You weren't asking me, but he strikes me as an innovative coordinator but just doesn't have the leadership ability to be a good HC.

A concern but…some guys are stifled by those above them and some only blossom when given the chance. The question would be…was he and is he either of those?

Schwartz is low on my list of choices. I really do not see the point of hiring him as HC.

Same.

Agree. I like Schwartz. I have zero interest in him being named HC.

Are you counting his interview with the Browns as his lone HC interview? I do not recall any others, including prior years as the Browns DC.

Same. Landing the guy that penned the 32 point Power Point for Shanahan is also near the top of my list. Sign me up for Miami Mike (and his eyewear).

I don’t consider Harbaugh a realistic option.

Yes, I am counting Schwartz's interview with us as his only one.

Edit: I am not 100% if that is true or not. I just don't remember him being interviewed by anyone else.

Couldn't agree more. Sometimes situations become untenable and only a change will paint an accurate picture. There is no clear evidence in the NFL until "fool me twice".

That said, Oobs, that seems to be the consensus after a quick look under the hood.

That is a good question.

Oober brought up one of the main reasons I want him. Offensive innovator. That offense was dangerous when Tua was not being concussed. He had them going with a run game too. He had a vision of what he wanted his offense to be (speed) and it was put in action. IMO, I think he is good to excellent in play development. What I mean by this is the spacing of WRs, routes, and overall execution of the players. The Browns routes just looked sloppy and overall execution has looked rough (though I give them some leeway regarding young players).

He should get the job based on that sideline pose alone.

rofl

I was thinking the same thing. If that isn't the look of a guy in charge, I don't know what is.

I wonder how many of these interviews are actually interviews for offensive coordinator

Haslam has made it clear we want to keep Jim.

Well then. What will he do if offered both jobs?

If he gets a head coach offer. He is not going to be our DC.

Sometimes when you look at the NFL.

It seems like soap opera. Who is effing who and who knows?

We fire KS. He could go to Baltimore. Harbaugh gets fired and he could land here.

The Steelers don't fire guys. They retire.

Just win baby.

If you entertain every coulda, shoulda, woulda scenario I'm pretty sure at appears much weirder than it will ever turn out to be. The imagination is a powerful tool that can sometimes work overtime. naughtydevil

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I would not feel bad if it ends up Schwartz and Rees stays as OC.

It would be ok with McDaniel as OC.

But really I like Tommy Rees and he knows the roster. I am uncertain about Shedeur but Rees might be his best choice.

I don't think he is ready to be head coach. It would be hard to hire a staff. He doesn't have experience at all on defense.

I sure don't see Schwartz under Rees.

So Schwartz and away we go.

I would consider Schwartz, It would depend upon his plan forthe offense and special teams, but if he has a good plan, heck yeah.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

j/c...

If Schwartz has expressed real interest and is even remotely opposed to staying at DC, I'm slow-playing my lukewarm interest until I've interviewed everyone on my list. I think Schwartz is a clear Plan B in a field of Plan As.
