I got duped by page 7. Then went to page 8 like you did and the same thing. Why is this? Why are they blank? I am not in the know.
I feel used again. You and Brownsfan2119 made me look at 7 and 8.
Is there no end to this?

Too bad CoachB wasn't a hot woman that we had a one night stand with.
Then I wouldn't mind being used.
But the guy definitely has more issues than being a liar. Liars don't take things that far for that long. He has other issues that he needs to work out.

Now if page 6 was blank also, I would take it as no team in 96, 97 and 98. But since page 6 works, that is moot. I'm being goofy now. But in all seriousness (what a word) why doesn't page 7 and 8 work? Or is this all a joke? I don't know. I feel stupid.

You sleuth on posters...how did B get by you?
I wouldn't say he did. I do use the search options on here quite a bit. With all the "haters" and "lovers" comments I check to see who says what. My latest search was on "LoyalDawg." People were calling him a Quinn hater but I wanted to know for myself. Turns out he is. I also have posted on numerous occasions that I use the feature. I believe I told B he was one of them.
As it relates to Ammo, I actually found out who he was by chance. Like I said I read JJ Huddle and they had an article and his brothers roster on there because of all the crap that was going on with their ex-coach. I also told him about it way back then.
CoachB is the only guy I really did any research on. I did it a while back because I thought he was full of crap about what he was posting. I try and follow high school sports in Ohio and some of his statements about his team didn't add up. I said it publicly back then and Otto pmed me about it. Otto was convinced back then that B was full of it. I thought he was a high school coach but wouldn't tell Otto where I thought he coached. I figure if B wanted people to know, it was his place to say something.
Some people want to remain anonymous. It isn't my business (or anyone elses) to out them. I can tell you that I am pretty friendly with Jules but didn't even know her last name. I talk to Diam more then anyone but I don't even know his 1st name. I'm sure I could find out if they didn't want to tell me. The thing is, why would I want to? There is someone on here that I have been pming back and forth about B. He knows his name and where his kid goes to school. I haven't asked his name and he hasn't offered it. What we have talked about did confirm my suspicions about him. Turns out Otto was right all along.
All I know about you (other then what you have said) is that you are one of the most knowledgeable on here and that you are a very good guy. That info came from someone who I believe, so I believe it.
I will say that I wonder what Vers is thinking about all of this. I don't know anything about him but I do believe he is honest. The same person who has said good things about you is the one who knows Vers on a personal level. B did seem to walk the walk and talk the talk. The thing is he pushed his little act too far. I believe he wanted all of this to come out.

Oh yeah....I have met GM, 337, Babe (i stalked her), IAM, Deisle. I think GM had a thing for me....he tried to kiss me..... ok ok that was a lie

Well, I've read almost all the posts to date. Is this page 7 or 8? Anyway, The thing that surprises me is how many people still want to believe that some part of his story is true. Guys....it's all made up. Everything. While I can't prove it, mainly because I don't want to waste my time doing the necessary research to prove something like this, I'm sure the Cancer claim was as bogus as the rest of his crap. Think about it. He wasn't in the hospital when he said he was. He was home posting as "Woody" (really like that name, eh Toad?...... ). So if he would lie about a hospital stay why wouldn't he lie about all the rest. Answer: He would and did. I was convinced his downfall was near when he started the "I have Cancer thread". Seriously, how many people start a thread on their own illnesses. Maybe on a loved one's sickness to ask for prayers. But on your own illness? Maybe a PM to someone to let them know....but an entire thread!?! The other thing that surprises me is how many are saying they suspected something was fishy about the ol' coach. All I gotta say is some of you hid it pretty well. I mean the dude had a bigger fan club that Toad does. Toad is real, by the way, I've met him. (He's much uglier in person....... ).

Look at earlier posts. Other people weren't getting page 7 neither. I am now. I am confused. Earlier it just said ad manager and it was blank. Now it works. Ever feel like something is so messed up that people are playing a joke on you, but know you are right? I feel like that right now. This is funny.

Wow.
Today, my main reason for loggin in was to come here for an update on B. I scanned the thread titles looking for the "CoachB's Son" thread, and couldn't find it. Then, out of curiosity, I opened this thread. All I could do was shake my head and feel sad about the whole damned thing.
The saddest part of all this is so simple, a child can figure it out... this place that we all enjoy so much is a community. As such, it has the power to make our lives a bit better by being members. If what's been posted here is true, then B is the big loser in this whole scenario, not those of us who extended ourselves to him.
Each of us is free to be ourselves or anyone else we wish to be... not just on this board, but in real life, as well. Each comes with a price.
For those of us who choose to be ourselves, we take the risk of being duped by disingenuous sorts. For me, the risk is worth it... I'd rather trust- and truly enjoy my interactions, even if it means that I get burned occasionally. As a result, I have many more fond memories in my life than regrets, when it comes to the people I have known.
For B and others like him, the price is very different, and in my view- far more costly. By choosing to hide behind a personna when dealing with The Community, he paid the price of never having made a real connection with any of the decent, fascinating people who make this place what it is.
What a hollow and lonely place to be.
And here's the biggest irony of all: If he'd taken the same chance as the rest of us, he might have found a community which accepted the "real B" (whoever the hell that is...) Instead, he leaves us in disgrace, and a stranger to us all. Truly sad.
Well... the truth is simple: it's B's loss, not ours.
And B... if by any chance you're reading this thread, I'll give you one last thing to think about: If you actually came on here and owned up, there's a good chance that you'd find forgiveness from some... but you've lost the trust of all. That said, you've pretty much lost everything that comes with being a member of a community.
A man truly is only as good as his word.
I come on here almost daily (for news, updates, opinions, etc.) but don't post much 'cuz I type pretty slowly. This is one great way of putting things in perspective, and words to live by!

Well otto, as I have said, I never suspected anything.
Regardless, I would hope that if someone that posts here was sick that they would start a thread about it - if they were comfortable doing that.
I would.

Well it was a lot of things, but it finally ended when he got into a fight playing basketball.....from what was told to me....
Coach Flannery was having none of that...and he was gone...
But at that point so was I....I was a Senior and he started on our Varsity team as a Sophmore.....
I think Boone was a freshman...but that doesn't seem to add up but I do now that I think about it...I do remember just how huge his friggin feet were though dude....like boats...no joke...
His brother was short, MUCH shorter, but more beastly because of it....forget his name...older

Well, you might. You might not. But, personally, I think it's fairly ego-centric to announce to the world on an Internet message board that you have an incurable (or possibly incurable) disease.
It's just saying look at me. Feel sorry for me. Especially in this instance. Now if you happen to mention it in a thread about something else and that turns into a discussion on your circumstances that is a different story.
I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this.

Everytime there is a new post my computer takes me right to that page. On the main page it shows 10 pages on this subject, but it kicks me to page 7 now with the new posts showing. And it does show a page 8 but when I click it, it shows a blank ad manager.
I have been coming here for years and this is the first time the madness has happened. WTH?
DawgMichelle, you know what system I'm running. Is this normal. And no, I didn't buy a new computer.

I almost brought up Vers....
I know I've had my share of arguments with him. Hell we all probably have. I just didn't like his style of attack posting. It's one thing to give your opinion, it's another to call out others who don't agree.

That was unsatisfying for a kid who'd run every team since that day on the field at 112th and St. Clair when Irv White put the ball in his hands. Smith's stay at the school ended during his junior year, shortly after his elbow knocked out Toledo St. John's player John Floyd.

Wow this is unbelievable, I even asked this guy for advice on how to get into coaching a while ago...what a joke...It is pretty funny to go back and ready some of the old posts from this clown tho...read this one...
------------------------------- I have many fond memories and hopefully have more to come. I have been blessed in every sport I've played. I have a couple of moments I'll share.
The most humorous one (though you might have had to be there) was when I was playing baseball and running track. It was tough getting to both practices and making all the events. One time we had a home meet and a home game. I was playing 1st and also throwing shot, disc, and high jump. During our half the inning when I wasn't due up, I ran over to the track and would throw or jump in my baseballl uniform and go back in time to get back in the field. I went 4-5 with 1 HR, took 1st in the shot, 3rd in disc, and 5th in high jump.
Another highlight was my senior year. Once the score was settled and Dad had pulled me from the game, I would set my helmet down, grab a headset and Dad would include me in the playcalling like I was an asst. coach. He knows that coaching is my goal, after playing for the Browns of course, and he gave me that opportunity. I'm not the only one he's done that with, but some of the staff said I was well ahead in the learning curve.
The greatest moment of my career thus far, though, was the day I signed my letter of intent. I had really wanted to go to OSU, but had decided I wanted to play right away and didn't want to add 40 pounds and change positions and wait to play for a couple of year. The coach at the school I had decided on was someone I was very familiar with. We went there on signing day to sign the letter of intent. I sat with the coaches with my parents there and signed. After that, Coach announced that Dad had accepted a job on the staff. It was the most touching moment I've ever had. Dad had turned down offers to coach in college before because it was his dream to coach me in high school and mine too. Then we both realized another dream when he accepted the job. He had always wanted to go into the college ranks and I had a goal of playing college ball. To be able to achieve both on the same day and know we would enjoy that coach/player relationship for another 4 years was just too good to be true. Now, if he follows me to the Browns when I get drafted in 3 years, I will have to edit this post

I guess the only sad part in all this is that it makes you question the times when things really do happen to people you know on message boards...
just last july, the moderator of the Cleveland browns forum on footballsfuture.com died of cancer after a couple month long struggle that was posted fairly regularly about on the boards.... now, from what i remember, the moderator was personally known by a lot of people on the board, and was fairly authenticated as such...but then reading this today, i wonder, "was it the same guy?"
so far, I've stopped myself from going back and checking their posts, because honestly, i don't really want to know
plus i have a final tomorrow...and shouldn't be on here

I read that about running track and playing baseball simultaneously.... I didn't want to be the a-hole who said that he was FOS, but it definitely was suspicious.
I'm thinking, what happens if he got delayed? Or it was a quick inning? He had to take the field, right? Did he DH? Didn't want to say anything, as the thread around it was about his sick/possibly dying father.
Speaking of which, as a nurse, I also found it odd that he was that sick for that long. Sure, if he is on chemo he could become neutropenic with his white cells dropping. It's pretty rare for him to run a fever and still throw up for that long from the flu, as he said it was.
And typically the flu isn't the intestinal kind we sometimes think it is. Influenza is a respiratory infection. The intestinal virus that we sometimes get that causes diarrhea and vomiting doesn't last as long as it seemed it was for "coach," and it usually isn't accompanied by a high fever like he said. Influenza (the flu) will cause a high fever, but like I said, doesn't typically have nausea/vomiting/diarrhea with it.
Just something I picked up on, but still was gullible enough to still trust.

If all B ever wanted was some attention, then his wish came true: he's going out in a "blaze of glory" of epic proportions. I mean, 8 pages on Dawgtalkers? That's a real accomplishment, as message boards go.
I can't help but wonder if he was really going to bail soon anyway... you know- come on here posting as "CoachB's Son," and saying something like:
"After fighting like Superman, Dad finally met his Ultimate Kryptonite. He lost his gallant fight last evening... at 9:11 P.M. I'm sorry, but this site holds too many painful memories for me to ever visit again. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and expressions of support."
Face it, folks- for someone who made a 7+ year posting career out of duping an entire (or almost entire) community, what more dramatic way could you manufacture for making your exit? You'd become an instant internet legend.
Not sayin'... just sayin'...
Too bad the (presumed) effort fell just short... kinda like "Red Right 88."
Kinda fitting, wouldn't you say?
"too many notes, not enough music-"

i think he already showed us his intention...the thing that really had me going was that his son just randomly decided that this was the time and place to start posting in football discussion forums....
i mean, his son would have had to known that his dad posted on this forum, with the regularity that he did it, so what son in his right mind would have decided as his dad was dying, that it was time to start posting about Cutler, or his personal accomplishments in track and field, etc. (it would have made sense if he only came to post updates as a favor to his dad, but he didn't)
basically, coach B would have been pronounced dead at some point, and CoachB's son would have become a regular on this board, with oddly similar viewpoints and an even more exciting background story

LOL.
Why is eveyone wasting so much time on this clown?
Didn't he send a pic to DT photo album? Wonder who that guy is...LOL
Who cares though, its the internet...It's what people do sometimes this weirdo is probably enjoying every minute of this.
I just am pissed because in one of our DA vs BQ arguments this clown used his "indisder" info w/ someone in the organization to trump his view over mine...I called him out, and he got some back up from poster(s) who I will leave unnamed due to this situation and their feelings already.....
Oh well though, lets move on.
