I am going to assume we DON'T draft a QB in the first round in 2026 and that either Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders will be our starting QB for that year. Not because I want it that way but because the cap being what it is we can't even afford to sign a 1st round QB even if we wanted to. So the premise is that since the team needs at least 1 STUD WR nad 5 offensive lineman that our first pick of the draft will be either a WR or a LT. For now, lets focus on possible WRs.
I kind of hope to learn from you guys on this one because I am not a great judge of WRs. I got stuck playing offensive line so that is what I know. What I do know about WRs is that I LIKE tall WRs who are at least 6'2 and can out fight CBs and safeties for the ball. I like for them to have big huge hands that swallow up the ball. Think Calvin Johnson, Randy Moss, Harold Carmichael, etc. I also know those big guys are pretty rare. Also, if he can't run at least a 4.5 then let's not talk about him because he most likely will never be open unless he is a giant and is always open like Harold Carmichael was.
So who can we find in the 2026 upcoming draft to be our Big Number One WR? I honestly don't know so tell me what you guys think and if you have been paying attention to any.
Nyck Harbor seems to fit the prototype that I like most. He is 6'5" and runs a 4.24. He doesn't have much play time so maybe we could get him later in the draft. I would attach this kid to the jugs machine for 2 years until he can catch anything.
Chris Brazzell II is 6'5" and runs a 4.48. He is a bit lean but he is a good route runner with decent hands.
So who would you like to see the Browns draft at WR assuming we don't go with a QB?
