Takes some pressure off of today but we should still play to win the division.

Getting hit by a pitch is an art. You can avoid it altogether, which makes sense if it is at your head. You can stand there like a dummy and get bludgeoned by the pitch which isn't good, or you can learn to get hit but take it in a way that doesn't cause much damage.

Learning to turn away just enough to take a glancing blow is being a good team player. Whatever it takes to get to first base is the goal of any at bat.

I still can't remember, ever, a based loaded, walk off, hit by pitch to clinch a playoff spot.

2nd year manager S Vogt, has now taken this team to the playoffs his only two years as a manager. How much credit does he get? Is he the next great manager?

I think he gets a lot of the credit for managing this team, which keeps a low payroll, only really has a couple of veterans, tons of young ball players, playing many out of position, platooning multiple players. Managing a really young rotation and bullpen. To keep it all together for his two seasons, making the playoffs in both of his seasons as a manager. Are the Guardians possibly gonna lose him to money?

Anyway, congrats to the Guardians for another successful season!

How this team competes year after with the cheapness of the Dolan family is beyond me , imagine if we has a real payroll.

Me, my wife and son went last night-guessed on a whim about a week ago that they could be close this weekend and picked a day to go.
