It's a fickle crowd. Some, not that I'm naming names here, but they will find a reason to ride his jock strap no matter what he does. Easy camp? "Camp cupcake!"

Tough camp and a lot of players injured? "He should have protected those players more! This isn't the regular season!"

Same as it ever was.

I dont know how Andrew Berry has been able to keep his job .
He inherited a playoff quality roster from Dorsey and now if the Browns happen
To play " toygher" in 2025 that's good enough for them . Most NFL owners would have fired theirs GMs
If they had the draft history Berry has produced .Anthony Schwartz over Ar-mon St. Brown? Jedrick Willis was graded higher than Tristen Wirfs ? Berry has drafted no elite players
In his tenure . You cant win without elite or even difference makers at that .

The Browns have claimed offensive tackle Sebastian Gutierrez off waivers, the team announced Friday.

The 49ers cut him Thursday.

Gutierrez officially is in his first NFL season out of Minot State.

The Broncos signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and also has spent time with the Patriots, Raiders, Chiefs, Browns, 49ers and Colts. He was on the practice squad of the 49ers, Browns and Colts last season.

Gutierrez has appeared in two career games — one for the Raiders in 2022 and one for the 49ers last season. He has played three offensive snaps and seven on special teams.

Browns claim OT Kilian Zierer off waivers

The Browns claimed offensive tackle Kilian Zierer off waivers, the team announced Sunday. The Falcons waived Zierer, a native of Munich, Germany, last week.

The Browns also announced they waived fullback Troy Hairston and wide receiver Winston Wright.

Zierer did not begin playing football until the age of 16, but with a wingspan of 83 5/8 to go with his 6-foot-7, 304-pound frame, Zierer earned a college scholarship.

He played at College of the Canyons and was the No.1 JUCO prospect at his position, according to Rivals, when he signed with Auburn. Zierer started every game at left tackle for the Tigers in 2022.

He signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2023 but went on injured reserve late in training camp with an ankle injury. In 2024, Zierer spent the season on the Texans’ practice squad as part of the International Player Pathway Program.

Correction: RB Ahamni Marshall has been turning heads.

With QJ - those initials plus his alleged woman-beating thing, make me think of OJ - out, for who knows how long, it’s an opportunity for guys like Marshall.

I'd say we won't win 6 games, which is bad IMO. Maybe we won't be horrendous lol

I don't discuss that topic in the Pure Football forum. This isn't the place for it.

I know. My point was ignoring things about one's own side, while pointing it out among others.

Might as well sign Kevin Hogan . The Browns QB situation is beyond laughable
Now. 6 QBs on the roster . Unprecedented. This offense will take 5 weeks to score 21 pts in a game

6 QBs… Nobody able to compete with Flacco who should be retired. Hopefully the games will be watchable for a while before the tanking.

Brian sipe is still in good shape. He is only 35 years older than Flacco wink

I have a feeling we will be in "meaningless game" mode by week 5

We do have a brutal schedule especially the first 6 games or so. By the time our bye week comes around we could easily be 2-6 or 1-7. Not being a pessimist just a realist.

Yeah, we don't have many wins on that schedule

In all seriousness, I was looking at the QB stat tracker, and it looks like each QB is getting very different work (Gabriel had far and away the highest volume of tracked throws, Sanders was only ahead of Pickett, but that was after he was held out for the weekend).

What caught my eye was Sanders' shoulder soreness even though his workload seemed relatively light. I wonder if he's really trying to put extra zip on each ball and that kinda got to him. Flacco's total attempt count was higher than I would like it to be.

and the fact that KS said a decision would be "very soon" basically means it's Flacco

Sanders has been getting a lot of extra throws in before and after practice. He has been reported to be the last out there after practice.

Use the PC for new prospects who show something you want to develop. Once a player has been around the team for 2-3 years he needs to be a significant contributor or just move him out.

You might take a different attitude with a QB you might keep around and a kicker.

What other legitimate choice do they have? They're certainly not going to start Flacco. The #2 and #3 QB's on the depth chart are banged up. Can't play them. Huntley is just now getting into camp.

Starting Sanders who is listed as the #4 QB on the current depth chart isn't a choice they made based on all of the QB options on the roster. It was made based on the QB's on the roster who are physically able to play at this time.

Joe already knows the system and the playbook. Throwing him out there in the fist preseason game wouldn't make any sense.

Great opportunity for Sanders Friday night and today in the joint practice with the Panthers. Indications are he has looked good in camp so far, so he has a chance to elevate himself to the coaching staff with a couple good performances.

This had to happen. Are you suggesting one player over team needs? This worrying and speed concerns worry me. Your stated concerns elsewhere about red flags and risk factors are part of decisions needing to happen. This team could wring its hands and worry about potential issues going bad to the point of paralysis.
Shall we not suit and play? Early for our wild cat package in preseason. Rather than what you feel may be wrong or might go wrong, what decision would you have made? This IS leadership: Making the best decision possible in the worst of situations. You seem eager to condemn and bring out past problems, hindsight again,
as if you show off authority. It is a convenient kind of condemnation, it is not leadership, and it invites doubt because of its method IMO.
