I agree. As an outsider, I wish she wouldn't have brought all these kids into the world and into what looks like an unstable environment. But at this point, whatever it takes is what she's going to have to do, or needs to do anyway. I still feel sorry for those kids whether it's any of my business or not.

LOL I think he's out on probation Ya know whats really sad about this entire reason for this thread,,, this woman has some kinda mental problem.. if you had seen her with her mom and on Dr. Phil, you'd know that she is just not all that bright. Very argumentative and reasonably articulate, but just not all the cards are in the deck so to speak. As I see it, she basically has only 5 choices in order to take care of her 14 kids... 1. Public Assistence, food stamps, public housing, etc etc.. (I really don't want to pay for her bad choices, but the kids are innocents in this mess.. I would do so, but they gotta get the kids away from this woman) 2. Get herself a regular job that pays enough so that she can afford a couple of nannnys and a roof over her head and food on the table. (I have no idea what skills she has that would allow her to earn enough for all of that) 3. Find herself a wealthy sugar daddy that loves kids (hey, there is at least one such person out there,,, I guarantee it, let the search begin) 4. Get with a publisher, agree to author book and get some kinda upfront money and then residuals if the book sells. (I honestly don't know who would read it, but hey, if some idiot publisher will pay her for it, its honest work) 5. Do the freakin porn and take care of her kids. (personally, I don't want to see the movies she would end up doing.. I have no interest and I find porn to be demeaning to women, but if that's her only legit choice, then somewhere along the line, she would have to make a tough decision, take care of her kids, or don't.) She did get herself into this so it's easy to just look the other way and say,, to hell with her.. But those kids... beautiful babies,,, complete innocents in this mess. Those kids deserve better... they are complete innocents.. they are who my heart aches for.

I know you were half joking but she will not get a contract for several movies. Vivid is not doing this to sell videos. Yeah they will sell a few for curiosity' sake,kind of like the Tonya Harding and the John Wayne Bobitt videos. What they are really getting out of this is a huge amount of exposure. They are attachng their name to a well known national story. They probably actually are hoping the lady turns the offer down.

No, she has at the least a 6th choice.
6. Allow the kids to be adopted out and placed into homes where they will be taken care of properly, which IMO is the proper choice.
This may not be an option for her to select as they may be taken away from her anyway. It is so ridiculous to see her in interviews.....saying she didn't want help but now realizes she has to get over her own hang-up of being in control and accept the assistance. Duh, do you think so?????

Yeah Shep, that is certainly an option worth exploring, but if you listen to her on these shows like Radar and Dr. Phil, she doesn't seem the least bit inclined to give them up willingly.
But like you say, that choice may be made for her...

The 2 lines of thought are not mutually exclusive.
A mentally unstable female with already more kids than she can properly provide for has no business having a pregnancy conducive to multiple births.
She is bordering on child abuse as the original 6 and the new 8 kids will be neglected in some form or fashion on a regular basis.
The idea that Octo Mom would seek to accept a porno deal to supplement her ...non income...is a frightening thought that will abuse herself and all the dumbasses that blind themselves watching her art form.

Allow me to articulate my point.. and I really DON'T need to make up my mind.. my mind is pretty much already made up...
The fact that this woman had 6 kids she couldn't support and decided to have not just 1 more, but 8 more.. is disgusting. (Personally I think she has mental issues that are more sad than disgusting.. but you like the word disgusting, so we'll go with that.
The fact that an invitro lab of DOCTORS participated in her doing it is also disgusting.
The fact that she thought she would be given television shows and endorsements and charity for doing it is also disgusting.
The fact that if she doesn't find some alternative income that the public will be supporting her is also disgusting.
The fact that a porn company has offered her a sleazy way to achieve some measure of the celebrity status she aspired to from the beginning and some people think she should take it is also disgusting.
