I think it’s safe to say Jim Schwartz isn’t coming back.

If nothing else, Monken comes across as a sincere, down-to-earth guy.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Agreed. He sounded like a sweet elderly man. I wish I could have handed him a throat lozenge.

First off it has been a long journey to become a head coach of an NFL team.
Todd is all business. He will give all he has got.
TBD. The elephant has not left the room. Schwartz?
I am surprised that there is no conclusion to the drama.
It will be interesting to see the changes coming to the offense. Both in players and scheme.
I am expecting versatility. He will lean on analytics for probabilities. He will coach to the strength of players capabilities.
The offense will be driven by the players not yet on the roster.
I wonder if he will have any say in the draft? An obvious question not asked.

Jimmy setting the bar early. He just shouldn’t speak.

Definitely not eloquent and that’s kinda fresh. Didn’t have to listen to most of the canned responses these guys usually give on day one and it’s obvious, while he had notes, it wasn’t some rehearsed BS…
Pretty well established and not having to forge a name for himself is a plus. Realizing what winning here means was something I was really looking for. I think he gets it.
Ultimately, it still boils down to getting it done and showing us. This fandom has heard a lot of flowery talk and it’s become tiring and time to actually change something. Get out of the way Jimmy, give him the time to see if his approach can make a difference.

It doesn't sound positive for Schwartz staying. Sometimes the things people don't say tells us more about a situation than the things they do say. Even at that they had nothing positive to say about him remaining in Cleveland.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Agree, the part about chipping Myles and not Schwartz plus they’ll be running the same system pretty much put that to rest.

I have had very limited exposure to Monken - and he was not my choice - but I will agree with every sentiment that he seems authentic and all about getting to work and not trying to dress chicken chit up as chicken salad. I like that. I get the impression - and who knows yet - but he seems to wear his heart on his sleeve and there will not be the endless trotting out of platitudes and meaningless bland tripe after losses or poor performances. That was one of the 3 or 4 biggest issues I developed with KS - hopefully Monken holds people accountable (in a productive way).
All the questions and non-answers and sidestepping on Schwartz (again Monken gave the most telling/straight answer - I didn't take the job because of JS). . . it sounds like [1] they are still hoping he doesn't land a gig somewhere else but he's clearly looking [2] The idiocy and ineptitude of Berry and Haslam to be interviewing every coach with the (reported) caveat that they want to keep Schwartz without having a freaking clue how he will handle being passed over. Just dumb. Very Haslam and very Browns.
The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
