That's a good idea. I've already got a rough draft of one worked up. It isn't much, but it might look cool on a shirt pocket or a coffee mug.

  Here are two more. I was playing around with the font colors. Some have darker brown in them. The final design should work well with white and brown shirts. Can we can upload multiple images on the Cafe Press site?

Like most others that are regulars, I'd pay a small subscription to help defray the costs. I know it isn't cheap to run a place like this, not even counting the time as a ref.
I don't click the ads when I'm at work, I couldn't even if I wanted to. My browser doesn't even show them. (Gogo NoScript!) Although i try to click a few at home, but haven't been very diligent lately...

The ads do not bother me. I must admit that I have only been clicking these ads since this post appeared as I didn't realize that the "click" is what generated revenue...Doh!!
If there is a need to go to subscriptions, then I would likely follow whether there are perks or not. It all depends on the fee. I am not sure what the operating cost of this site is, but given the loyal members of the board I am thinking that $10 a year would cover the basics (or what is featured now).
I wonder what the other perks might be? Hosting / FTP for members? I'm not trying to be cynical, but if additional features are mostly associated with uploading with fewer limits, there are many other free sites that can facilitate such needs.

BuckeyePlanet does this and they also publish the amount raised as well as the contributors. There is not a necesary need for listing who / how much, but I do like how they presented and described the opportunity to give in a box on the home page.

I voted no because I brace for banishment at any time, but I would make a 10 dollar donation each year. I'm not worried about the ad's, they don't bother me.

Just a couple ideas to throw out there. Doesnt pay sites have insider information? Also, you could select a poster to ask weekly questions to. Then he/she can select which questions they perfer to awnser. Maybe an address to make donations to and see if that helps? One day maybe you could make enough profit to hire a part time reporter. I see your talking about t-shirts. Maybe use that to create revenue or offer a free shirt with a years subscription. Just a couple ideas. Ive been clicking on ads to try to help.
