What's everyone's infatuation with receivers having numbers in the 80's? I've noticed that on this forum for a few years now.
Personally I think they should open up the single digits for wideouts and DB's. Make it more like college and high school.
a lot of people dont like any non 80's because its different. some people just dont like what they are not used to. i like your idea, change it up a little.

I believe that the motivation for opening up 11 to 19 for WR's was that some teams had retired some of those numbers and it was difficult to fill out a roster without a retired number.
I have not seen a new QB wearing anything else other than 1 to 10 for the past couple of years, it looks as though they have been limited to those numbers.

I know who you're talking about. I really liked him when he was in college. I'm an OSU fan and he single handedly (or no handedly) stopped several Michigan drives to help us win.

Mammal, you animal. I am Old School football, and I like it so far. The Rings don't win games; poularity can't make a goal line stand stick, reputations don't whip opponents. I like the APPROACH to the game for a change on the coaching side of things. If the whiners, weakhearts, etc. don't want to play hard, then keep the Marines. I have a glimmer of hope. We shall see. Let's not forget Robiske wearing #80..
I'd guess that there are at least three of those mentioned that won't make the team,,, Just a guess but I'd say that Ellis, Madsen and maybe either Furrey or Hubbard, although Hubbard has what appears to be some upside. He certainly has the size....

Selfless is in the context about placing "team" before "individual" stats.
eg... Harrison should have played more last year, but Lewis because he is the veteran gets more carries and has a 1000 yard season.
