Well, I mean I wouldn't want to ruin Sanders by having him play behind this offensive line. Sanders is the one with actual potential if he is given time to develop so why rush him out there just to get sacked like crazy. But if they plan to let Sanders get some play time the best time is after the bye week. Then just give him the same amount of games DG has had and let the best guy win the final game reps.

sounds like KS is safe and will be given a 1st round QB Either that, or it's the kiss of death....

I hear everybody saying this, but I also hear, that he is not ready. Reporters who have access to the locker room, say he is far from being ready to play. Also, why is it that it is okay for Gabriel to play behind this line, but if Sanders does it will ruin him? I'm sick of the touting Sanders as if he is this spectacular QB who is getting shafted by the league and the Browns. The reality is, he is not up to speed. I have never seen a player so overhyped and fans using so many excuses for him. Anybody who believes a NFL team would actually sabotage a "great" player while the team is losing is living in Lala land. If he was this fantastic player, he would have been drafted higher, and be playing right now.
RIP, Jim

I've never agreed with a post you have made more than that one Peen.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

There is so many different angles on the Shedeur Sanders thing that don't make sense, but the push to play him now is probably the most confusing.

Anybody who believes a NFL team would actually sabotage a "great" player while the team is losing is living in Lala land. If he was this fantastic player, he would have been drafted higher, and be playing right now. I honestly think that there isn't any QB who can play well behind this line and throwing to these WRs. I don't hate DG but when I watch him play it's pretty obvious he is just too small to be effective in the NFL. He tries way too hard to put heat on his passes and it leads to bad passes. I am not a big fan of Sanders. Before the draft I said he was a 2nd to 3rd round pick due to his weak average talent and slow decision making. I really wanted Jackson Dart but what do I know =) The problem is that I think because of Sanders slow decision making he is going to end up with happy feet like Charlie Fry did. It's basically the same situation. A poor oline can ruing a good QB fast! Especially if they are a rookie. Still at some point I want Sanders to play and go through his baptism of fire to see if he will stand or fall. When it comes to personality and character I love both our rookie QBs and I wish they could both do well. Saddly, I think they both end up as career backups.

Or just ready to let Whiteheart go, or that fed up with our WRs and going 4 TE sets.

Flacco is statically flourishing in Cincy with actual NFL Wide Receivers.

They might decide to move Fannon to WR since he played there also in college. Then they might use the new guys for run blocking.

We've circled back to Kev giving up playing yet again. What a mess. Desperate times in Berea.

In all honesty, I don't expect much, if anything at all, to change. If it does, then that would be informative.
All I care about is getting a good/fair look at the rookies... primarily the QBs. Anything that helps us do that would be great.

I would agree that wth this roster we won't suddenly see a seismic change ... but I do expect to see a little bit of a difference. Give it 2 maybe 3 games and I reckon we might see some noticable differences.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

I know that it's confusing but yes, Baker at #1 by the Browns in 2018 (18-14 under Stefanski) and Watson at #12 by Houston in 2017 (9-8 after 3 1/2 years under Stefanski) were 1st round picks. However, so was Pickett drafted by the Steelers at #20 in 2022 (0-0 in Cleveland) and Flacco a #18 pick overall by Baltimore in 2008. Every one of them were either expected to be the starter or compete for the starting job. Technically, it could be considered five 1st round picks since Flacco was here twice and didn't have a full season here either time going 5-5 with the Browns.

Flacco hasn't play a full season since 2018. The first time he played here he was plucked off of his couch because nobody else wanted him. That's factually and not technically.

I misread what you wrote (I read too quickly and thought you weren't counting Baker or Watson).
Regardless, I find the whole exercise kind of silly.
Baker wasn't selected by them and wasn't fitting well with KS system. I believe you were in the minority of not wanting to get rid of Baker... so kudos to you for that. That said, Baker balling out elsewhere will be a black mark on this regime.
I do believe that Watson was forced by Haslam (I've explained this several times). I never did understand how KS would want to move on from Baker due to poor fit within the system to Watson (who, at his best, is an even poorer fit within the scheme). Maybe it was assumed that Watson would just work in any system since he was just that good. The rest of the QBs we've had in here have been pulled from the FA scrap heap. At times, the play we've gotten from this group has been surprisingly good... I wish we could've brought Jacoby Brissett back.
