Absolutely unreal. The thing that made me suspicious was B's "son" gushing all over him. What 19 year old kid talks so highly of their parents?
People need to realize this is a message board. Nothing more and nothing less. If someone needs to make up a lie to impress people they'll probably never meet, they have serious issues. Coach B, if this is indeed all a lie, I take back all the prayers I said for you.

People deserve to be informed. Lots of people felt bad and were upset by the cancer thing, they have a right to know. I think it's probably driving him crazy that the jig is up. He's been working this a LONG, LONG time. I think the thread is a good idea.

If he does indeed have cancer I still wish him a fair recovery. I havent been on this message board long enough to get "attached" to the guys on this message board. So I cant really say his lies have effected me. I feel sorry for you guys that feel like you were fooled or used.

j/k...I feel like such a fool for being duped.
When B (I won't honor him by calling him Coach) first came to the board I called him on being a Coach and on playing football. I pretty much tore him apart and then he was nothing but nice to me. I let him back in - several years ago his son came up and that is what sucked me in.
My wife always observes that I cannot resist helping a kid out in anything to do with athletics. I spent hours giving B conditioning programs to help his son "JIM" out.
I sort of felt bad that I reemed him a new one in the past and that he actually was who he was...and as some of the post of logic and philosophy posted that we want to believe these things.
Now looking back its like - How could I be so stupid. He never came through like a Coach would and with the BEST FRIEND Contacts that he had. When I needed a favor, not for myself but for some kids.
And then in his board name "COACH" B - and portrayed himself as a coach. And yet now I recollect in that tearful testimony to his dad (I'm thinking this kid had to be sobbing at the keyboard soaking it with tears) about how he finally achieved his dream of coaching just recently and this Cancer had to befall him.
Thinking back now. He just in his own duping confessed that he was never a coach Until 8 months ago. Also when I thought I was helping to train his son Jim I was astonished that he went from 6' to 6'6 in such a short amount of time. But then I and my off spring are all short so I have no personal experience of such growth spurts.
I feel like most here...such a fool. And once again - I trust everyone and what they say. I suck at hiring...you don't know how many 100 words a minutes asst. I have hired in the past that end up typing with their Index fingers looking for the proper letters.
But I'll continue to believe everyone at their word. Ever so the fool I guess and hope one day to meet an honest soul. Watch it be somebody like Crazyotto - figures the guy on crapola list
But we just don't know I guess...the message board is a fantasy land to all I guess in a way as we fanticise that we account for something regarding our beloved team. Just a bigger fantasy for some I guess.
Well I hope the lord will forgive me for wasting his time in my/our prayers.
later all - this sucks but it also might mean there is no dying poster which I guess is a good thing.

Starting a thread on him, which by the way has reached 4 pages long, is probably not the wisest thing to do. He is probably loving it that so many people are talking about him. This thread should be deleted. Enough off giving him so much attention.
I feel sorry for anyone who wants this kind of attention.
I kind of had a feeling he wasn't a real coach when he would consistently insult others. GOOD coaches these days are NOT that harsh and abrasive towards people. Especially high school coaches. The way he talked to some of us here there was no way he wouldn't have talked to his players the same way if he were real. The kids wouldn't have played hard for him because he would be so insulting to their own intelligence.
Then when the cancer thing happened he sort of changed, and I could see why he would.
Little B just sounded a bit too polished for an 18-19 year old jock. Looking back, red flags should have gone off when he said "OSU was an option but I wanted to play middle linebacker and at 6'6" 240 I couldn't there." Yeah, BS. If he was any sort of a great athlete there's NO WAY you turn down OSU for whatever school he claimed to coach.
Well, let's try to put a positive spin on this... anyone who had a debate with him officially wins by default now on the count he was a fraud.
So I was right about Charlie Frye the whole time!

Thats the thing about the internet, you can be who you want to be. I've known people online for several years that I consider to be friends and would be hurt if I found out they are pretending to be someone they are not. I'd be nice to think people you talk with online are all being genuine. Then it's incidents like this that make me want to question everything about people I meet.
It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

Ok, guys, I have decided to come clean. I am actually a 6'6" three sport athlete, and am the head coach of my state championship football, basketball, and baseball teams. I was accepted into Harvard last year, and OSU, USC, and all the big name schools are recruiting me in all sports. I have written 17 best selling books. And I am actually 13 years old, not 15.

After reading a few pages of this thread I actually feel sorry for CoachB. Not because he was exposed but because I can't imagine how lonely and pathetic someone has to be to make up and keep a personality for that long. And in the end trying to make people feel sorry for him that he has cancer.....wow. Some serious issues there.

just clicking, Dave...
For those of you that may still believe in CoachWannaB, I think the only way he could ever redeem himself, if in fact he is somehowreal and all of this is explainable, is to let the Refs know who he really is and where he coaches. If the Refs would come back and say they were wrong, then so be it.

See that's the thing. I don't think for one bit that he is lonely and pathetic. I think he is lewd in his thinking. I think he loved the fact that he fooled so many people. And I think he is loving the fact that so many people are still talking about him. He's probably loving this.

i don't post too much at all but read it all the time. CoachB seemed odd to me for a long time but when the son came and i read a post or two.....i found my self looking for the posts in other forums because my BS meter was going crazy. This is somewhat amusing for me to find out. What a tool!

Serious issues indeed. I wasn't exactly enamoured with B, cause he came off as an abrasive know-it-all, and played the "in-the-know" card a little too often. His opinions usually aligned with mine, so I never said too much ... cause it was a decent counter-weight to Pit's crap. Faking cancer is pretty dang low. Munchausen Syndrome a bit? I make youtube comedy videos for an online game, and am actually somewhat popular with the people who play. I had this one girl, who within the course of two months claimed she was mugged at knife-point, put into a coma from an auto accident then released from the hospital two days later, and a few weeks later claimed to have cancer ... all trying to get some attention. Now, I doubt that this person is even female. There are some sad little people who use the internet.

But what does that say about the a person that needs to have that satisfaction. It doesn't cry out that he is a Socially except able and respected person. Especially the length of time he has been carrying on this charade, it doesn't sound like it was a quick laugh. If this is all true B has some serious issues.
I won't miss the Pitt vs B threads any more where they both carry on for 5 pages saying the same stuff over and over again. That's for sure.
I don't know B and I really didn't like how he portrayed his "fabricated" self anyways. In the Pure Football forum if you dare disagreed with him he would pull the "I know more cause I'm a coach" thing too much for me.

Ive been on this board for a loooong time. I usually read and dont post much. Im not that out going but Ive had some good PM's with people like purp, jules and 337... I wouldnt hesitate to meet any of the people from this board for the browns and a beer. I think that says alot about our community ...
I always got the idea that Coach wasnt really a coach (either that or wasnt a good coach) and he was using the screen name to help him prop up his opinion (give it weight) I was never fond of his opinions, and often thought they were off. He was almost always off in his inside info too... that aside, I always gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was who he says he was.
But now seeing the information that the more perceptive people have come out with , all respect is lost for the Poor guy. I say the "poor guy" because obviously he/she/it has much deeper problems then just having a alter/ego on the message board. Oustiside of his wanting attention with his "inside info" (and I get info all the time but I cant substantiate it with paper facts and I dont want the attention) The Cancer lie (which if its not Ill eat crow for weeks) just tells us how deep those issues really go...to me it shows an utter abuse of other peoples compassion and a huge hole somewhere in his/hers/its life that needs to be filled with self fullfilling attention..
That my friend is the very very sad part, and just like King said I will continue to pray for him cancer or not because hes got issues

i never really talked with the guy, but i always kinda chuckled at his holier than thou atittude. as if because he was the coach of some crap divison 20 school in po-dunk, ohio, that meant he knew more than anyone else...
i think a real coach probably wouldn't have come off as so much of an elitist... maybe giving that kinda info/opinion when asked. instead of just barging in on a topic, stomping your foot down, and saying this is how it's supposed to be.
you must have no life if you have to create a different person on the net. that's really sorry. maybe dude should get out and find a woman.
and seriously, if you're going to lie about being someone else, and have this alter ego, create something cool. a coach? really?

I will say that I liked coach. I liked his analysis and he always treated me with respect, even if we didn't agree.

wow this is a shock..well not entirely, but my thinking is...he kept that going for many years..its one thing to do it for a bit, but this kinda reminds me of the Drew carey show..the guy who goes to prison comes out and wants to be like drew and then after awhile thinks he IS drew..lol..as far as the cancer thing...i don't care if you pretend to be someone else..no biggie, but to come on an say you have it, get all the people on the board to pray for you and your family. Which i'm sure many really did because of the close knit group on here. Just sick. I lost an uncle to liver cancer last year...i can't imagine anyone wanting to pretend to have such a horrible disease. Careful what you wish for..you just might get it.

Wow...I figured there was also know way his son was a 6'6 freaking linebacker. Did he at least tell the truth about having cancer? Id appreciate it if someone could PM me.
No actrually the part about his son being 6' 6" is true(well his high school bio said 6'5") and he did play LB and WR in high school. He did not/or does not play in college and from everything I can find about the kid in high school he was a better basketball player than a football player.

j/c,....This is really, really sad.
As I have grown older, I have adjusted to not being surprised anymore.
Anyone who wants to know what "college" this "was" can PM me; I had "figured it out" last year and it was confirmed by a "B" PM---hah!! Then found it really strange that while there were a couple of LB'ers whose dimensions were close to that suggested, I also bought the line that "B" was not officially a coach, but rather an unpaid assistant--thus his name was not listed on the team website,.....hmnnn. OK.
But you know, because as I think about how many times on this board I had never lied to anyone about anywhere I have ever been or anything I've ever done--and I was once accused on this very board of faking 3.9 grades at a very prestigious college--I took the man at his word and NEVER questioned what I believed was the truth, albeit needing some detailed explanation.
I am a complete 'effin idiot.

I also have to say AMMO, you have said on here that you like being able to have a alter ego on this message board.

Another thing I just thought about.
The poster CoachB's son told the story that at the press conference where he signed with the school they also announced the hiring of his dad. Just a though here, isnt it against NCAA regulations to give the family of a recruit a job with the university?

No, it's called a package deal but most universitys are smarter and they hire the parent a year or two before the kid is supposed to start. The ethics of it are discussed but it's not against the rules...

While I agree this would be a good rule, nothing indicates this is what happened, outside of "timing."
And when is there a PRESS CONFERENCE for a D-II,.....except maybe on the local news where the kid went to HS.

There are a lot of things that don't add up. When was the last time a Div II college coach had as much free time to argue politics with Pitt as B had? Most coaches work like 16 hours a day and are way too busy for that kind of stuff.

It is very sad and sick, for sure.I'll bet it goes on a lot more than we'd suspect. It would be awesome if there were some way to get people like this help. Oh well, God bless this poor soul.

I'm shocked. Some real mental stuff going on here. I can remember when i first found this board(or the original that is) I used to love reading his arguments with Worldchamps. My sides would hurt from laughing so hard. He was a blow-hard, but I enjoyed what he brought to the board. I just cant believe it was all BS. Good riddance, though.......what a headcase.

Actually Chumpy was always the one to say that he was BSing about the fact that he was a coach to begin with. Maybe he knew something we all didn't back then (as hard as it is to believe )

I believe he told me in a PM that Worldchumps was the one who had called his high school and caused problems for him.

Yes, some of them are. I'm very naive and got hurt very badly because I take everyone at face value. The research/stalking I do is very elementary. I am by no means a wiz on computers. When people run their mouths on here so much they dig themselves into holes if they are lying. There is a search function on this site. It is very easy to search on something someone says to see if they are consistent.
In your case you have made some outlandish claims. I found out who you were by chance. I read JJ Huddle and stumbled onto something that "outed" you. That thing is it confirmed what you were saying about your brother.
In the "which one is Ammo" thread it was obvious who you were because of what you posted on here. You didn't seem to want anyone to know who you are (even though you have posted pictures of yourself on here before) so I didn't out you. You are also on facebook in a group I belong to so it's not like anyone had to research you.
As far as CoachB...I had doubts, so i simply looked up records of teams in the general area where he claimed to live (Mansfield). Only one or two schools really had a possibility of him coaching. He posted scores of games one year and I called him on it because they didn't add up. He very well may have been a high school coach (I have no idea what his name is) but he wasn't as god as he said if he was truly a coach.
His story really fell apart when his "son" started posting. He had said that his son was a star running back and that simply didn't add up. Plus he said that he had a chance at OSU and I know that was complete BS. Again, JJ Huddle has highlight films that are submitted, as well as the top players in the state with who is courting them.
I didn't believe he went to coach in college until someone on here that I know backed him up. I guess they were duped pretty good as well.
I still trust in a few people here that I don't know personally. They can be lying as well but I chose to have some faith in others. I know very little about Toad and Diam but I do believe in who they say they are. I know people who have met both of them and I trust they have good judgment as well.
There are some on here that I can't believe a word they say. That really saddens me because I put to much faith in others even though I try not to.
I find it easier to just be myself instead of trying to say I'm something I'm not. It is extremely easy for anyone to figure out who I am so lying would be stupid. I have given credit to others on here for accomplishments that I could have easily taken credit for. Personally, I couldn't live with myself if I did.
I have people that coach for me who have lied about what they have done. All they have done is for me to lose respect for them and not trust in what they say.

I think its time I come clean myself. I'm really NOT a Underware Model like it says in my bio.
