He doesn't seem to care that the very reason we were given for war in Iraq was wrong. He just wants "the bad guys" gone. Nations all around the globe are full of "bad guys."

I suppose we should just go to war with them all? rolleyes

That is the beauty of it. We all do not have to agree on every issue. Same should be for the left and right. Disagreements are normal and should occur in a healthy society. What is not healthy is disagreeing and throwing fits like our left does time and time and time again.

A fit? Do you mean like Jan. 6th? Or do you mean all of the boycotts trump called for in his first term? Or shooting up cases of Bud Light? Or having a meltdown over Cracker Barrel taking Uncle Herschel off of their sign? Or like the unhinged fits trump throws almost every time he addresses the press or the country?

January 6th I agree with you. Peaceful protests or boycotts are lawful. Any and all riots are unacceptable.

The problem is that is in no way, shape or form what you said.............

throwing fits like our left does time and time and time again.

I gave you examples that fit within your own description.

The Netherlands plans to deploy 1 soldier to Greenland, while France has deployed 15 and Germany 13.... for a quick 2-day mission.

I think this basically says it all.
1. They felt they had to publicly do *something*.
2. They know that a large deployment would be meaningless and futile
3. They likely don't think it is a possibility, either, but are simply doing it for the public perception of it.

It's all a lot of hand wringing over something that has a near-zero chance of happening.

Zero seems just a little low, but not much, for a man who is so unpredictable with such a huge ego that thinks "only his own morality" dictates his actions.

.

This is it right here - and it really does say everything. They felt like they had to do something publicly to support an Ally who is being targeted by a fellow NATO ally. All they are doing is saying they support Denmark and Greenland.

It doesn't say anything about their ability or willingness to defend Greenland against the USA - it says everything that they (and many other EU leaders) feel obliged to respond to the petulant antics of a want to be imperialist.

Trump Says He May Punish Countries With Tariffs If They Don’t Back The U.S. Controlling Greenland

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — President Donald Trump suggested Friday that he may punish countries with tariffs if they don’t back the U.S. controlling Greenland, a message that came as a Congressional delegation met Danish and Greenlandic lawmakers in Copenhagen and sought to lower tensions.

Trump for months has insisted that the U.S. should control Greenland, a semiautonomous territory of NATO ally Denmark, and said earlier this week that anything less than the Arctic island being in U.S. hands would be “unacceptable.”

“I may put a tariff on countries if they don’t go along with Greenland,” he said Friday, without providing details. “We need Greenland for national security.”

He had not previously mentioned using tariffs to try to force the issue.

I'm only picking out this part to respond to because I gotta let the rest of your post simmer in my brain a little longer.

I thought we were sick of having to do everything/direct everything in NATO. That NATO has to grow a pair and start acting like adults and make decisions without the US having to bless lead all the time? At least that was the story behind us pulling back on Ukraine.
