i have no problem with eo, he's the one fabricating it. that said, this was all football. it was all about the 49ers and if he read my whole posts instead of jumping on them for whatever reasons, he'd know we had no problem. he took ammo's attitude and put them into my posts. i never even said he was wrong, just offering my take on the singletary/martz thing and i get all this crap. i agree that eo commanded respect before but if you look at all the recent posts, it's just giving people crap. i'm here to talk football and i still believe i raised legit points. if you want to talk football, here they are: you take a generic quote from a presser from singletary, written by the AP and treat it like it's the end all fact. who does that? we all know the pressers hide the real reasoning behind anything. these AP quotes BARELY touch the underlying reasons for any browns story yet, it's fact when it's about another team? even if it came from singletary's mouth? right. because singletary has all the leverage in becoming a head coach anywhere. it had nothing to do with the fact that no one wanted him as a hc for years that he'd be willing to bend over and take his pants off for the FO...he already did it for his players anyways  i point this out and look at the attitude i get. and guess what? the person giving the attitude didn't even read the point! just ranting on nothing. take a look at ammo's original response that sparked the whole thing. you think that merited the lashing it got? I don't think it's stupid at all. Football is football whether it's the Browns (sometimes I wonder if they are playing football) or 49ers. And dong is right about eo. He's one of many on here who think their poo has no aroma. He knows a fair amount about football. Problem is he has no trouble reminding you of that. A little less arrogance would go a long way. coachb, you listening?..........

I let it go when someone backed up my point, that's all I really needed. I have no need to try and start crap. Especially with people I generally respect. I gotta admit I was caught off-guard when eo was so aggressive going after my counter point.

Please challenge me in a football discussion...I would love it as would the Board members. I see none...I see personal attacks. Love the other board...I spend equal time...and there are more dolts there then there are here. Btw...I think you should post there more

I saw the Presser...boy a different assessment then what has been portrayed by the media. He was very honest in his evaluation on the QB situation. There are too many variables still out there before a finite evaluation can be given.
Mural...these reporters seem to just HATE Mangini...even after explaining they tried to put a spin that in lieu of the cuts made (personnel fired) why spend money on redecorating.
Things important to me.
Mangini...lives 200 yds away. Wonder if he's working hard 
Has so much he's doing now. Evaluating Players, FAgents, Prospective Coaches, Draft/Combine, Sit downs with any existing player that comes to Berea for an extensive talk and feedback.
Reported Snub on Rogers. "Honestly as hard as it seems I didn't even notice that Rogers was there"
He stated he knew Rogers was having fun at the Pro-Bowl and should be getting Info from Jenkins who also is there about what kind of Coach Mangini is.
Jenkins was one of the most outspoken and full of praise for Mangini after he was fired.
DQ impressed him a lot.
He liked the way Jamal ran hard and punish and fight.
Rogers simply Impressed him and you can see the twinkle in his eye.
Joe Thomas is solid and important to this franchise.
Cribbs is Special and guys who do special things on Special Teams should mature to a starting position. He mentioned Cotchery from the Jets as an example.
Coaches...I guess most of the rest...mostly positional and assistants to the assistants will be coming from the College ranks as he explained a lot of the hiring holdups were due to the allegiance these coaches had to their current employers and didn't want to leave the process right before HS commitments/declarations and possibly hurt the schools.
RB coach, WR coach, TE Coach, LB Coach are the ones I can think of.
We kept our Strength and Conditioning Staff in tact.
Looks like Mangini is moving forward in all the right directions. What is there not to like.

We're seeing things with the same eyes when it comes to that press conference.
The media's making it out to seem like he said nothing. I heard much more than that. I just know he can't go too far into detail. I think he gave honest answers.
Livingston made me sick when he continued to go after Mangini for the mural.
Overall he strikes me as more football-intelligent than Romeo...I hope I'm right.

last response. you're absolutely right, all you see is personal attacks. if you scroll a little to the left though, you'd see those are in YOUR posts. get it through your thick skull: no one here attacked you. you attacked others. you have no target on your back, just your jerk attitude.

Of course, I would expect a "football" post from you. After all you are the board guru on all things pigskin.
And if I feel the topic deserves a "football" response, I make one. I respond to your posts the way I do because I get tired of you raking everyone else over the coals because they supposedly lack your football acumen. I think most of the board "experts" seem to forget that if they really were experts they most probably wouldn't be wasting their time on here.
Hell, this time of year there really is virtually no football to talk about. Only old subjects that get rehashed interminably. In another 2 months things will heat up but until then.........meh.....not much to talk about.
