with Epstein describing him as “charming” and “fun”, while also alleging that Trump repeatedly cheated in his marriages.

Epstein suggested that Trump took pleasure in engaging in sexual activities with the wives of his closest friends. He further insinuated that Trump was essentially a man devoid of friends, incapable of showing kindness.

When asked by Wolff, "How do you know all this?" Epstein responded saying, "I was Donald's closest friend for 10 years."

Wolff, who was conducting research for his book “Fire and Fury” during the time of the interview, shared the tape with the Daily Beast. He claims to have up to 100 hours of recorded interviews with Epstein.

Trump’s team has dismissed the tapes as “false smears”. The tapes also shed light on the relationship between Epstein and Trump, two affluent men who frequently socialized together in New York and Atlantic City.

The tapes provide Epstein’s viewpoint on their relationship, a relationship that led one man to infamy, prison, and ultimately suicide, and the other to power, the Oval Office, and his own criminal conviction.

The tapes also contain allegations about Trump’s behavior towards women, which are likely to draw attention given their long-standing friendship and the numerous accusations of sexual misconduct against the former president.

Last week, the Justice Department announced that it will not release any more documents related to the case of Epstein. Epstein died by suicide in custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges.

Trump tells those focused on Epstein he doesn't want their support

President Donald Trump on Wednesday trashed many MAGA members, condemning their ongoing push for files related to Jeffrey Epstein and bemoaning that they are playing into Democrats’ hands.

The Democrats’ “new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘BS,’ hook, line, and sinker,” (of course he used the word and not the initials because he is so presidential) Trump posted on his Truth Social account. “Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats' work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”

Trump’s comments underscore the angst on the right over the Justice Department and FBI’s decision to withhold files related to Epstein, the disgraced mega-financier who pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting a minor for prostitution and was facing a slew of federal sex-trafficking charges when he killed himself in jail in 2019.

A Department of Justice memo last week– which ruled out foul play in Epstein’s death and claimed no existence of a “client list” – enraged and divided MAGA world after many in Trump’s orbit, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino, teased big revelations and fanned conspiracy theories.

Conservative influencers including Megyn Kelly, Steve Bannon, and Trump’s daughter-in-law, Laura Trump, have called for more transparency in the case. Speaker Mike Johnson on Tuesday also called for the Department of Justice to release all of its information on Epstein.

Later on Wednesday, when asked during a bilateral meeting in the Oval Office if his post meant he was disavowing his supporters, the president said he had “lost a lot of faith in certain people.”

Trump continued to defend Bondi during the meeting and again downplayed the affair.

“She's done very good,” Trump said. “She says I gave you all the credible information, and if she finds any more credible information, she'll give that too. What more can she do than that?”

Trump’s latest post attempts to link the Epstein case to the investigation into Russian collusion during his first term, a signal that the president hopes supporters will interpret as tying to partisan hoaxes together.

“These Scams and Hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at,” Trump said in his post.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-tells-those-focused-epstein-152751100.html

Of course he blames the democrats for a conspiracy theory his own supporters cooked up in the first place. When his own hand picked AG, Barr launched this investigation in the first place while he was president and admitting it's his own followers that he no longer wants the support of because they are the people raising hell over it.

A very stable genius indeed.

I want to apologize in advance for posting what trump said in advance of any #snowflake who may have gotten their feelings hurt by reading this.

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), the top Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, said Thursday that the Treasury Department has a file on Jeffrey Epstein that could be used "as the foundation for a follow the money investigation" into the sex trafficking case.

"You can't run sex trafficking operation of this size without an enormous amount of money," said Wyden, who has been investigating finances related to Epstein.

My question is: Why hasn't that been done already?

I don't care about any list.
Just because a name is on some list, it proves nothing.

But he was a known pediphile.
This should have been automatic

My response: Nail them, all of them. I don't care who it is. Trump, Biden, Obama, Clinton..............whoever, any hollywood "stars", whoever.

But in reality, what we're dealing with is people in power, and they wield that power. It stinks, I know. Cover ups exist.

My last question is, if Wyden has a file, what's in it, and why has it not been made public?

It seems obvious that there is compromising information contained in that data that would compromise a fair amount of wealthy/political elites. I would not be surprised to find either Trump or Clinton tied closely into that. Trump’s behavior toward all this, especially the whole gaslighting thing about Obama and Biden and whoever else being the ones who made up the list, only implicates him further in my mind. The fact he’s willing to go to war with his rabid base about it raises my eyebrow that much more.

There is an abundance of evidence that both trump and clinton used to hang out with epstein.

That does not mean that either "partook in the frolicking".
But Regardless of who they are (and others), this needs to be thoroughly investigated.
IMO, It's a travesty that it has not been thoroughly invested already

Yeah I agree.

What we do know are this:

1. Epstein was running a horrific sex/pedophile crime ring.

2. Epstein was tied into with a lot of elites.

3. Clinton and Trump are known philanderers who have a penchant for young women.

4. Clinton and Trump used to hang out with Epstein.

5. Trump has done a VERY bizarre 180 on the whole Epstein thing, and has become increasingly combative on the matter, now toward his own base, even.

6. Clinton - to my knowledge - has been silent on the whole controversy.

Those points, combined with the countless other controversies surrounding the whole affair demonstrate that a whole lot more ish needs to come to light on the whole thing.

I agree with those that say they don't care who is on the list. Pedophiles should be exposed regardless. What I do know is who claimed they had the list that is now refusing to provide that list and made up excuses to do so. I also know who is throwing a tantrum about it to the extent they rebuked their own voting base over it.

IMO, it's not all that bizarre. He used the Epstein thing as a tool in his ongoing culture war. Now that he won the election, it's no longer useful and he's trying to make it go away. The problem is that him and several of his own appointees threw too much gas on the fire... and the issue is now self-sustaining.

The hilarious thing is that he's trying to do the same thing he ripped the Dems for doing when they were trying to make it go away. Regardless of the truth behind Epstein connections and his death, I just find it hilarious that Trump is getting burned in a fire he himself stoked.

Maurene Comey, daughter of James Comey and prosecutor of Jeffrey Epstein, is fired

Comey, who had worked in the U.S. attorney’s office for nearly a decade, prosecuted both Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

https://www.politico.com/news/2025/07/16/maurene-comey-fired-doj-00458921

We all know trump hates James Comey. Yet his daughter had thus far not been a target. The timing could be a coincidence but I find it very odd and somewhat suspicious that she was involved with both the Epstein and Maxwell convictions and now, now that the whole Epstein fiasco is blowing up in trump's face, that this is the time they decided to fire her.

While it's certainly just my opinion, it seems the trump revenge tour is still rolling along.

I still find it bizarre and this is why: I agree he oftentimes will take a Trojan horse approach to the maximum level in order to get votes. Other politicians across the spectrum do it as well, but he does it to the Nth degree (build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it, end UKR war in 24 hours, immediately bring down prices, etc.).

When he gets into office and people ask about the campaign promises, he usually hems and haws or walks back all or parts of the promise. More evasive and deflecting than anything else.

On the Epstein stuff, he was straight up combative, defensive and inflammatory. It was like someone touched a nerve.
