Being on a public street where she did not belong or blocking traffic where she did not belong? Neither of those call for the death penalty. If ICE hadn't been in mass in a decent public neighborhood playing storm troopers none of this would have happened either. If they were actually looking for illegals based on evidence instead of stopping everyone who is brown and detaining many of them with no cause other than they are brown and have an accent none of this would have happened either.


Not following orders of an ICE agent doesn't carry the death penalty unless you live in Trumplandia. Plain and simple.

Since the people who carried out the Boston Tea Party stole and destroyed between what would be worth 2-3 million dollars today you would have probably been a British loyalist calling for them to be hanged as well. History would not have treated you kind then and once it's written history won't treat you kind in the future.

ICE is gathering and removing criminals and people in our country illegally. There is a difference. Crime being dealt with by ICE officers and idiotic citizens opposing them from doing their duty. There is no justification for what these idiots are doing.

What there's no excuse for is ICE detaining people who are here legally which they do a lot of the time. There's also no excuse for them detaining U.S citizens which they have done quite often. If they were in any way acting like standard law enforcement, if they were using probable cause to detain people which our laws call for instead of acting like a paramilitary force none of this would be happening.

All you are doing is ignoring their actions to paint the picture that it's everyone's fault but theirs.

I will give you one thing, if she hadn't been there they couldn't have killed her. But she had as much right to be there as they did.

Actions such as these are fully justified because you know ICE and they are rooting out immigrants. So as they said on the Wizard of Oz, "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"

No, you have the option at the bottom to show if it's been edited or not. If I quickly notice an error or have something to add I choose not to show it as edited.

When you say "terrifying", do you mean like "wow, that was scary", or like life-changing-haunting-horrifying-never-normal-again "terrifying"?

I know that somehow in trumplandia people think showing an isolated incident implies that applies in every or even most situations. Normal people understand that's not true.

They are legally obligated to provide treatment for detainees in custody (similar to any jail) - which they do by third-party contracts. But they have announced that they will not process these claims, causing third-party contractors to refuse to treat detainees.

Meanwhile there were 4 detainee deaths in ICE detention from January 1 - January 9 already (on pace for 162 deaths this year, compared to ~7 a year over the last 20 years). Sadly it doesn't matter what the truth is to many - they get fed the lies and spin and the their zone has been flooded with excrement - quite deliberately. So facts don't resonate any more, their minds are closed.

"Normal people" care about those things when "anyone" does them. They focus on all of those crimes and horrible things committed by every criminal without pointing to a small portion of the population that's committing a fraction of them in order to demonize that portion of the population. That's the only difference here.

Normal people don't believe that's an excuse to detain citizens that have done none of those things and to hunt down people that have committed no serious or violent crimes like animals.

Is being raped by an illegal somehow worse than being raped by someone who is a citizen? Or is the understanding that, of the total rapes that are committed, a significant portion are done by illegals?
