ICE is gathering and removing criminals and people in our country illegally. There is a difference. Crime being dealt with by ICE officers and idiotic citizens opposing them from doing their duty. There is no justification for what these idiots are doing.

What there's no excuse for is ICE detaining people who are here legally which they do a lot of the time. There's also no excuse for them detaining U.S citizens which they have done quite often. If they were in any way acting like standard law enforcement, if they were using probable cause to detain people which our laws call for instead of acting like a paramilitary force none of this would be happening.

They are legally obligated to provide treatment for detainees in custody (similar to any jail) - which they do by third-party contracts. But they have announced that they will not process these claims, causing third-party contractors to refuse to treat detainees.
Meanwhile there were 4 detainee deaths in ICE detention from January 1 - January 9 already (on pace for 162 deaths this year, compared to ~7 a year over the last 20 years). Data and statistics show that illegal immigrants not only commit less crime overall than US citizens - immigrant women are about 3 times more likely to be the victim of sexual abuse than US women ... with partners even withholding legal status as a means of control (presumably by not marrying the women).
