No that's not what I mean the guy is an outstanding basketball player on the court but I don't think he's what you would call a role model in character. Everytime I think of Pierce I just think of what he did to LBJ but that's just me.

You guys seem to forget that Ray Allen has been a non-factor as well. The teams 3rd leading scorer averaged only 10 points a game and many of those were free throws or lay-ups. If Ray would have played the way he is capable, Cleveland would have been blown-out in this series, and the same goes for Pierce with the exception of this game.
Coulda woulda shoulda. If Lebron would've played the way he was capable the Cavs would've won the series in 6 games.

I didn't say anybody did say that he wasn't a great player, I was just sticking up for one of my favorite players when someone calls him trash. I don't think Pierce and trash belong in the same sentence.

I don't have anything against Garnett, it's Boston. Do they really get to win everything? I never root for the Pistons but I will be this time around.

credit the cavs defense to that, they made life miserable for him all series
and you can easily say that if lebron played in games 1 and 2 or even 5 like he did today, there wouldn't have been a seventh game this series.

I'm so sick and tired of Boston!
I want that earthquake that hit China to hit Boston and destroy Gillette Stadium, the Garden and most of all Fenway Park.
I've had it with that city and their cocky, whiny fans who complain if they don't win everything every year.
Next thing we'll hear is "Why aren't the Bruins good????"

By the by, I think guaranteeing a blowout victory is kind of trashy. A true star would let his on-court game do the talking. Pierce is lucky he played the definitive game of his career or he'd be getting laughed out of town, especially if they'd lost.

it was funny how people were on and off that bruin bandwagon in less than a week...
as far as pierce being "trash", that is more towards some of the things he has done, as far as playing basketball, he's always been a solid all-star caliber player, his game isn't trash.

I don't know what series you were watching. You guys were lucky to beat us in games 1,5, and 7. We were the better team, but, hey, you guys won. More power to you and the Celtics. I wish my owner went out and bought the likes of Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. After Detroit gets done mopping the floor with you guys, you will be nothing but a footnote, just like the 07'-08' Cavs.

People (fans, media) let a lot of things slide with him because he plays with so much "heart". He pushes in the back all game, talks trash even when he isn't doing jack and throws just as many cheap shots as Bruce Bowen (who every calls a dirty player). Didn't like him in Minnesota, don't like him now.

I just want to say that the Cavs impressed me during this series and they are only a true #2 option away from becoming THE team in the East, but until then, that will be between Detroit and Boston. This series should give Boston confidence that they didn't play nearly as well as they are capable of and they still beat a good team in Cleveland - who just happened to beat Detroit last year. If Boston can improve their overall play, and have Ray Allen get back to normal they are a legit championship team. Cleveland had a good year considering the injuries and trading away half the team with only 2 months left in the regular season.

That's it in a nutshell.
He's a fake POS, and I am praying that he never wins a title.
I do like Ray Allen, one of the few players in Boston I like.

it was a good series by the Cavs and the Celtics but once again the Celtics come on top. Cavs forgot one priority and that was guarding our sharpshooting pj brown. Rondo was dishing the assists to him at the end with the fake floater shots that were passes. The cavs defense crumbled before PJ Brown. LeBron ended up choking in the end missing that last free throw and delonte west missed that three. See ya next year.

I agree with you on Ray Allen the guy never talks and he puts up points plain and simple with good effort. He's basically the only player I like as well, I dont really care one way or another about anyone on that team, including the most-loved KG.

A win is a win no matter how it comes. Boston and Cleveland were extreme even in this series and I don't think either side can say they definitively were the better team. Maybe this was a case of frustration and supporting your team?

x2 on that.
The guy is about as classless as they come (Garnett).
Boston athletes in general are a bunch of raging buffoons, and their fans are the exact same way.

What a freaking awful day ... Lee gives up 6 ERs and we lose to Cincy ... Cavs lose game 7 because they can't sink shots at the end. I'm expecting to hear that Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow got busted for dogfighting or something tonight.

i don't mind kg, i think he's a solid player, he does push in the back a lot, and he does run his mouth, but for the most part, he's a solid player

I see your point, but I just don't think the Cavs are there yet. I think last year was a fluke, that's JMHO. I think the Cavs are very good, but I'm not ready to put them in the Great category until they get a legit scorer who can put up points to help LeBron and pick up LeBron if he's having a bad game. Maybe I'm being to hard on the Cavs, that very well could be, but I honestly just don't see it. Allen Iverson took the 76ers to the finals and they were not a team I'd consider a great team, they were just an average team that had a great player - much like the Cavs, although they are a better team then the Sixers were then.

Honestly, what NBA team WOULDN'T give P.J. Brown a 21 footer to decide the game? I mean, he probably makes that shot probably 1 out of 20 times.

but you'll put the celtics in the "great" category?
a team that, through 2 playoff series', has yet to win a game on the road? not to mention that one of those series was against a team that finished 8 games below .500 in the regular season
sounds like a double standard to me.
and i'm still waiting on a reason to why last year was a fluke...
the cavs won a series, in which they didn't have homecourt, with great defense... this wasn't philly a few years ago, not even close...
you're basing everything off of game 5 last year, why ignore the rest of the series?
detroit was outplayed in every game that series, with the exception of maybe one.
i honestly don't think you even watched that series last year.

I was responding to someone saying that the Cavs would have won the series if anyone would have stepped up and helped him. I was pointing out that it goes both ways. You basically said the same thing I did, just for a different team so I'm not sure what your point is.

No doubt, if Boston thinks they're going to cruise to the championship winning all home games they've got another thing coming. Detroit WILL win one in Boston.
